Perfect cabin for a large family or group of friends
Perfect location close to Snowbasin. Such a cool cabin with everything you could ever want. We loved the living room, the decor and the hot tub. Cooking in the big kitchen each night was a highlight. Each room is unique and cozy. We look forward to coming back!
First time to the area for our annual ski trip which typically consisnts of 6-8 adults (male). The house is in close proximity to Snowbasin and just up the hill...maybe 12 minutes to the parking lot. Overall the personality and feel of the house is very cool, rustic and clean. The beds and sleeping arrangements we comfortable. The jacuzzi was clean and everything was in working order. The bathrooms could be in better shape and more upgraded to include simple things like new/clean bath mats and soap. Overall I'd give this 4.5 stars if I was able to do so.
Beautiful home and location. House was not maintained/cleaned properly and could be improved. Additionally better locks on house to feel more secure and windows need curtains. Would be helpful to have instructions for the tv, hot tub, trash pickup as well. We did have a good stay and will recommend for others to stay there.
Great log cabin near snowbasin - room for improvement
The log cabin was beautiful and located in a convenient spot for our family of 12 to ski Snowbasin. The parking was good and the home and bedrooms were good sized and the log cabin vibe with the large fireplace was really nice. The lower level where some of our kids stayed seemed outdated and looked a bit rundown. Many of the bedrooms did not have closets. The sheets and pillows and comforters seemed old and outdated. Many of them did not fit the beds. The kitchen was great for family cooking and was well stocked with everything we needed to cook, but many of the dishes seemed dirty, and we had to rewash them before we used them. We had to run a an extension cord to plug in the television because the outlet didnât work and the icemaker was broken, but the host had bags of ice delivered. The hot tub was nice and had an incredible view. As you can tell, overall, I am mixed on this home. It had lots of good features, a great log cabin feel,a nice view, and a convenient location, but definitely did not feel upscale.
Luxury Cabin w/amazing views - perfect for family reunions
An unexpected 3-row display of colorful cowboy boots greeted us upon entering, followed by a super high vaulted ceiling above the living room, functional fireplace, and comfortable first class furniture. The huge open dining room and kitchen with top flight appliances got a good workout with our 2 adult chef sons making delicious gourmet meals. The A/C was a welcome feature during the 90+ degree July days and warm nights. Most meals were eaten on the huge East facing deck overlooking Pineview Reservoir. A large gas grill AND charcoal grill are on the deck where we grilled meats and roasted corn & chickens. Comfortable beds for our 6 teen grandkids downstairs with pool and ping-pong,TV, games and another huge deck plus several bathrooms. Main floor master bedroom had a huge private bath/shower, separate private deck and comfortable king bed with expensive linens. All upstairs bedrooms were comfy, one of which also has a deck.
Activities included rental of a huge pontoon power boat, knee board, life jackets and a 3-person tube for 4 hours of high speed fun on the reservoir. Another day we all biked along one side of the reservoir and enjoyed a fun meal at a Mexican restaurant. In the garage were several tubes, stand up paddle boards, fold up chairs, shade tent, etc. which we were free to use on the beach for another fun afternoon. I see why many guests rent during wintertime - with the ski resort so close. We highly recommend this amazing cabin. Well worth renting!
Spencer was a great host. Extremely responsive. House super spacious and comfortable. The location was great, 10ish mins to a nice grocery store, under 10 mins to the reservoir beaches and old Monestary which is now a really cute farmers market. Would stay again!
