Just steps to Sea Colony's half-mile of private guarded beach, not to mention the community's oceanfront pools and fitness room, this one-level layout features a living and dining area, well-equipped kitchen, full hallway bathroom and two bedrooms, including the primary suite. Central air conditioning, washer and dryer. Accessible without stairs. 3 TVs, 3 DVDs, Wifi.

You can walk right onto the beach. However pools on our side of complex closed and had to go to other side which given low season saw no Tram which was advertised on map.

Great Stay

Place was clean and just as we expected. We had a great time, we love the Sea Colony facilities and being on the first floor with quick access to the beach was key having little ones! Would definitely stay again.

Sea Colony is a great community

We have stayed at a Sea Colony property twice and are overall very pleased with our experience. They have a quick and helpful check in experience, great amenities, wonderful beach-front condos that make our beach going experience so easy and enjoyable. We will definitely stay again!

Little outdated great location

Great location, not worth the money

The location was the only plus of this rental. I’m not one to complain, but for the extremely high price, this unit was very very outdated and not very clean! There were flies all over the kitchen which completely grossed me out. The couch is definitely from the 70’s, the carpet is very cringy! The floors and kitchen were dirty when we entered, it was seriously disappointing for over 3,000 for the week. My only happiness was the ability to walk out and be steps to the pools and beach…but honestly it was NOT worth the price.

Bethany Beach Sea Colony 107B

Sea Colony is located on the beach and located close to town and the Boardwalk. The facility is clean on the exterior and feels very safe. Staff member are gracious and helpful. Bethany Beach is a darling resort town. This unit, however, is tired and in need of some remodeling, especially the guest bathroom....moldy caulking "gunked" on, tiles loose in the ceiling, wallpaper peeling off, etc. The blinds over the sliding glass door would not open and close. The kitchen, living room, & master bedroom are fine. Because we were flying in, we didn't bring bedding or towels....we were charged over $150.00 for three adults and two infants!! Infant pool was not heated so too cold for babies or toddles to play in. The pool was unlocked at 10:00. This seems awfully late for a resort to open a pool especially when check-out is at 10:00. So, I have mixed feelings about Sea Colony resort. I do like the area but may look for another place to stay in the future.

Location, location, dirty

I booked this rental mainly because of the price (we stayed the week of September 9th) I read the reviews go scared but in the end we loved it. Hopefully the cleaning staff steps up. You absolutely can not beat the location, out your door (beach cart provided) short walk to beach or pool, sunny most of the day and a breeze from the ocean. We loved the couch and don't think it's very old (as one review said) we fixed the blinds and the stove/oven is new. As the washer/dryer is too. The king bad isn't uncomfortable, but old as is the other beds (mattress pad will go a long way) We brought games, but there were several there along with lots of children's books. There were dishes/pots/pans for cooking and the coffee (drip) worked fine, but is old. The bathrooms seem newer, the hot water does run out-but the facility is huge. The beds all had sheets, even the trundle (the one we used) and towels/washcloth's were supplied along with soap/shampoo/dishwasher soap (none of which I knew) The facility also offers bins/carts to haul your luggage up. The pools were clean, lifeguard on duty at the pool and beach All and all, I'd stay here again. Fingers crossed the staff can get it together

Beware. Old, Dirty, and Run Down

Just a warning. The pictures do not tell the story. This place is old, run down, very dirty, and broken. From the coffee pot that is unusable, to the rusty outdoor furniture, to the black mold in the bathroom, or the stained everything, and the broken sliding back door that only has a small piece of metal to use rather than a handle. You will be disappointed, and a bit grossed out by this unit. Vacasa and Sea Colony should be embarrassed to be associated with this property and to be renting this out. I would assume no one has been in this unit to inspect it for renters for about 5-10 years. There are holes in the walls, broken blinds that enable passersby to watch the kids get changed or sleep, and missing blinds in the living room to avoid any privacy at all. Luckily there are plenty of old stained pillows and musty blankets left in the closets. Vacasa and Sea Colony should do better and should want to be associated with better. This unit hurts your brand.

Great location, Rental NEEDS AN UPDATE

I have to agree with the other reviewer (too bad we booked in February, before the review). The location of this rental is great - it is close to the pools and beaches. But that is its only pro. The first issue was that it was pretty dirty - dirty dishes in the dishwasher, food stains on the cabinets, garbage under the trundle beds, crumbs and other dust on the carpet. It appears the cleaners broke one of the window blinds and just put it in the corner of the living room. The AC filter was incredibly dusty, which I cleaned and then when I opened the vent, was pretty grossed out by the amount of dust - it has not been changed in quite awhile. I called and the rental company came quickly to change the filter, which was great, but didn't even bother to wipe any of the dust off. The vacuum cleaner hadn't been dumped out and wouldn't suck up anything - I cleaned it and then was able to suck up some of the grime. The cleaners don't actually move any of the furniture around at all so you peek under the couch or coffee table and there is food and grime, etc. I could go on about the cleanliness, but I will stop. The other big issue with the condo is that it is just very outdated - the ceiling in the first bathroom looks like it is going to cave in, the caulking around the shower and bath is caked in grime, some of the plugs didn't work, the blinds were broken, the screen door handle was broken, etc. It needs a makeover.

Great spot in the complex

Loved the proximity to the pool and beach. Roomy outdoor space. Comfortable furniture. Big main bedroom. Only 3 stars because the bathrooms are tiny, the condo says it sleeps 6 but didn’t have enough hot water for 3 people.

Great Location

Pros-Location is perfect. Close to pool and beach access. Kitchen is fully stocked. Showers are updated. Cons-Needs more lighting. Only two small lamps in the master. Lighting in kitchen and dining room is not bright enough. Could use an additional dresser in both bedrooms.

A wonderful week at Sea Colony!

107 Brandywine was sparkling clean and the bathrooms and kitchen were beautifully updated! It is a very spacious unit with a nice beachy decor, including a sizable palm tree! Just steps to the beach and very close to one of the many pools! We enjoyed a wonderful week and loved staying at Sea Colony with all of its amazing amenities! The unit is in need of a few updates, but they were minor.

The fees were way too expensive.

No flexibility in early check-in in and late checkout. No beachchairs and gear was a big disappointment.

We aim to make the price of our rentals as completely transparent as possible and provide a breakdown of each cost you pay towards the rental before, and throughout the booking process, including all fees and taxes. We are not able to accommodate early check-ins or late checkouts at this time because we are allowing our housekeeping staff ample time to clean and disinfect the homes in between guests. In order to promote the health and safety of our communities, we’re expanding our cleaning measures overall and increasing the time our housekeepers spend caring for each Vacasa home. The place was exactly as pictured. Very clean and has everything you need - although not very updated. The Sea Colony Resort was nice and had many amenities, although some of them (like the outdoor basketball court) were closed due to "COVID-19".

Long weekend

The place was great and looked even better than the pictures because the bathrooms are brand new. The only big issue we had was the missing blinds from the sliding door giving us no privacy in the evenings. Anyone walking by could see right in.

Great location; Older condo

Sea Colony is perfectly located in Bethany Beach and convenient to restaurants & shops! The ammenities within Sea Colony are excellent too (fitness club; swimming pools; private beach). The condo was older and had some things that should be looked into - some of the blinds on the slider in the living room were missing, leaving it easy to see in the ground floor condo; there were stains on the carpet; the coffee maker was still full of coffee with grounds in the filter when we arrived and the air conditioner is quite loud in the master bedroom.

Sea Colony is wonderful as usual but could use some brightening up. Condo has new bathrooms but furniture was old and second bedroom was really lacking. Location was good but no ocean view.
