Excellent, accessible, booking right near downtown
Our time away at Stratford for a couple shows was amazing, thanks to this great location. Less than a 20 minute walk (along the water!) to the Festival theatre, and even closer to Avon and others. We were just outside of downtown to have a good nights sleep, but close enough to easily walk downtown for some shopping and meals. The room is well equipped, the breakfast croissants were delicious, and best of all it was all quite accessible for my wife. Plenty of room to roll around in her wheelchair, small ramps in, and a roll in shower. Communication from the host was excellent, they were ready to assist with a couple small requests and they were proactive the rest of the stay. We are hoping to be able to stay here again in the future.
We loved our stay at Inn on the Avon. It is exactly as described online and even better in real life! The room is spacious, filled with light, and well-appointed, with cool touches (my Italian husband enjoyed a book on Friuli cooking). The bed is super comfortable with a lovely modern bathroom and shower, and the location is ideal. A river trail just outside winds along the beautiful Avon, and we were walking distance to all the theatres (especially the Tom Patterson) and the delights of downtown Stratford. Our hosts were welcoming and communication was prompt and always helpful. The only challenging moment for us, two fit and able seniors with poor eyesight, was the keypads on the locks - they are a bit hard to read :-) But that was a minor detail in a perfect stay. We highly recommend this treasure, and hope to return soon.
I'm originally from Stratford and my husband is from Mississauga, and together we've found a true home in this vibrant, welcoming community. We love being active, exploring local restaurants and theatre, and hosting gives us the joy of sharing these experiences with others.
We live in the heart of beautiful Stratford, right on the Avon River, surrounded by peaceful parks and just a short stroll from the vibrant downtown. What we enjoy most is the perfect mix of natural beauty and cultural charm, and we love sharing it with our guests.
Our property stands out as a beautifully renovated 18th-century home that blends historic charm with modern comforts. Nestled along the Avon River, it offers a peaceful setting just a short walk from downtown Stratford and the theatres. The unique combination of timeless architecture and thoughtful updates creates a warm and memorable
