This place was awesome, can't wait to go back!
This property was clean, safe and perfect for our stay! They were easy to communicate with and made our stay super easy!
We hope to have you back with us soon Emily!
We are in Chicago for four weeks, five of those nights were spent here - in the penthouse. Of the three places we stayed, this was our third favorite. The best things about it are the location and the pretty light filled breakfast area. The building itself is run down. We checked in on a Sunday and had no linens for the sleeper sofa (the sofa is not the one pictured, by the way. The cushions on the sofa are actually the mattress) and more importantly we had no parking permits (which are critical in this area of Chicago). We called, emailed, called the emergency number. No response until Monday. We had to go exploring in the basement looking for bed linens for the sofa. The basement is where the one washer and dryer are (shared by a few units in the building). The basement is awful. It really looks like an episode of hoarders down there. You have to bend over double to get in it (there is a low beam that is maybe 5 feet of clearance - my son and I both cracked our heads hard on it the first time ) and once you’re in you want to get out as fast as possible. My kids started calling it the dungeon. Anyway, the place needs a lot of upkeep (broken chair, broken shower head in master, cracked tiles in master, dirty water in the master) and management could improve their responsiveness. I’d use it as a place to crash if you only need a place to sleep in a good area.
My husband and I enjoyed the ease of check in and location of this property!
Our adult children and spouses liked being able to spend time together in one location.
The layout of apartment and comforts of home were great!
The Perfect Place for a Chicago Stay
I can't say enough about how wonderful this apartment is. It is a couple of blocks away from the Sedgwick L station, so we were able to go most places we wanted to on the L. Treasure Island is very close, and Marianos is only a short walk away, so getting groceries was very easy. There is also a great pub nearby, the Twin Anchors. The apartment itself is very bright and airy, and I loved looking out the kitchen window at the clocktower of St Michael's Church. The bedrooms are smallish, but adequate. One has an ensuite shower, and there is a bathroom with a wonderful Jacuzzi tub next to the other bedroom. The kitchen was very well equipped. We didn't have a car and relied on public transport and Uber, but my son who stayed with us for 2 nights had his car and had no difficulty finding a nearby parking spot each night. Parking stickers are provided. The management were very responsive to my questions. Just a heads up, the advertised rate is for 2 people, and it is $25 a day for extra people. This is clearly stated in the breakdown of the bill, but did take me by surprise. I still think the price is reasonable, and I would definitely stay here again
