We were in town to visit family, and the WonderLoft was well-suited for our visit. It's great to be near shops and food options downtown, and the space is clean and comfortable. Good communication with the host.
I come into Honesdale once each year and having a place like this was wonderful. Great location, very clean, spacious, and 2 bathrooms. Thanks Tim, We loved our visit.
We've stayed at these lofts twice and had excellent experiences both times. The properties are very spacious, well equipped, and clean. We had one issue with check-in, and the host was very quick to correct it. Anytime I have a question, the host replies immediately. It's also a great location with lots of amenities nearby.
Very nice, spacious, clean, and comfortably quiet. The kitchenette was big but we didnât use it. On our next visit, Iâd love to see a curtain in the back bedroom, and more hangars and places to hang things. Otherwise it was a superb stay. We made a dinner reservation for Native which is directly below Wonder.
My family and I stayed for a week in unit A2. Checkin and checkout were very easy. Unit had almost everything we needed. We bought a curtain for the back bedroom because itâs super bright in the morning on that side and there is no covering. Got a simple spring rod to hold it. We also bought another spring rod to hang clothes in a doorway on because the tall armoire did not have one. Also bought a wire holder for neck of shower faucet because there was nowhere to put shower toiletries. Kitchen chair legs need to be tightened because theyâre very loose..but otherwise, the space was cute and decorated in a cool retro fashion. AC and WiFi worked very well. Will stay again. Thanks!
Great accommodation for 4 of us. Having the two baths was great and the fact that Gravity Ice Cream is directly across the street was an added value !
Loft was roomy, clean, clean, clean and comfotable.
The loft was lovely & met our needs perfectly in a town that is desperately short of visitor accommodations. Super comfy bed & high quality linens were both noticed & appreciated.
Definitely a loft as described! Different kind of property, very open, comfortable. Great having two bathrooms and full kitchen. Good location for Honesdale very central to everything.
What a great use of space! It is very well equipped and clean. It is a roomy and spacious. We had 5 adults and did not feel like we were on top of each other at all. There is a very smart layout. We were in town for a wedding and it is a perfect location for the venue at 6th and River (easy walk across the street). And I loved the seating area at the entrance.
Thanks for having us!
I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because there was no curtain over the back window and it let in all the morning sun and it was on a very busy (noisy) street. It was clean, as described, and convenient.
We enjoyed our time in Honesdale. We were in the area to ski, but were really pleased both with the town and the loft in it. Really couldn't have been more comfortable.
Perfect accommodations for some friends needing a place to rest while on our ski trip to elk mountain. The town is awesome too, plenty of spots for great drinks and food!
I stayed in A2 from Thursday night to Saturday morning. The loft was very clean, large, and well kept. The bed was super comfy! Being situated in Downtown was a big plus as well since everything was in walking distance. I stayed Thursday-Saturday and did not hear any noise coming into the loft from the restaurant downstairs
Lovely loft for a short getaway. The space has everything we needed to be comfortable- dishware, fridge, microwave, soaps, access to Netflix/Hulu. It was well appointed, stylish and clean. The temperature was easily adjustable as well.
The floors/walls do seem a bit thin as we could hear the guests walking around in the loft above us in the morning. The front windows overlook the Main Street which is generally quiet but also seems to be on a trucking route so expect them to zoom by.
The town is very cute and all walkable from the loft. Hiking trail on the edge of town. Several nice shops, Laurelâs was delicious for brunch, Here & Now brewery was great for an afternoon drink, Gravity had amazing ice cream, and Native, which was right downstairs, impressed us for dinner. Everyone was so friendly! Things do close quite early and have limited hours so beware.
Hosts were great! Check-in directions were clear. I left something behind and they made the extra effort to get it back to me which was greatly appreciated.
Overall, we very much enjoyed our short stay. I am originally from the area, and was glad to see a new option available so we could stay in town. The unit we were in was really nice. I liked the style. And the three head shower was great. We had one small issue and the owner was on top of our needs quickly and directly.
I do have some notes. First, my son was exhausted when we arrived, and chose to sleep on the pull-out couch in the back. I wish there were curtains there over the window. Although he seemed too tired to care.
Second, although aesthetically pleasing, the shelves in the kitchen were too high for me to reach the plates, bowls, and mugs. Luckily, glass storage containers were provided in a lower drawer for me to quickly reheat leftovers. [Maybe a small fold-up step stool could be provided. I didnt want to stand on the dining chairs.]
And third, the bedding was over bleached. (The tags said not to bleach them at all.) As a stomach sleeper, it was difficult to fall asleep breathing the bleach in. But the bedding itself was really nice. As were the mattress and pillows.
It felt like I was staying in a sample room in (my favorite store) IKEA.
I enjoyed relaxing on the bed, watching people frequent the ice cream stand across the street. (So many vanilla soft serve cones!!)
The mentions of the noise were accurate. It didnt quiet down outside until about 11:30. And I could definitely hear the people in the other units. And going up and down the stairs outside of our door.
Oh yeah. I didnt expect an elevator, but renters should know there are stairs to bring your luggage up.
Despite my few issues, it was a 5 star stay. And I would highly recommend it if wanting to stay in town.
Thank you Wonder.
Our stay at Wonder in Honesdale was fabulous. Our loft style condo was nicely decorated, spacious and located in the center of town. We were within walking distance of most things we wanted to do/see. Lots of wonderful hiking nearby and interesting towns across the New York border. Great long weekend getaway!
Took some time to gather my thoughts and work on my business, the town of Honesdale exceeded my expectations, the loft was more than what was pictured, my colleague and I enjoyed everything the scenery, food and people we will be back with our families.
Thanks Wonder
Hello and welcome to Wonder! I was born & raised in Honesdale, PA where our family has had roots since the mid 1800's. After Honesdale High School I received a Bachelors Degree from Penn State University, studied for a semester in Sevilla, Spain and from there I spent several years working in Marketing and Business Development Positions in Toronto, Ontario Canada, Southern California and the Northern tier of Mexico. In 2005 I decided to move home to Honesdale and join my Father at RE/MAX WAYNE in Honesdale, the business he and my Mother founded in 1993. Our Local Family Owned business has grown over the past 30 years & we now have 3 offices, in our region and my Father, Paul Meagher Sr., my wife, Heather and myself are the Broker/Owner/Team Leaders of all three offices. In 2006 our family revitalized the former Wayne County Ford Building and renovated and turned it into our Meagher Professional Offices. Over the years we have helped so many people in Honesdale and on Main St. with their real estate needs and we are actively involved in the community supporting various non profit and other volunteer organizations in the Honesdale Area. I love what I do and where I live and I'm happily married to my beautiful wife Heather and when I'm not working I enjoy being a father to my three children Sadie, Zachary & Jesse!
This building was sitting vacant for many years and after driving by it every day and seeing it falling into worse condition, I decided to take a risk and purchase the building to restore it. With the help of Samuelle Green, a high school friend, neighbor to Wonder, and amazing artist/designer/human, we were able develop the building into an amazing restaurant Native Honesdale, an awesome Bakery, Be Kind Bake House and lastly the 6 new luxury Wonder Lofts. It was a long road to get it completed but I'm so happy it has helped Main St. Honesdale and our area!
Drink and Dine in style at the newest amazing restaurant in Honesdale, Native Honesdale. Wake up to the freshest of baked goods and coffee at the Be Kind Bake House, both located on the main floor.
