The property was a great size for the two of us who came into town on Labor Day weekend to explore Kansas City. Both the rooms were adequate size, would have felt tighter if our spouses where with us. We used the dining room for some work and we hung out in the living room early mornings and at night. The furniture was very comfortable. There is not a lot of space to put travel items in the bathroom, so we used the kitchen counter instead. We only used the kitchen to make coffee, so it was fine for our needs. Our biggest disappointment was that this is NOT downtown Kansas City. I should have known by the skyline photo. That is actually what you see of KC from the property. We thought we were booking inside the city so we could walk around to coffee shops and restaurants. It was very quick and easy to get into the city or overland park or the plaza. Ubers were less than 20.00. If you don't want to be in the heart of the city, this might be a great fit for you. Bring a sound machine if you're not a sound sleeper. The highway noise can get loud.
This house is clean, modern, comfortable and accessible in an older, charming neighborhood. We felt very safe walking to explore. We'll book again when we're in KC.
Absolutely horrible host and should be removed. He stated via email there was a driveway when I questioned the email that said we could use 1 community parking spot. Then after telling me multiple times there was parking in front of the house
It was good overall, the only thing that would help improve it it would be to add some darkling / noise canceling curtains in the bedrooms. the blinds are nice
This was perfect location for our cross country trip. Beautiful views, and the old charm of the house and neighborhood was just what we needed after hours in the car. The only downfall was that it was 82 degrees in the house when we arrived, and took a few hours to get in contact with the host. They were very responsive in the evening, however since we were staying one night it turned out to be a hot stay. Someone had messed with the setting before our arrival which impacted the heat. It was unfortunate we could not get this remedied but understand that was difficult with just one night stay. I was told I would receive a 20% refund because it only dropped from 82 to 79 during the night. I have yet to receive the refund or a response to my inquiry about this after our stay. Other than the heat and lack of refund. A beautiful and convenient location!
House was very well decorated. It is an older home and on the end of a street immediately next to the interstate. Noise was not too much of a problem. Beds were very comfortable plenty of room. Parking was a small issue, but we made it work. Very close and easy access to the American Royal while we were there for a cattle show.
This was our second time staying here and i would come back again, communication was great as we had trouble with the code and super neat and clean with amazing view !!
This place was great. It was close to downtown and had plenty of room and a great small backyard. Super clean and everything went smoothly checking in and out. The only thing is, if you like super fluffy pillows I would bring your own or just double up like I did. Would definitely stay here again.
Some friends and I went to Kansas City for a concert at the T-Mobile Center, awesome location just 10 minutes away and a variety of food places near by. A little noisy from highway, but sleepable.
The host was very responsive when we told him that the hot water faucet in the shower produced lukewarm water. It was repaired the very next day in the early afternoon. Beds were comfortable even though they were smallish full-size mattresses. Heat worked perfectly as did all appliances. We hope to book this property again on our next visit to KCK! FYI. Bring headphones or earplugs if you are sensitive to highway noise!
