We had a great stay. Tony was very communicative and everything was exactly as expected. He accommodated our small dog and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. This was our 1st time using VRBO and we were very happy.

Awesome getaway!

The property is immaculate and in a lovely neighborhood with a beach up the street with easy access. As you can see on the listing, the house is extremely well equipped. We especially loved the visiting swans and seagulls that would visit. Perfect for young children as the bay is much calmer. A short trip to LBI If you’re looking for the ocean and more activities. Tony provides a wonderful informative manual for the house. Looking forward to a fall rental! Thank you for a lovely comfortable home.

Perfect. Weekend. Getaway.

The house is beautiful... completely updated with modern everything and has everything you need. We watched the sunset over the bay the first night and woke up to a beautiful sunrise with a view of Barnegat Lighthouse across the bay. The town is cute, historic with a few small antique shops and restaurants and a great architectural salvage place. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck and the dock and there's a bay beach a half mile away with a little boardwalk where you can walk right into the water the kids has fun at. Easy 15 minute drive to Long Beach Island. Will be back!

property and owners was great. Perfect view. Nice and quiet. Only comment is could have been a little cleaner (hard to get to places like under the couches and beds). I know this is nit picky but since it's pet friendly our dogs find all that stuff. Great time overall though!

Renters be cautious

Unfortunately there are many reasons for my negative review. We are a family of 5 that was excited to spend a couple of days together before school started. First the good part. The house and property were beautiful , exactly as described. The owner Tony was available to answer any questions . Here’s the bad part.... The neighbors seem to be excessively sensitive to talking, laughing, music, or just enjoying your family time and they alert Tony and Tony will contact you. If you are outside and use the outside property after 10 pm, you will probably get phone calls and/or text messages from Tony. One of the reasons we chose this house was because of the crabbing. Our family loves fresh crab sauce so it was a thrill for us to catch our own. We felt harassed by Tony when he complained about us for crabbing at 11:30pm with multiple messages and texts telling us that we are disrespectful to the house and to the neighbors. We were not yelling; we were not disrespectful; we were just doing what we came to do and enjoy ourselves on vacation. The property cameras are listed in the contract “ to protect against break-ins when not being rented”, but we feel the cameras were intrusive and were probably used to watch and listen to our every move. We received texts and messages multiple times a day alerting us to something Tony saw. We think that is creepy and invasive. We are homeowners ourselves so we understand the need to respect our neighbors, but this rental should be listed with a 10pm curfew which it was not. This extreme level of oversight is not warranted in our opinion and put a damper on our stay.

This is a beautiful house in an upscale quiet neighborhood, clearly not the right house for this family. They jumped the fence TWICE trespassing on the neighbor's property, after I got a complaint from that neighbor I called them, they denied it and they said “ No no that was not us” then I showed them the footage from the neighbor’s camera then they said, “ Oh that's our son”. THEN they jumped the other fence to the other neighbor's property at 11:30 pm. They continued running around on the dock chasing crabs in the dark until 12:30 am, very stupid and dangerous behavior, and that was not enough, they were out on the deck drinking and smoking until 1:30 am and they left a lit cigarette unattended and it burned a hole in my brand new Azek deck. This is all well documented with VRBO customer service. The cameras are pointed at the front entrance/ driveway and the water/ back fence, it's there to protect the property from any illegal activity including trespassing. It's not there to monitor anybody, if you are not jumping fences or burning the deck you have nothing to worry about. It says it in the property description before you even continue to the rental agreement “This is not a party house, it's designed for a small family to enjoy it peacefully. Parties, outside guests, and disruptive behavior to the neighborhood including loud noise are strictly forbidden.”. They were very disrespectful of our property and our neighbor's privacy. Needless to say, they caused a lot of damage to the house and left all dirty dishes in the kitchen and we kept the full security deposit to cover some of the damages.

Relaxing and comfortable

Our family of four and our small dogs were very comfortable in this bay front home. The view was relaxing, and it was a great place to unwind. Tony checked in with us while we were there, and he responded quickly to any questions we had. There were enough things to do while staying at the bay, and the drive to LBI was also reasonable. Relaxing family vacation by water.

This house is right by the water and provides a relaxing ocean view. House is well maintained, very clean and modern with high techs. My family with 2 dogs felt welcome to the house and enjoyed kayak, bicycle, firepit and drinking coffee on the deck while listening to music and enjoying the water view . Owner, Tony, provides clear & easy check-in and check-out instructions, replies to text messages promptly and makes sure guests are enjoying the house. Thank you Tony!!!

Enjoyable stay and would return again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is pretty (just like the photos), the location is nice and the views were wonderful. The best parts were the fully stocked kitchen (nearly every cooking tool imaginable) and the very helpful and responsive owner. Minor note - we agree with the previous reviewer that the hard to reach spaces (under the couches and bed) could be cleaner. But, overall a great choice.

Tony was a great host and always responsive. The house is small but well updated and perfect for a weekend getaway. It’s away from the craziness of LBI but close enough if you’d like to go. And the view cannot be beat!

Wonderful Property

Tony’s property was the perfect stay for a girls trip. It was right on the water, has an indoor and outdoor fireplace, and has multiple bikes available for use! He checked in via text periodically to make sure our stay was comfortable. This place is best suited for quiet groups. Also, if you are planning to leave the house frequently I’d rent a car! I unfortunately did not do that and had quite a hard time getting Uber, Lyft, and Taxis. No complaints on this property, it was perfect!
