Everything was great. The views were absolutely the best ever. The location was perfect. Being in between OC and Bethany made everything easily accessible. There was an elevator. It is very close to the beach and easy to walk there. Also, there is a light shining directly on the beach at night from the top of the building. Watching the waves at night was great. We truely enjoyed our relaxing stay. Everything in the house was comfortable and clean. Kitchen was fully stocked and clean. No complaints from us.

Fell in Love with Sea Colony

While traveling the US, we stayed for the first time at Sea Colony. It was the perfect spot for a couple days relaxing beach vacation. Perfect Ocean view, great pools and an apartment with all the amenities a family needs. Thank you for that wonderful experience.

Overall nice place to stay!

This was our 9th year renting in Island House and this was definitely a great unit. Some updates (kitchen counter and showers) and some things still outdated (green carpet in bedroom) but overall clean and nice! The kitchen needs scissors, more sharp knives and a bigger/better frying pan.

Great resort, condo was ok

The view from this condo was amazing. Sitting on the balcony with my morning coffee watching the ocean waves was very relaxing. The place is small but sufficient. Kitchen not very well equipped though. Needs some new knives and other utensils. Probably would stay in another unit in the complex when we return.

ed by Vacasa that due to construction, I would not be able to stay at this condo. They offered another unit but was not comparable to the one I chose. Luckily was able to find another beautiful condo in Ocean City. Will be going there in the future

Great view and Amenities

The multiple Pools, beach access, and view are wonderful. Other perks were the convenience of beach wheelchairs to help the elderly moms have access to the beach, beautiful courtyards to stroll around in lieu of a boardwalk. The unit we stayed needs new mattresses. The master was not comfortable and headboard was loose and squeaked with every move, the twin beds in room 3 don’t fit the frames well, and I whacked my shin on the center steel support frame that sticks out but is hidden by a dust ruffle. The common living rooms and kitchen were very comfy and pleasant.

Beautiful view

We love Sea Colony and this is a well maintained unit with granite countertops, comfortable beds and a great view. There was some confusion on check-in as they told us they sent a code, we didn't receive one, so we called and they again said they sent the code. After calling, we learned that we had to pick up a key at the Vacasa office. There was no dish soap, dead batteries in the remote, and several of the lightbulbs were out. Overall, beautiful place, great view and a wonderful stay.

Disappointing

We were looking forward to staying in this unit based on prior reviews but quickly realized that the prior reviews didn't tell the whole story. The unit needs to be upgraded. We've stayed in numerous units at Sea Colony for the past 5 years and this unit wasn't one of the better ones we've stayed in. The bedding provided by the owner was terrible. Ripped and stained blankets. The TVs in the bedrooms are extremely small and one of them didn't even work. A closet door fell off the hinge when I tried to open it and the drawer of one of the dressers was broken. We liked the location of the Island House and being so close to the beach and pool. With some work this could be a really nice unit but I would not stay in this unit again.

Disappointing, but oh, what a view!

The good. The ocean view is amazing. There are 4 chairs on the balcony and we spent a great deal of time there! The electronics and couch were good. The kitchen has lots of dishes, silverware and cups. The outside property is very well maintained. The bad. There were a number of issues with the condo. Primarily, it needs a deep cleaning and some upgrades. The kitchen cooking supplies were rough. The skillets were so bad, we went out and bought our own. The coffee maker did not work. I pulled pans and dishes out of the cabinets that were dirty. The mattresses are worn out, especially the two twin beds. They have divots in them. The dryer sounds like it is on its last legs. The condo is minimally supplied. Seriously, one thin roll of toilet paper? One garbage bag? 2 dishwasher cleaning packets? 1 tea towel? Thin bath towels? No bath mat? No beach equipment what so ever! Vacasa doesn’t specify how to contact them if there are problems with the unit. The primary bathroom’s sink didn’t have water pressure and the stopper wasn’t working. There is an email in the condo that we messaged. After a day with no response we used the Vacasa app. A very nice maintenance person was able to fix the water pressure, but not the stopper.

We want to let you know that the owner had a deep clean completed prior to the season, and we have recommended a mid-season cleaning to help maintain the home’s condition. We’ve also discussed the kitchen items with the owner, and a new coffee pot has been provided for your convenience. The amenity starter package is standard for all Vacasa properties, and while the home does not offer or advertise beach towels, chairs, or equipment, we arranged for extra towels to be dropped off since our housekeeping does not provide bathmats. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your understanding. We hope you’ll consider staying with us again so we can provide you with an even better experience.

Beach week August 2022

The ocean front view, furniture and decorations were all very nice. Although pots and pans should be thrown away, the house lacked casserole dishes and a blender. We bought a blender and left it at the unit. I gave Vacassa a chance to replace the pots and pans and they thanked me for helping them improve in the future. Not my idea of hospitality.

Great place!

Loved everything from top to bottom! Great ocean view to start your day. Plenty of space in the condo. Walkable to downtown and of course the beach is right there. Parking spot underneath was great too - easy to unload and pack up. Sea Colony had a great beach and lots of activities going on to boot!

We had two families staying in Sea Colony. This condo has a great balcony and view. The layout and living areas are excellent and very comfortable even when we had up to 11people of various ages there.
