Eladio was very friendly and accommodating, and the house was super clean, comfortable, and cute. Cañas Dulces is a sweet little town, and the views of the volcanoes are beautiful. It is a great location for near access to Rincon de la Vieja National Park.

Our host. and family were wonderful to us throughout the two weeks. We went on five tours with him which immersed us in the Costarican culture. Hope to return again.

This is a true rustic Costa Rican cottage! If you truly want to immerse yourself in the Pura Vida local life this place is for you! Bring earplugs as the road traffic can be loud but the pool & property is beautiful & charming! Bird watching is top notch as well as iguana observing! But the true “cherry on top of the cake” are the hosts, Eladio & Vanessa! They are the kindest salt of the earth people! They truly made this Costa Rican experience golden for us!

Beautiful rustic paradise

Eladio's property was beautiful and overall a good experience. The natural surroundings and pool were truly paradise, especially being away from all the traffic in nearby Liberia. Eladio was very welcoming and kind.

Easy accees - great host

The location was easy access to LIR airport and quick drive to beaches and national parks. Great restaurant 7km away. Don Eladio was a fantastic host!

Eladio was an amazing host & guide

I brought my son on a Father son trip & Eladio & his wife treated us like family. Eladio knew just where to take us to see so many animals. We went to the rain forest & got to experience an exclusive hot spring. I would definitely recommend staying at Eladio & Vanessa's place!

Excellent wildlife and hiking tours

Eladio is a wonderful guide and host. He drives you in a landcruiser to the most off the beaten track to experience authentic Costa Rica areas. The roads are rough and long but well worth the views and experience with wildlife and waterfalls that no tourists get to see. The accommodation is rustic like an alpine hike hut and pool and grounds are nice. Highlights swimming in a waterfall, holding baby crocodile, and viewing endangered

Great experience.

The property was just as described. Eladio is a great host with even better excursions. The first day we seen howler monkeys, macaws, white face monkeys and plenty of crocodiles. The parrots play in the trees right outside of the house along with the iguanas.

Best vacation ever!

This is a spacious, private house with an amazing (basically private) pool. The host is wonderful - he will do anything to ensure you have a wonderful vacation. He took us on some amazing tours, got us some special foods to eat and treated us like family. We will go back!!

Beautiful Property!!

We had a wonderful stay at Eladio’s place. Eladio and his family are amazing hosts and Eladio was there for anything that we needed or asked.Overall the property is wonderful, lush, the pool is amazing and the iguanas are extremely entertaining. We loved this very homey abode and were very comfortable here!It would be an advantage to have a vehicle as you’re not close to amenities but Eladio will take you places and is an excellent tour guide.The beds could use a little update but the entire place and surroundings far more than made up for it!

Looking forward to returning to Eladio's Place.

Rustic accommodations for up to 6 people, maybe more. Very clean and well cared for. The property is beautiful with a nice pool and manicured ornamental gardens. Very secure and safe with the ideal location for exploring Guanacaste. Eladio and Vanessa were very caring and attentive to our needs.

Amazing

We spent our last 2 days out of our 7 day trip at eladios and the tour we took with Eladio ended up being our favorite part of the the trip. Eladio and his family are very welcoming and good vibes all around. The tour was an unforgettable very special experience. If you're looking for a tour away from the crowds and other tourists and you want to support the locals and taste authentic Costa Rican cuisine Eladios is the perfect place for you. Also the place was rustic, giant iguanas and beautiful birds and a very special spot. We can't wait to go back and see Eladio again.

A great rustic stay

Our stay at Eladio's Place was great! The rustic charm of the property gave it a cozy, authentic feel, while having all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. Our host had a driver pick us up at the airport. 75 for all four of us was reasonable. We were taken to a smaller house. We had rented the larger Paradise Linda. Eladio thought we would be ok there because no stairs. We said we would try and make it work. After the first night we thought it was to small and wanted the second bathroom. There was a man in the Paradise Linda the host had him move to the small house. After cleaning we moved. It was nice. Except the second bathroom was a shower outside with no shower head and a cloth for a curtain that wouldn't cover a body. Did have a usable toilet in a closet outside.The two excursions were not what we expected and over priced. Eladio does not have a vehicle that he can use for excursions. He borrowed or rented them. The second excursion my husband drove back because Eladio was not acting well. Bright spot was Eladios 16 year old son. We left 5 days early because we just couldn't do the excursion thing with him anymore. The pool was not clean until the 3rd day. It was nice for the one day we used it. Bird watching was the highlight at Paradise linda. If your looking for relaxation don't do tours. We started one 1 1/2 hours late on or second tour. Had to plead with him to get gas as we were in empty. Tour was not as it was promised.

If are looking for a true "tico" experience, Eladio, is a master host. He lives life to the fullest; the true essence of PURA VIDA! He will take you to exquisite places and restaurants tourists never go. Eladio is in top condition. It is helpful that you are too. Bring earplugs because truck noise echoes from Hwy 1. We had a massage. Hiked in the jungle, Went to a waterfall, thermal pool, and a Pacific sunset. Eladio just wants you to be happy.

Amazing experience from minute one

We chose Eladios Place based on reviews on his entire experience, from lodging, to distance from airport to amenities, like tours. Everything was exceptional and he welcomed us into his family from the minute we arrived. His tours bring you off the beaten path and you get to learn about the REAL Costa Rica....not some typical tourist resort where you have to do whatever cookie cutter tour they have available. His love of country and ecosystems shines through and we really enjoyed it. Exactly the experience we were looking for. Thank you Eladio's Place!

Eladio is a great host , and his love and knowledge of Costa Rica’s Eco System is Excellant. The 7 hour tour of the rain forest was fabulous. I’m in my seventies but in excellent health had no problem. But if out of shape I wouldn’t recommend it. His private beach excursions highly recommended. He also offers boat tours for wildlife.The grounds & pool certainly were a welcome sight. I stayed in the 2 floor house it’s rustic. There is also a one story cottage which is modern. Eladio is more than willing to transport you to restaurants or shopping, nothing in walking distance. Having a car would have been helpful but not necessary. Had a great time.

If you are looking to stay with amazing people from Costa Rica look no further. If you are looking for a chance to have authentic costa Rica food delivered to your house if desired look no further.
