The property Manager Jose was AMAZING!!! It’s a very nice property in a great location. Very quiet with a nice yard and private pool, but just steps away from a cool rocky beach with is great for tide pool hunting, and a two minute walk from sandy beaches for playing in the waves.

This was our second time visiting this beautiful townhome. The host was welcoming and informative. The place and pool were immaculate and the ambience was amazing. One can’t beat being a few steps away from this very private space right on the oceanfront. Looking forward to our next visit!

Perfect Mexican Getaway

Casa Azul is a fantastic property, perfect for unwinding and spending time with family and friends. The house has everything you need to cook your own meals, and it's easy to get into any one of the towns nearby for shopping and dining out. The hosts were exceptional in answering questions and I look forward to my next visit!

Home exceeded our expectations. Bedrooms are large and each one has an A/C unit. Kitchen is a good size however the oven was not functioning for our stay (stove top worked). There is a washer and dryer but the washing machine does not sound healthy. Had troubles during the spin cycle even though we were only doing very small loads. The star of the property is the swimming pool. With the rockiness of the beach the pool was heavenly. Great property if you want to away from busy resorts and areas. I easily walked along the beach to Bucerías and La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. We had a family of six staying and there was plenty of space for all. We are already talking about booking again for next year.

What a treasure!

Wish I had more time to write this review. The entire stay was lovely. I do recommend renting a car.

Fun in the sun

Lovely accommodation with everthing we needed! Beautiful pool, beautiful view, walking distance to La Cruz fish market. Short cab ride to Bucerias Perfect for a group. Loved the iguanas that live n a pipe beneath the retaining wall…we named them Mr and Mrs Monty!

Great vacation getaway!

Jose made sure that our stay from check in to check out were flawless! Two suggestions to enhance the guest experience would be to include an English speaking news channel or two. FOX & CNN? Also a gas grill would have been nice. But overall we enjoyed our stay very much!

La Crux stay

It was very good. Great views. Chef Renée was awesome and food excellent. Jose was great showing how everything works. Pool was wonderful. The beds were hard and poor running water upstairs. Otherwise, wonderful experience.

Hi Leonard, thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed your stay. In December 2024 we put a new king “medium” mattress in the downstairs master and put new thicker, softer hybrid mattresses on the twin beds upstairs in mid-January 2025. The queen has a temperpedic mattress topper. We understand the low water flow affects only the upstairs master sink (not the showers or the other sinks), and we’ll get a plumber in. Anyway, we trust you’ll enjoy the changes should you come back. All the best! Marianne

Home in paradise

Everything about our stay was perfect. Jose could not have been nicer and more attentive to us. Not that there was anything to fix since everything was in perfect working order. Enjoyed long walks to Bucerias and La Cruz and all the fabulous restaurants. We will be back for sure

Wonderful time

We had a wonderful time at this home. The design and features of the home were beautiful. My kids enjoyed the pool and the quick access to the beach. Very quiet, clean and relaxing. My only issue was the beds were a bit hard and uncomfortable for my taste. Regardless of that, we would definitely recommend this location for a wonderful vacation getaway.

Awesome!

It is actually as wonderful as the pictures appear! Too many times, I've rented a place it just wasn't quite what the pictures lead me to believe... but this place is truly that great! Jose and his team keep the place tip-top - and he was super helpful and responsive. In fact, I don't think this place would be nearly as wonderful if Jose wasn't so on it!

Excellent Property

Beautiful home equipped with everything we required. We walked into Bucerias a couple of times and when we did need a ride we used the app indrive which is similar to Uber and the drivers got us everywhere we wanted to go. Special shout out to Jose the property manager as he went above & beyond with his communication and anything we needed.

Stay at Casa de Azul

We enjoyed our stay at Casa de Azul! We had stayed there a few years ago and they have made some good and needed improvements. Hot water in the showers was at times limited. A new water heater might help! The owners and property managers were good to communicate with. Parking at this place is a little awkward and less than ideal, but adequate. Over all this is good place with a beautiful view!

