New to VRBO and completely renovated. This one-of-a-kind property is the ideal mountain getaway! Weâre excited to share it with you.
We had a couple getaway for Oktoberfest. We had a great time & loved this place. It was the perfect location in downtown. Very charming place and the owners were great. The food at the Village Crepe Haus was delicious.
Will definitely stay again if available during our next trip.
Cozy, comfortable and classy. Located in center of Helen historic district. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. Parked in closest parking lot (50 feet from doorstep. 24 hour tickets for $10) refreshed ticket at midnight every night!!! Very fun 3 day stay.
This rental is absolutely a must for a romantic getaway. It is located right in the heart of Helen, GA, which feels like a Bavarian village in Germany. The location was directly above a quaint winery and in the middle of all the happenings going on. Even being centered in the town along the cobblestone streets, crowd noise was of no issue. Could y hear a thing while relaxing in the room. Will definitely be back!
Adorable and cozy B&B tucked away in the middle of everything! Just park your car when you arrive and then all the restaurants, shops, bars are a short walking distance. Coffee and breakfast were nice surprise! Would definitely stay here again.
We loved our weekend getaway. Perfect location and a comfy place for the family. We enjoyed being able to see the sites, and swing in for some rest before enjoying our evening. Would definitely stay here again.
As far as the accommodations it was really great. Location was perfect. A little loud at night cause you are right on the street, but to be nit picking that would be all. Then the only other issue was the window unit was especially loud. To watch tv and have that running was hard. But again nit picking. It over all would recommend this little studio I guess you would call it.
We had a wonderful visit! The location was central to everything. The room was quiet and comfortable. The crepes at Barryâs restaurant were delicious! Barry was incredibly responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay again.
Great accommodations for quick get away.
Went to see Christmas decorations. Central location was perfect, right in the center of town.
Room had all the amenities advertised..
The property was very clean, well organized and right in the center of downtown Helen. Walking distance from all attractions and a short drive away from walking trails and wineries! This was my first experience with VRBO and I am beyond happy with the outcome. Great place to stay and amazing hosts!
Room is right on the strip, easy walking distance to everything on the strip. Breakfast daily at the Village Crepe Haus was great! Barry was very responsive to any questions we had. Book with confidence, eveything was as advertised.
This was a perfect place to experience Helen! The host was very helpful and courteous. The room is one of the neatest places I have ever stayed. I would highly recommend this to anyone!
We were so thrilled with this BNB. Location was great! Breakfast & coffee was amazing! Room was so welcoming & comfortable. Barry was a great host. Very friendly. We loved how close we were to everything. It was our first time in Helen. Cute town and whatâs even better, I got proposed here! Weâll definitely be back for sure!
It was smack dab in the middle of town, yet no outside noises. Above a crepe shop that provided free breakfast. It was adorably decorated. Had heated towel rack, heat lamp stepping out of the shower, big screen TV, comfy comfy bed, attentive property manager, plenty of City parking at a minimum fee per day. It was just the most awesome experience I've probably ever had and the cutest place that had everything you could need.
My husband and I took a quick weekend trip to Helen and we found this B&B. It was great! Perfect location, clean and exactly for what we wanted. It took a minute to find it because we were not familiar with the area and there wasn't a map or an aerial view. The bed was the top of the line mattress and if you like a soft bed, this is the bed for you. If you prefer a firm mattress like I do, it was a little harder to sleep but that is a personal preference. The breakfast was awesome, crepes yum!! Over all 5 out of 5.
No one informed us about the three flights is steps we had to negotiate to our room. No one said there would be a searchlight outside our bedroom window. And, most importantly, we were not told about the loudspeaker blasting rock music out front. Ladies, make sure you move the shower head back so your hair doesnât get drenched!
When we picked up the room key, I specifically asked about parking and unloading our bags. We were advised by the owners representative to park behind the building to unload and then move our vehicle to the permanent parking spot.
As soon as we parked as instructed behind the building, were meet by neighboring business employees. These employees became very aggressive and started cussing at us about where we parked. They started threatening us with the police and taking pictures of our vehicle. This continued every time we went outside and the number of employees increased which created an unsafe environment. The verbal abuse from these employees continued to escalate and had the potential to become physical if we didnât walk away from them.
Our family now feels unsafe here.
If you are going to Helen, this has to be the best place for a couple to stay.
The decor and comfortable furnishings provide a retreat from all that is Helen, and you honestly won't be aware of any hustle and bustle one you're inside. But when you want to experience all this tiny town has to offer, all you have to do is walk down the stairs. You will be in the middle of EVERYTHING!
The crew at the Village Crepe Haus was fantastic - breakfast daily was included, along with coffee (There's also a Coffee machine in room). Parking was easy, a separate $10/day charge, and it was only a few steps away, paid directly at the machine in the parking lot.
We celebrated my wife's December birthday, and Helen was fully decorated for Christmas. Inside the room, the host had placed a small, decorated tree - a nice touch.
If you do take some rest in the gorgeous room, there is a big screen smart-TV, high speed Internet, and an electric fireplace (great for a chilly night). It's an easy place to relax and unwind. The candy store and wine shop next door also help.
The only reason I'd stay anywhere else in Helen would be if this place were unavailable.
My husband & I took a quick trip to Helen during Christmas market. Very cute place & we couldnât ask for a better location.Itâs an easy walking distance to everything & perfect location to walk to shops & restaurants & return to the room to drop off purchases. Lovely clean room & plenty of space with many beautiful details throughout including a fireplace.
We do have some suggestions to make future stays a little more comfortable. Parking is $10 per day which we were not aware of at booking. Finding our room was a little confusing but by comparing the pictures in the listing we took a chance & walked up the stairs which were white & not like the pictures. We suggest adding 3B/name of BNB on the door or at the bottom of stairs
It rained the entirety of our stay & there were no hooks to hang our wet raincoats or to hang clothes. Bathroom is nice but small & dark with low water pressure. The barn door is cute but there is little privacy so I would definitely share the room with someone youâre very comfortable with. ;) The bed is extra soft which Iâm sure is OK for others but for those of us who need a firmer mattress for our backs itâs something to be aware of. The alley lights were bright at night so adding shades to block out that light would be helpful
None of these suggestions would keep us from returning but I did want to share our thoughts so others could know more when they book. We absolutely enjoyed our stay & do recommend it but wanted to be honest in our review.
First and foremost, the location of this property canât be beat. Right in the center of town, but we had no issue with noise or disturbances. So easy to walk everywhere! The addition of breakfast at the Crepe Haus is also a thoughtful touch.
The property itself, although very clean, has started to show its age. A few cosmetic touch ups would go a long way - cleaning marks and scuffs off the walls, patching nail/screw holes, etc. Since the property is older, everything is a bit smaller, the ceilings are lower, and it seems especially tight in the bathroom. May not be a big deal for some, but I am 5â11â and my husband is 6â5â so it was a bit unexpected since previous reviews had not called this out. As another reviewer mentioned, the rainfall showerhead is nice but tricky to manuever if you are trying not to get your hair wet.
Based on personal preference, one of our largest issues was the bed. The mattress is pure foam and extremely soft. The pillows were well used, flat, and a little lumpy. All of the linens (all bedding, towels) were cleaned or sprayed with something heavily scented. It permeated our hair and pajamas, requiring some items to be laundered multiple times once we got home to get the smell out, so word of caution to anyone with allergies or sensitivities.
General check in and out information was not proactively provided, but the host was very responsive when we inquired. Overall, the property would be decent for those with different preferences than us
