Had one of the best vacations! Even had a hospital bed for my handicap daughter! The pool was a big hit for everyone! Tons of stuff available to keep the kids busy! Very much a great place!

Beautiful large estate with many option to keep little ones busy! Plenty of bedrooms that weren’t stacked next to each other but spread out in such a way that each family could have their own area to repose. From the very large indoor pool, fishing in the large pond to foosball and pool tables, the family had many memories made. Thank y’all for sharing your multi generational home!

What a wonderful getaway for a large family or retreat for a business group. It offers everything you could imagine I would suggest bring groceries. That way you never have to leave.

Wonderful retreat

Our family wanted for nothing at this home! Everything was clean and wonderfully kept! This home has so much to offer and the owner's was very accommodating and got back to our very needs very promptly! The kids had a blast as well as all the adults! I will be recommending this place for years to come!

Great fit for our large family vacation!

Our family spent Christmas here with 22 guests ranging from 5 years old to 81 years old. Plenty of room for us all. Plenty to do to keep us busy. Kids especially loved the pool. Very good communication with the host. We even received a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus! Great stay!

Wonderful getaway

The house was emaculate. Plenty of room. Great location. We plan on returning next year and extending our stay another night or two. Jay was a wonderful host, great communication, quick to answer any questions I had before and after our stay. Highly recommended for large family or company function.

The kitchen was very well stocked. From spices to knives to blenders. It had everything you would n.

The house was clean and very roomy. Plenty social space. Outside grilling area was clean and functional. Will most likely be back soon.

Great reunion place

We expected more people than the 10 that came and the house can surely accommodate more. Lots of surprises like spices, teas, fishing poles and bikes. Wifi spotty in places and only 1 tv which is amazing considering the size of the place.

Family Celebration of Life

Our extended family of six siblings stayed together in celebration of the life of our parents, who have both passed away. It was a wonderful time having each of our families stay together under one roof. James was the most helpful, communicative, and kind host. The property had something to do for everyone. We loved our time eating together on the long family dinner table and rocking out on the front porch, laughing and reminiscing. The kids enjoyed the game room and pool. The bedrooms were great spaces with ample room. All of our needs were met!

This was the 2nd year our group gathered at Jay's place. Our experience was even better than the first year. The place has everything you could want for a getaway but Jay added a few new amenities. Arrival and departure are easy. We plan on making this an annual event. On top of having a nice place, Jay is really easy to work with and an overall nice guy. Looking forward to next year

Splendid Stay!

Everything about the process was made so easy by James and his family. We had 27 people with us and never once felt like we didn't have room. The girls were able to swim, play pool, play ping pong, go fishing, play volleyball, play games in the front yard, etc. There is so much to do at the property the girls loved it. The space inside is phenomenal, but so is the outdoor space. With the covered patio and the grills to cook on, we all really enjoyed that. Everything about our trip was great and we would certainly recommend this location for anybody needing a lot of room and wanting some bonding time!

Thankful & Familial

We were blessed to be the very first family to stay at this incredible home located in an even more incredible setting. The house is huge and housed our extremely large family of local and visiting family during the Thanksgiving holiday. Jay, Barbara, Jerry and Sis were the most amazing and thoughtful hosts. They were ever present with help, information and assistance at a moments notice. If you are looking for a tranquil, remote yet close to town location to host your family for large gatherings this is the place for you! The grounds are immaculate and the house has absolutely everything you could want or need for a get away! We cannot wait for our ability to travel to see this incredible family and stay in their incredible home again in a year or two for our next family holiday!

Repeat Trip

For the second consecutive summer our extended family, consisting of 18 people ages 6 to 74, has stayed at this property. Throughouy our stay weve fished, swam in the indoor pool, relaxed in the hot tub, played arcade games, enjoyed a cup of coffee on the porch, cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the griddle, built puzzles, played card games, somehow set up a pickleball court (and tournament), shot pool, played foosball, played Kan Jam, and even had an ultimate frisbee match at Jays property. But most importantly, we all spent quality time together as a family. And for the 2nd year straight, our kids have called this their "Best Vacation Ever", better than any beach trip or mountain trip. We certainly hope to return here for future vacations. Thanks again Jay!

Family Summer Vacation

9 adults, 7 kids......We've thoroughly enjoyed staying at Double Acres. We've used the grill to slow cook a brisket one day, we've used the griddle for burgers and breakfasts. We fried fish that we caught in the lake. We swam in the indoor pool...some of the kids even ended up in the pond after the canoe got away from them. 🤦‍♂️ We shot pool continously, played some arcades, played lots of card games and built puzzles. We all enjoyed just hanging out on the porch throughout the day and spending time together. Jay has been easy to communicate with and very responsive. We may certainly return to this property.

Unbelievably perfect!!!

Double acres surpassed any expectations we could have dreamed of! Our team needed this time away together to bond and really start meshing together! I’ve been bringing teams to the coast for tournaments during spring break for years, but none compare to this experience. The house gave them so many activities to do together and ultimately define themselves as a team! Fortunately with our scheduling, they were able to stay up late (3:30 am) and sleep in as late as they wanted with late games the next day, and that’s exactly what they needed. They needed each other outside of their normal routine! We are so grateful for this house and what it offered to really help our team reach new levels! Thank you so much for everything! The host was absolutely top of the line when it came to communicating! Around the clock, he answered all questions so thoroughly to make sure that we had everything we could possibly need! We will be back next year and hopefullly years to come!

Located on 20 acres with over10,000 square feet of living space there are ample family gathering locations throughout the property. Family bonding is the primary goal. From swimming, fishing, billiards, arcade games, volleyball, basketball, a home gym, foose ball, and even ping pong "Double Acres" has it all.