WOW!

I wish there was the option of 6 stars. Truly beautiful, peaceful, tranquil, comfortable. Is it for sale?? Seven adults stayed here for a week and we were all very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Vanessa was wonderful. Taxis affordable. Can’t think of even one problem or concern. Thanks for a wonderful week!!

Beautiful House

I stayed at this house for three weeks with my family in January 2024 (6 of us, all adults) and the house is wonderful. We did have a couple of requests that Marianne & Jose (the property manager) took care of us immediately. It was lovely to have our own pool and enjoyed swimming in it daily! The pictures on this site do not do the house justice, it is very roomy and the yard with the pool is a good size as well. The yard does offer some shade as well. We have talked about returning to this property. Marcia

Thank you so much Marcia, we are really happy you enjoyed your stay and are we will welcome you back! Bob and I were just down and we bought a new refrigerator and a gas BBQ, though we will keep the charcoal one as we prefer the flavor of food cooked over charcoal. We buy the fresh jumbo shrimp at the La Cruz market, skewer them and baste them with garlic butter for a truly delicious dinner. Just FYI, our lovely designer chairs are rather fragile, so we are reinforcing or replacing them. The mattresses are still firm but they all have toppers now. This summer we will be redoing the pool. The house will be perfect for your return!

Excellent Vacation

The property certainly met all of our expectations. The fact that it is situation right on the ocean with views across the bay was both mesmerizing and peaceful. The constant sound of the waves really is an added bonus. Unfortunately a newly erected sea wall at Punta Esmeralda (resort next door) prevented us from walking into Bucerias along the beachfront, however, we were able to enjoy daily walks along the beach heading towards La Cruz. The home is large, clean, well landscaped and has everything you need to prepare meals. A vehicle (rental, uber or taxi) is definitely required to get into Bucerias and surrounding areas. A couple of issues came up during our stay and Jose the building manager was very quick to respond, thank you Jose! Would I stay here again? Absolutely and look forward to it!

Great stay! Perfect for a relaxing “not an all inclusive “ break.

Check in here was seamless. Jose is literally a gem. Having housekeepers was amazing for a mom of three boys who needs a break! Pool and beach ( not swimming too rocky) but great for a beer, chair in the water and a good book. Besides a couple geckos , and a big lizard fella who took his morning swim( expected lol) this place was just great. Close to La Cuz and it’s fresh fish market, ten minutes drive to Bucerías for lots of fun. 25 minutes to so many beaches.I’ve travelled the world being a travel agent, but this was a topper for a good family retreat . Clean, fun, lots of space. I’ll be recommending this to my friends Thanks for the memories! Only cons: Night club down the beach could hear music until late, fireworks No Tupperware ( mom thing) Upgraded some spices for new comers they humid out Leaky water cooler but no biggie Jose was awesome when the hot water tank broke and WAS ON IT.

Lovely Stay

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. My BF and I brought our kids here for spring break and it was so relaxing. We each had our own bedroom, 3.5 bathrooms was amazing and plenty of hot water when showering. Beautiful and comfortable house, perfect size swimming pool, water temp was great and being right on the ocean was a gorgeous setting. Also, the property is next door to a condo complex and this allowed us to order food and drinks from their kitchen and bar which was convenient and amazing! I wish I could give it 5 stars but there are a couple of things I would improve:1. There is no shade in the backyard. I recommend the owners provide a big umbrella, similar to the neighbor's house, that can provide some shade when laying on the lounge chairs. I like to lay in the sun a bit, but also want a break from the sun and would love to be able to lay on the lounge chairs and read in the shade. There is a table with an umbrella in the middle, but this only provides shade if your sitting at the table, 2. House sits right on the ocean, but not in a swimmable area- not too big of a deal as you can walk a few minutes away and be at a sandy beach. Overall, great stay.
