This Wood Homestead was established in 1833 and is one of the original Homesteads on the Eastside of Indianapolis. The house is fully furnished with all the items like being at home. It has been recently updated and is a nice blend the old with the new. We are located one mile south of Historic Ft. Harrison and the State Park. Roughly 15 minutes from downtown Indianapolis. Plenty of parking and room for RV or Trailer. Lots of extras for the family to enjoy! Firepit, games and more! This house is a NON-SMOKING, vaping, cigar or any other substance in the home. However, there are plenty of areas outside to smoke. We also provide a complimentary bottle of wine for your pleasure for our multiple nite reservations.
Overflowing with charm and amenities. A delightfully cozy older home, and a welcoming and considerate host. My only regret in booking this property was only staying for one night.
We stayed here for a wedding in the city. It was quick and easy access to get where we needed to be, the house was as clean as a pin and was very well appointed! If ever in Indianapolis we will stay here for sure!
A clean and cozy house equipped with everything thatâs needed. Quiet neighborhood. Responsive owners. Easy to get downtown and to other Indy areas. Good choice!
Cute and clean farmhouse, everyone had their space. Close to the soccer fields we were playing at. Communication with the host was great, we enjoyed our stay.
beautiful home quiet and comfortable close to several good restaurants (strongly recommend arts skillets for breakfast) with easy access to the express way.
This is a wonderful house. It is clean and quaint and spacious enough for 4 people. Little things indicate the attention to detail -- like not only providing a Keurig and K-cups but also providing sugar/sweetener and creamer.
This historical property was perfect & welcoming. My mom & I stayed the night following surgery and it was more than we could have asked for. The property exceeds the description in every way. The beds are comfortable, the couch that makes into a bed is even comfy! The kitchen has everything we needed. The location was safe and close to all that Indy has to offer. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners - they care so much about the property & its history. It made the stay even more memorable. Weâd stay there again!!
There was plenty of room for the four of us we all loved the house. Itâs was great! Loved the kitchen so much room for cooking and just hanging out. Thank you so much
I was going to watch my daughter compete at the Indianapolis Fairgrounds and took my parents with me. This was perfect for what we needed for a weekend. There are so many things nearby and easy to get to. The house was clean and very charming. We had space for everyone and nice extras like a complimentary bottle of wine was offered. The beds were comfy and additional bedding was available if needed. I would 100% stay again. The only downside was just one bathroom on the main level
I searched for an older home and found this house to be better than I imagined. Nice size mudroom when entering! Large kitchen with everything you could need. Games, puzzles, books, movies all in an antique cabinet. I loved the arches and original woodwork. We added our story to the stories this old house could tell.
From the minute we walked in we knew we made a great choice! Was as clean of a house Iâve ever stayed at. This place has everything you would need for an excellent time in Indianapolis.
Location is certainly located for going to the casino or Lucas Oil Stadium.
Wood Homestead is a wonderful home away from home. It is impeccably clean and comfortable. The owners have done a fantastic job with renovations and updates, as well as maintaining the ample, well manicured outdoor space. The property is quiet and private despite, being located a short distance from a main roadway - which makes it easily accessible. We would absolutely stay again.
This property is just as noted in the add. Pictures are very representative. Owner is adjacent but beyond a hedge/ bush row.Except for rush hour it's easy access to Indianapolis. Assume 20-30 minutes at x way speed. The property is over 150 years old but well preserved. All up to date appointments include A/C.
This is a beautiful property. The house is adorable. Cathy let us check in early. The home and landscaping - beautiful! Would definitely stay again if in that area
This property is next door to our personal residence which is over 100 yards away. We love green space and this property has a nice backyard with a fire pit and many yard games to enjoy while you are visiting. The front porch is a great place to just hang out. My husband and I are Landscapers by profession.
