This warm and inviting guest home is a short walking distance to Lake Wanaka. There is a light-filled, open-plan living, kitchen and dining space (with wood burner) and a second massive lounge room if you need a quiet escape. All five bedrooms feature ensuites, adjustable heating and a digitized door lock. A mere 350m (approx) walk down the road will have you dipping your toes into Lake Wanaka and enjoying the lakeside trail.

The Little Extras

We provide all the essentials to make your stay seamless, including initial supplies of toiletries, kitchen basics, and more. Please note that these are starter supplies, and you may need to replenish them during your stay.

You will have access to the entire home.

I respect the privacy of my guests but remain readily available to address any enquiries. Occasionally, I may stop by simply to ensure that everyone is enjoying their stay.
OUR STRICT RULES:

No loud noise outside after 10:00 pm:
As we are situated in a residential area, we kindly request that you refrain from creating any disruptive noise after 10:00 pm. Our neighbours have been informed to notify us of any excessive noise disturbances. If you anticipate difficulty adhering to this rule, we kindly ask that you reconsider booking with us.

Minimum age requirement:
Guests must be 25 years or older to book this property. The primary guest must be staying for the duration of the reservation and may be asked to provide ID for verification.

No parties without prior approval:
Any gatherings or events require prior approval, and unauthorised parties will result in the immediate cancellation of your reservation with no refund. Please note there may be an additional fee for hosting extra guests if approved.

Checkout is at 10:00 am:
We kindly request that you check out by 10:00 am on the day of departure. If you require a late checkout, please submit your request at least 24 hours in advance. Late checkouts are subject to availability.

No smoking inside the property:
Smoking—including the use of any recreational drugs—is strictly prohibited inside the premises.

Leave the property in a reasonable state:
We expect the property to be left in a reasonable and tidy condition upon departure. Any additional cleaning required beyond standard procedures will be charged at $60 per hour. Please promptly report any damages, spills, or stains during your stay. If necessary, you may be held responsible for replacement or professional cleaning costs.

Board games:
We love that guests enjoy our games, but please ensure all games are returned to their original boxes before departure. As reassembling games is a time-consuming task, a $60 charge will apply if the cleaner needs to complete this.

BBQ cleaning:
The BBQ and utensils must be cleaned after each use by the guest. Failure to do so will result in a $100 cleaning charge.

We enjoyed this large house in a great location. Things that were awesome: huge rooms, all bedrooms have ensuite which allows for privacy with many couples travelling together, an enormous laundry with two washing machines and loads of space for skiing gear to dry, lovely fireplace and plenty of firewood, spacious kitchen. There were plenty of toilet rolls, lots of laundry detergent and kitchen amenities/appliances (although there was only one black garbage bag in the bin and no replacement). For the most part heating was good, though one of the heated towel rails was not working. Plenty of parking space for our two large-ish vehicles. It is a beautiful and easy walk to town. Overall, this was a great option for our accommodation in Wanaka.

Airbnb supplies are generally intended as a starting point, but we’ll certainly take that on board. If it was the rubbish bags that led to the 4-star rating, we completely understand — though if there was anything else we could improve, we’d love to hear. Guest feedback and reviews are so important in helping our property stand out.
