Dancing Horse Farm - Ski Lodge et Horse Farm à 3 miles de Windham Mountain

Ce chalet de ski de luxe est situé dans une ferme équestre en activité avec une vue à 360 degrés sur la montagne et à quelques minutes de la station de ski de Windham Mountain. Dancing Horse Farm est l'endroit idéal pour réunir de grandes familles pour les vacances ou pour réunir de grands groupes d'amis pour les festivals locaux de Catskill.

Le lodge est situé au bout d'une longue allée privée bordée de pruche. Une fois à l'intérieur, votre famille et vos amis trouveront de grands espaces pour être ensemble et de nombreuses chambres pour se retirer une fois la fête terminée. Le rez-de-chaussée a une grande cuisine, une salle à manger et une grande salle qui est parfaite pour recevoir de grands groupes. Le premier étage dispose d'un grand espace commun avec télévision, table de billard et jeu de fléchettes. Il y a un grand patio en pierre et une terrasse en bois avec des sièges et un barbecue à gaz pour accueillir de grandes fêtes en plein air. Il y a aussi un foyer avec des chaises confortables pour se réchauffer par une nuit fraîche.

Juste au-delà du lodge, vous pouvez descendre dans nos granges et rencontrer les chevaux qui vivent ici à Dancing Horse Farm. Les soins aux chevaux privés et l'enseignement de l'équitation sont une excellente alternative à la sortie sur les pistes.

Perfect for a large group

My group was blown away by this home! The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances, cookware, and servingware, and there were easily enough beds and space for our group of 17. The property is sprawling and beautiful, just as pictured or better. Communication with the host was the best I've ever experienced - he was so accommodating, helpful, and proactive (we never met in person). Hope to return someday!

Nice Property/Well Appointed

Large home with everything you’ll need. Plenty of towels, kitchen supplies, fridge space for a large party. Bedding was nice, with plenty of extra blankets. Greg was very easy to work with and answered all of our questions quickly. We would definitely book this property again.

Great long weekend

We had 4 families stay here over Presidents Day weekend. The house was great. The living area on the main floor is big and flows into a large kitchen - the kids took over the game room downstairs and stayed in the bunk rooms.It is a short ride to Windham Mountain and easy to drop off/pick up people at the mountain. There was plenty of firewood and the house had pretty much everything you need. Would recommend to any large group - and hope to be back next year to do it again.

An Amazing Weekend Getaway!

Our group of nearly 25 adults and children had a fantastic time! There was plenty of space for our entire group. We especially loved the large gathering areas both upstairs and downstairs. The bunk rooms were perfect for our kids to sleep! The home had wonderful little touches that you don’t always see in a rental - custom Beekman bath products and signature mugs and wine glasses with the dancing horse logo! We will absolutely be returning to this gem! Communication with Greg was also wonderful! A quick ride to Windham and Hunter make this a dream for a family friendly ski vacation.

Best Cabin Trip Thus Far!

We had an amazing stay - and Greg was absolutely phenomenal with communication - especially with providing information on plowing during a snow storm while we were there. The property was gorgeous and just a few minutes away from Wyndham Mountain. The property was very clean and huge for the great price. We were able to have a wellness retreat and the amenities were great!

Huge house close to Windham mountain.

This is a wonderful property for a multi family get away. There are a ton of bedrooms and the house is well stocked with needed amenities.Greg was great to deal with. He was very communicative with instructions for the house. We definitely would like to book this property again.

Great house !!

We went with 3 families (kids 4-14) and had the best time !! Great house for a group. We were 18 total. Awesome location. The kids loved playing in the snow and visiting with the cows! The grounds were really beautiful. The house had plenty of room. The bunk rooms were awesome for kids. Upstairs master has a tiny room a one single bed off of it, perfect for a toddler or baby. Two living rooms for multiple sports game watching. Short drive to the mountain and restaurants. We even brought food fromHome and grilled steaks one night. We had an awesome time !!

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had another fun stay at the Dancing Horse Farm! The house has been upgraded with a new stove and other amenities. Huge home, to house several large families. Very well maintained and clean. We also visited the near by town for coffee and a nice brisk walk. Overall great time and look forward to coming again!

