Casa Oceano has a beachfront infinity pool â where you can have a tropical fruit smoothy or your favorite cocktail with your family and friends. Or, you can indulge your private thoughts while watching the sun sparkle off the breaking surf. Isnât this what life is about? Be prepared to slow down and be at one with your surroundings. This is more than a vacation; it is an experience in rejuvenation!
There is a shaded oceanfront patio and sun deck with comfortable lounge chairs. Inside is a large Mediterranean couch overlooking the Pacific, and toward the gourmet kitchen, an oceanfront dining area. The gourmet kitchen is appointed to meet the needs of our chef, so if you personally prefer to use your own culinary skills, you will find everything you need.
Accommodations
The principal master suite is accessible by a staircase accented with terracotta-colored ventilation blocks. The king-size bed is in the center and leads to a deck outside overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the infinity pool. The back patio of the master suite overlooks the garden and jungle. The Jacuzzi tub overlooks the beach and ocean, and the oceanfront patio is direct to the left.
The principal master suite was designed with complete openness and flow-through ventilation to enjoy the tropical ambiance, therefore making air conditioning unnecessary, but it is provided. From the oceanfront balcony, read and relax overlooking the azure ocean and tropical foliage, and watch the howler monkeys pass by in the palm and Almendro trees. You might even get an early wake-up call occasionally from them, but theyâre worth it!
The Guest Master Suite has basically the same amenities as the Main Master Suite including an oceanfront balcony but doesnât have the back, garden facing patio. Take advantage of the flow-through sea breeze ventilation, or if you prefer, air conditioning is available. The Jacuzzi-style whirlpool tub has views to the beach and ocean. At night, enjoy premium channel satellite television while unwinding from the day.
The Guest Master Suite overlooks the sun deck patio and the beach on the west side of the villa and has a king-size bed. For those who must stay in touch during their stay at Casa Oceano, but didnât bring their iPad or laptop, a computer station is part of the Guest Master Suite. Or, you can access the internet on your own device using the villa WiFi system throughout the villa.
Two bedrooms upstairs: Immediately to the right of the main entrance is a separate and private entrance to two additional upstairs guest bedrooms on the west side of the villa through a vaulted ceiling stairway. Both have air conditioning, ceiling fans, and television.
These two additional guest bedrooms each have cantilevered balconies, one has a whirlpool tub, flow-through ventilation and both have to air-condition. Enjoy the 180 degree, panoramic views of the blue Pacific, the sun deck and pool below, while sitting comfortably on your private, beachfront balcony.
Two downstairs bedrooms: The ocean side downstairs bedroom has direct access to the oceanfront patio overlooking the infinity pool. The rear garden setting bedroom has two queen beds. Both downstairs bedrooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans, and television.
Activities
Youâll have plenty to keep you occupied around the villa and in the Tango Mar Resort. Boogie boards are supplied to adventurous guests that want to play in the surf, there are tide pools to explore, swim in the warm ocean, take hikes to a nearby waterfall, horseback riding by the surf, monkeys and wildlife watching, and cultural experiences.
Additionally, there are nearby tours which our concierge can arrange for you. Birthday or anniversary? Let us help you arrange your special event with entertainment, etc. How about a bonfire on the beach?

Guest Access:
Casa Oceano has a permanent staff of four, which are present to care for the villa at all times, as being right on the water, maintenance is paramount.
We had an architect stay there and he said he could not determine the age of the house because it was kept up so well!
The staff of four includes an English / Spanish speaking concierge, Hansel, which is available at all times, but comes by several times a day to make sure the guests are happy, acts as a translator, presents tours, and will stay there during daylight and evening hours, how much or how little hours with which the guests feel comfortable. Service is 7 days a week from the staff when guests are there. The maid also will do personal laundry. The grounds man, Henry, takes care of the pool, gardens and is there to move lounge chairs to the beach, etc.. Our chefs, Silvia and / or Helen, have been with us for nine years! We have rave reviews about their dishes, which include a sampling of Costa Rican fare as well as international flavors. They respect all diet requests for kidsâ menu, food allergies, vegetarian, vegan, lactose intolerance, etc..
Also, Casa Oceano is located in the guarded Tango Mar Beach Resort and guests can use the facilities at regular pricesâŠthe beachside restaurant and snack bar, the golf course, tennis courts, etc..

There is also a tour to the Curu Private Biological Park â a pretty extensive walk through nature ending on the beach.
OTHER INFO:
If clients would like full time, chauffeured ground transportation, that can be arranged so they can do your own exploring. The price would be approximately $250 per day with an English speaking driver with gas included, depending on the capacity of the comfortable, air conditioned van.
Onsite concierge, can answer any more specific questions. They might want to know what fish are running, type of boats, the minimum age for canopy rides, the price to rent a 4x4 which could be delivered to the villa, or arrange a combination tour.

Normal check in is 3 PM. Exceptions can be made if there is no prior group leaving.
However, guests arriving early can leave their luggage in Casa Oceano, like for instance when we pick them up from the Tambor, TMU, airport early. After leaving their luggage in Casa Oceano, they could hang out at the "El Rancho", about 60 steps down the beach, and have something to eat and drink, and enjoy the waves breaking on the beach until Casa Oceano is ready. Check out time is 10 AM, but that could be extended if no other group is arriving that day.
