Everything about our stay in Langensoultzbach was wonderful. The village itself is beautiful, scenic and peaceful. The only things we could hear from the window were birdsongs and the river flowing by. Bas-Rhin is a lovely area, with wooded hills, valleys, and pretty villages. A rich history too - we visited chateaux, the Maginot Line, and spent time in Strasbourg and across the border in Baden Baden, Germany.
The gite was beautifully renovated, and luxurious, and we enjoyed eating meals outside, and relaxing in the quiet garden.
Best of all was the warm hospitality shown to us by the owners, Eric and Marina. They gave us a wonderful welcome, a trip to a local restaurant for Tarte Flambée, a personal tour around the village's Roman museum, and more.
We have many happy memories of our week in Langensoultzbach, and we would highly recommend this gite to anyone.