Fall Getaway

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property and its owner, Greg. Communication from start to finish was seamless. We were a family of 14 adults and four children (6, 2, and 2 infants). The location is private, and the backdrop is nature at its finest. The stables were a big hit with the children, who would venture there several times each day to check on the horses and cows. The home layout is perfect for large groups as everyone has their own space without rooms being above anyone. We especially enjoyed the first floor with the pool table and other living room with a TV and a door to ensure the excitement of the sports from the guys did not disturb any sleeping babies upstairs. The decks are great for enjoying time outside for a bite or a cup of something to drink. There are numerous firepits on the property as well, which we made sure to enjoy. I would highly recommend visiting here if you are lucky enough.

Absolutely awesome!

The property is so so good for large groups. Compared to other large bnbs, this house feels so much more set up for big groups, with a full kitchen and plenty of space. Greg is an awesome host! I highly recommend this space 💕

Greg went the extra mile

We had a fantastic stay at Dancing Horse Farm, despite some wild weather, because Greg went the extra mile. The house is perfect for a large group. The Kitchen/Living Room area is large and open, so our group could be together in one place, even during a rainy day. The deck, patio, and game room gave us room to expand without feeling separated. And there were plenty of sleeping spots and bathrooms, so everyone was comfortable. Unfortunately, we lost power during our stay due to the effects of Hurricane Debby, and it didn't come back on for 24 hours (which was unusual for the area). It was particularly problematic because the property's water comes from a well with an electric pump. Our host, Greg, went above and beyond to make us comfortable. He'd already stocked the house with candles, flashlights, and spare batteries, and directed us toward them as soon as the power went out. Then he bought a generator, drove it up to the house, and spent most of his day Saturday installing it, connecting extension cords in the meantime so we could charge phones. He brought coolers and ice for our perishables and 5gal buckets so we could flush the toilets with water from the stream. Our group has rented a dozen plus properties for our annual weekend, and I can honestly say we've never had a host as attentive, generous, and upstanding as Greg. Now that the house has a backup generator, power outages won't be a concern, but our situation proved that Greg is a top notch host!

From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The house was impeccably clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The kitchen was well-stocked, making it easy to prepare meals for the whole family, and the open layout allowed us to spend quality time together, whether we were cooking, dining, or just relaxing in the living room. The bedrooms were cozy and provided everyone with a good night’s sleep, and the outdoor area was a perfect place for the kids to play while the adults enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. The location was also ideal, offering easy access to local attractions and beautiful scenery. Family Reunion

This was the perfect place for my family to convene for the weekend. There was plenty of space to converge when we wanted and separate when we wanted. The house is well stocked with everything we needed and the area is absolutely gorgeous.

Perfect location for family gathering

Dancing Horse Farm was a perfect location for our family reunion. While we had 35 people from ages 1-91, the house was full but never crowded; everyone loved the house and location and we'd all love to go back! The rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable, there are several different areas to hang out and talk, the kitchen is incredibly well stocked, and the grounds are lovely. Communication with the owner was always prompt and helpful and Greg was very patient with my numerous questions before we arrived. We all highly recommend this property!

Perfect Mountain Weekend

Greg's house was the perfect place for our weekend celebration in Windham. We arrived in the middle of a heatwave and Greg gave us a day-of heads up on the a/c operation, and even suggestions about which parts of the lawn would be best for setting up a tent for a bbq. Everyone loved walking around the property and saying hi to the animals. Every spot in the house was comfortable, and there were places for the quiet and the sociable alike. Everyone kept asking how we found such a great spot, and some family are already making plans to rent the Dancing Horse for future gatherings. The provided guide was super helpful as well.

Ski Weekend Getaway

We had a great time at Greg’s property. The house is huge and easily accommodated the 25 guests we had. It is very conveniently located for those that like to take advantage of skiing between Hunter and Windham mountains. Greg was extremely responsive and very easy to work with anytime we had questions arise. I would definitely recommend to others and will most certainly keep this place in mind for future trips! My family has always had a love for the mountains and horses. My parents first built the lodge in 1988 to come out to the country and experience the beautiful hiking throughout the catskill mountains in the summer and in the winter enjoy the world class skiing and snowboarding at Windham Mountain and Hunter Mountain. Our property was historically a dairy farm and later pheasant hunting grounds. After we built our home here in 1988 we renovated the historic barn on the property and created a first-rate private equestrian facility. Now open for all to experience, Dancing Horse Farm is a place for all people to enjoy what our family enjoyed for so many years; a beautiful ski lodge near Windham Mountain and a private horse farm.
