This was a nice place to stay, convenient to where my son lives on the NE side of campus but quiet at night. I will stay here again when visiting my son!
The listing represents the house accurately. It was our first time to Bloomington and I appreciated that the house was clean and relatively close to IU. I had one issue with entry, and the host got back to me in minutes.
Loved the yard and landscaping! Enjoyed the eclectic charm on the inside! Great shower lots of water pressure and hot water. Great neighborhood but a real privacy feel to the property. Loved it and will be back in December!
The proximity to IU was amazing so if you want to stay close, this is your place. I never got an email for check in or check out. The wifi did not work. Bathroom left a lot to be desired but living room and bedrooms were clean and neat. Communication with owner and manager was responsive but then they accused me of being rude and condescending via email and I did not appreciate that at all. Early check in in my book is not 3:50 for a 4 pm check in when the house was empty. Customer is always right but I guess they just dont think so!
The house met our needs for comfort, space, supplies, and amenities. The location was very convenient. A few corrections would allow a 5-star rating instead of a 4.We had trouble getting the door code to get in. Vrbo and the property manager each said the other would provide the info. I had to call the manager several times, and no one explained how to use the keypad on the door. Exterior stairs need to be lit at night for safety; the turn in the steps is hazardous. Extra blankets would have been appreciated.Overall, the place was very clean. Exceptions were the cookware and the kitchen drawer liners. Instructions for a few things would have been helpful: coffee maker, thermostat, fireplace, location of garbage disposal switch, dishwasher. We didn't try to use the fireplace and figured out everything else; instructions would have been convenient though. We would probably choose this place again.
It was clean. The beds were comfortable. We were in Bloomington visiting our daughter and infant grandson for Christmas. The only real complaint that we had was that the outlets have not been updated. The majority did were not 3 pronged, so you needed an adapter to plug in computers. The adapter for the microwave was a little loose, so you had to wiggle it to find just the right spot for the microwave to work sometimes. However, this was minor. Our overall stay was great.
Everything was great, clean, well-supplied.
We stayed here for business so we were not in the house very much only to eat and sleep in the evening. The accommodations were perfect. Good communication by the owner.
We really enjoyed our stay. Matthew was a great host and we had everything we needed from coal in the grill to fully stocked kitchen. The location is very nice too: a very safe neighborhood close to great hiking destinations. The only thing I'd recommend for Matthew is to add some light source in the back yard to make it more enjoyable to stay there after dark.
