Ocean Beach Retreat is a unique gem, one of the few true beachfront properties in Raglan. Simply stroll across the lawn and the beautiful expanse of Wainamu beach awaits you. You can enjoy picturesque strolls to Raglan Township at low tide or Nganurui and the surf.
Uninterrupted views of the ocean and Raglan bar await you as you unwind in this stunning modern property.

The living space is a modern open plan layout with kitchen and dining. The large living room has a gas fire to cosy up on a cooler evening. The central heating throughout the property means never a cold night here. The large dining space has plenty seating for you whole group. The highlight though has to be the stunning modern kitchen. Everything has been thought of in this space with stone benchtops, large fridge, oven, large kitchen island to gather around and butlers pantry with a second sink. Making cooking up a feast a breeze.

The master bedroom has a super king bed, walk in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom with shower. The second bedroom has a king bed and the third bedroom has both a queen and single bed allowing the property to accommodate up to 7 guests. These bedrooms have use of the second main bathroom also with a shower.
A separate laundry room makes up the indoor facilities.

Outdoor this property just keeps getting better. The large deck wraps around the front and sides of the property providing a huge area for outdoor living. There is an outdoor fireplace with wood provided, large comfortable sofa, another huge outdoor dining table, BBQ, outdoor shower to rinse off the sand after exploring the beach and best of all your own private spa pool to soak in while you enjoy the view. This property is truly something special.

All Groundswell Properties include: Linen, towels, toiletries (shampoo, body wash, soap), tea, coffee, milk, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher powder, laundry powder, gas for BBQ.

You will have access to the entire house - all bedrooms, bathroom, living room, kitchen and outdoor areas.

Raglan has something for everyone. And this home is ideally located to explore the local area.

The vibrant café and arts scene in Raglan township is just a short drive away. There’s a wealth of delicious dining options to choose from, along with specialist arts and crafts shops to explore. Also within easy reach are the supermarket and shopping facilities.

Experienced Surfers will love the big waves at world-famous Manu Bay. And Ngarunui Beach is a favorite for families that enjoy the more mellow West coast wave action.

Nearby Cox Bay (8-minute walk) and Lorenzen Bay (10-minute walk) are great spots for swimming, kayaking and body boarding or just relaxing in the sunshine. You may even get lucky and spot one of the orcas that regularly come to visit the bays.

For those wanting a change from all that sea and sand, there are many excellent walking tracks and we include details of these in the house information folder. Within easy reach are the Mt Karioi summit tracks or Te Toto Gorge track.

For slightly further afield adventures, a short drive will take you to the surf beach, point breaks, mountain bike tracks and walking tracks.

Boutique art galleries and specialist craft shops abound in the township. And with golf, mini-putt, fishing and the spectacular sunset harbour cruise, there really is something for everyone in wonderful Raglan.

Do as much or as little as you want – the choice is yours. Raglan is a fantastic holiday destination any time of year.

This house has a 3pm check in time. If the house is ready earlier, we will happily message you and let you know on the day.

Please note that swimming is not recommended on the beach directly in front of the property due to strong currents.

The property has direct access to Wainamu beach without fencing so responsibility of children solely lies with accompanying adult/s.

Please note that the outdoor fireplace is currently out of order.

All linen, towels and basic amenities (soap, shampoo, toilet paper, tea, coffee, sugar, carton of milk) are included in your nightly rate.

Guest stays longer than 5 nights will be provided with additional bathroom linen for use during your stay.

For reservations longer than 10 days, on request, additional bed linen can be provided for you to change at your convenience. Our team will collect any dirty linen at a mutually agreed time.

All reservations include an end of stay cleaning fee. Sufficient cleaning products and equipment will be available at the property for use during your stay should you need it. We do not offer mid-stay cleaning services unless this has been pre-arranged at the time of booking and we have capacity in our cleaning schedule to book this in. All additional cleaning services including mid-stay bed making will incur additional costs.

Please note there is a motion sensored security camera at the entrance door. These devices are for the security of the property, but if there is reason to suspect misconduct from guests, the footage and data can be reviewed.

No more than the number of guests booked, to a maximum of 7. Additional charges will apply if you exceed the number booked.

Ocean Beach Retreat is located in a residential area - A noise curfew is in place between 10pm and 9am for the consideration of neighbouring properties.

Strictly no smoking indoors. If you smoke outdoors, please do so responsibly and remove butts from the property on departure.

We have a zero tolerance for unauthorised parties or events and you will be asked to vacate the property if there is reason for us to suspect guest misconduct.

A BBQ is available for use during your stay. Please clean with the appropriate supplied cleaner after use. We reserve the right to charge for additional cleaning if the BBQ is found dirty.

Rubbish - an allowance has been made for 1x full blue outdoor rubbish bag. Additional rubbish must be taken with you or dropped at a local refuse disposal station (details in house info folder) or an additional charge of $25 per bag will be applied for disposal.

Recycling - an allowance for 1x full recycling bin has been made per stay. Additional recycling must be taken with you (details in house info folder).

Electric Vehicle Charging - We are unable to accommodate electrical vehicle charging at the property. There is a fast charging station location beside the town hall on Bow Street.

For any personal belonging/s that are left at the property, there is a $20 (regardless of size) minimum return fee + courier bag/packaging. This is to cover staff travel and time to the post office + administering the return charge.
