A little rough around the edges, it’s fully stocked for a simple, memorable coastal escape. Enjoy your morning coffee on the sea-breeze deck and make lasting memories!



The Space

This is the quintessential Aussie coastal shack experience: unpretentious, comfortable, and focused entirely on the sun and sea. Unit 16 is your private corner in the White Sand Estate complex, offering simple, laid-back living that encourages sand between the toes and long, lazy afternoons. It's a sweet little unit, older, definitely cute, and absolutely ready for your family holiday.



Living & Dining The open-plan living and dining area is bright and relaxed. It features comfortable seating for the whole family and a dining table for four, perfect for board games or enjoying the morning light. The best spot is the small desk area with a chair, placed perfectly to catch the refreshing sea breeze and a glimpse of the ocean. Heating is provided via a reverse-cycle air conditioner (heat/cool) for Tasmania's unpredictable weather.

Immediate Area (5-15 min): The Bicheno Blowhole is a must-see (3 minutes drive). Don't miss the Whalers Lookout track for stunning coastal views. Our favorite spot for fresh fish and chips is Freycinet Marine Farm (20 minutes south).



Regional Highlights (30-60 min): You're perfectly situated for the East Coast's big hitters! The Wineglass Bay lookout trail car park in Freycinet National Park is just a 35-minute drive (30km) south. Head north to explore the famous Bay of Fires region—the drive to St Helens/Binalong Bay is about 1 hour 15 minutes. The locals swear by grabbing fresh bakery goods at the Bicheno Bakery before heading out!



Getting Around

A car is essential for fully enjoying the Tasmanian East Coast, particularly for accessing national parks and regional food experiences.

Parking: You have one complimentary, dedicated car space right by the unit.

Airports: The property is approximately a 2-hour drive (170km) from Hobart Airport (HBA) and about a 2-hour 15-minute drive (155km) from Launceston Airport (LST).

Public Transit: Public transport is extremely limited in this region, and rideshare services like Uber are not reliably available. Bring your own wheels, or hire a car at the airport to truly experience Tasmania!

This is an authentic beach unit with an older, much-loved structure. You might notice a few charming quirks, like creaky floorboards, but that's all part of the classic shack experience! We've made sure the comfort levels are high, with reliable heating and quality linens. The complex is family-oriented, so you may experience the lovely sound of kids enjoying the pool during the daytime.



Tasmania's weather can offer four seasons in one day, but the reverse-cycle A/C has you covered for both heating and cooling.
