Lovely home in a really nice, safe and quiet neighborhood. Very clean, well appointed with everything you could need for a home away from home. The host was very responsive and was willing to accommodate a few last minute changes. They even had snacks and water for our arrival. Cute little downtown area with a great coffee shop and a few restaurants. Very nice community in general. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

Davis Island vacation

This is a very charming and clean home in a quiet neighborhood. We spent a week here while visiting our son. This home is in walking distance to the little village with a variety of restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

We’ve stayed in VRBO’s for over 15 years and this home has to be the cleanest we have found! The fact that it is located on Davis Islands, is within walking distance to the waterfront and restaurants makes it even better! While McMansions are springing up everywhere on the Island this is a tastefully remodeled original cottage with a private backyard and an enclosed front patio. Everything we needed was included, even a tea kettle! We spent 2 weeks exploring the Island and its businesses. We didn’t have a bad meal but Spartaco’s Kitchen was our favorite. Check in was easy and the owners responded quickly to questions. All n all a perfect 2 weeks!

Business Trip - Tampa

Attending a conference in Tampa, we were looking for accommodation on Davis Island for two people. The house was spotlessly clean, comfortable and inviting with modern and well-appointed amenities. Its proximity to a cafes and restaurants made it a perfect choice.

Bright and cheerful

Home was very clean and bright with lots of natural light. Very nice quiet neighborhood. Hosts were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Home had all the things you needed for comfortable stay.

Wonderful!

We rented this sweet little home for my elderly parents for the last month as they have been displaced by their home being flooded. We wanted to have them near us and this was a block away. The owners were so kind and answered and addressed anything we asked. It was perfect, bright and cheery. We would rent it again in a heartbeat! In fact, if it wasn't already booked we would have stayed longer! Thank you again!

Perfect!

This is the first part of a two part review. We originally booked for two weeks and then extended another two weeks which created a separate booking. This property was wonderful and the owners fantastic. They had a sweet welcome basket ready for my parents when they arrived. Home was clean, bright and cheerful and exactly what we were looking for! Highly recommend.

Cute Davis Islands location

DI is a kind of retreat in the heart of Tampa. You're centrally located to everything urban, but you're also on this safe little island community.Being aware of what kind of hit Davis Islands took during the hurricanes of 2024, the house is in remarkable shape.My wife and I were there will our 16-year old son. The house was a comfortable space for the 3 of us. We especially appreciated both a front patio and back patio allowed outdoor options depending on the sun.Our hosts the Guzmans stocked the place with treats and drinks that also were very appreciated! Definitely would stay there again!

My husband and I traveled to Tampa so we could watch MLB spring training games and this home was in the perfect location between the ball parks in Lakeland and Fort Myers. The house is in a quiet and well kept neighborhood and was only a 10 minute walk to the Davis Island Village where there are several restaurants and bars. It is also very close to the Tampa cruise port and we were able to watch the cruise ships sail out of port on Sunday afternoon while we sat in the park that was across from the airport on the island. We also enjoyed walking through the neighborhood in the evening. This home is one of the quaint smaller homes nestled in among the large new modern homes, but it had everything we needed for our week long stay. The inside is very bright, clean, and comfortable with newer appliances and furniture. The kitchen had plenty of dinnerware, pots & pans, and utensils for cooking. It also has a nice Keurig coffee pot/single serve combo machine. There is a nice backyard with a no-step patio, tables and chairs, and nice grass. One afternoon we pulled the table and chairs to the shade and played a few games of Yahtzee. The front of the house also has table and chairs on a paved patio that is also a nice spot to enjoy lunch or dinner. The bed was very comfortable and there is ample closet and drawer space for a week or longer stay. The washer and dryer were full size.We loved our stay and would recommend this home to anyone looking to stay in the Tampa area!

This Davis Island house was perfect for my needs. On a beautiful street that made for a nice walk to the hospital every morning. It had everything you needed coffee pot, salt, pepper, nice pots, and pans, even Tupperware so I can pack my lunch. Everything quality and clean. The hosts were very quick to respond and flexible with my needs making a very hard time a little easier.

A little piece of paradise

A beautiful house on fabulous David Island. It was very comfortable and welcoming with all the amenities. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it. Just a quick ride to downtown Tampa and close to cafes on Davis Island. Beautiful area to take a walk or bicycle.

Perfect vacation home, better location

We very much enjoyed our time at this Davis Island property. It is the perfect getaway spot. Perfect walking distance to the little village for coffee in the morning & the neighborhood is quiet and adorable. Edgar and his wife are the sweetest hosts & are extremely responsive if you need anything at all. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in the area!!

Great stay!

We stayed here to be close to Tampa General Hospital and it was perfect. 5 minutes to get to our appointments and we loved the restaurants and other amenities of the Village Square that was 2 minutes away.

Perfectly Charming

This wonderful home met our needs in every way. The hosts could not have been kinder or more communicative, right down to the lovely welcome basket, flower bouquet and complementary waters. We were surprised and pleased that all needed supplies were plentiful, including dish, hand and laundry soap and paper products. Most short-term rentals only leave a few squares of toilet paper and you’re on your own for the rest. These are clearly generous and seasoned hosts who are meticulous about providing a super clean, very welcoming home stay.
