Magens Bay - dining - POOL - Incredible views

Inside the gated community of Peterborg is your next vacation home on St. Thomas. Three bedrooms sit on the main level, with a private apartment suite below for extra space or quiet. You are less than a 5 minute drive from the world famous Magens Bay, a 3/4 mile long, pristine beach that will be you favorite spot to soak in the sun. Hungry? There are several excellent restaurants within a 10 minutes drive. Pool, beach, dining...it’s all here. All that’s missing is you.

This villa was featured on HGTV Caribbean Life Season 19/Episode 12! The villa sits high on the peninsula and is less than 2 miles from famous Magens beach. You will find three bedrooms on the main floor along with two bathrooms, the kitchen, and living space. You can access the apartment below via a set of stairs off of the pool deck. In the apartment is the fourth bedroom, a private bathroom, and a second kitchen and living area. Head back up to the top deck in the evening to watch storybook sunsets and see the other side of the island light up against the night sky.

Please note: The driveway leading up to the property is quite steep so having an AWD vehicle will help you feel more comfortable.

This is the second time we’ve here, and once again, we had a great vacation.

Check-in was easy, the house was very clean, and we had everything we needed. The house, the views, the pool, the location - everything about Cheez Moo is perfect, and we would love to go back to St. Thomas and stay here again.

Great family vacation

Beautiful views, location is fantastic, with Magens bay probably the nicest beach in St Thomas 5mins away. House is well equipped, probably would add a dishwasher is the only thing. Great spot for a family vacation.

Really nice spot

Our family stay was very nice, this is a luxurious spot, secluded and near the best beach on the island. Really nice rental for most people. Put all food and snacks in fridge to avoid ants and bugs. This place is a little dangerous for little kids but we survived. Likely better for older kids and adults.

Couldn’t have had a better time

This was by far my favorite trip back to St Thomas, the house was so much more than described. Couldn’t have asked for anything else and the check in process was a breeze. Had met someone to take us to the house so we wouldn’t get lost, I love this home! Can’t wait to come back again

The house has a cottage like feel, we were very at home there. The pool was great. The location from the breach was fantastic. Just a short 5 minute drive. AH mall area had great shops and we found most of our meals there.

Fabulous 2 Weeks in St Thomas

We had fantastic stay at Chez Moo in St. Thomas. Gorgeous views with spectacular sunsets. Great access to Magen's Bay. We combined cooking in with also some great meals out. Was able to arrange for a private chef for a couple meals and also had Spa-to-Go come and provide massage and facial services at the house. Responsive hosts who were quick to respond any questions or concerns we raised.

Didn’t disappoint at all. 5 stars

I came to Cheez Moo with a group of close friends. We had an absolutely great time. The house was perfect for us. The pool was the perfect place for sunsets. Post sunset we would grill and then listen to music on the deck, and watch the amazing yachts coming in the bay. Priceless trip.

AMAZING VIEWS!

This property is completely breathtaking. The views are to die for and the location is the perfect getaway. The house was spacious enough for me and my six friends and it was perfect for our friendcation. There are many outside lounging areas that allow you take in the view and the hosts provided TONS of information that were able to utilize. Hands down the best villa experience EVER!! If this place is available for your stay- BOOK IT!

Would stay here again

We stayed here as a family of five, three kids under 12. The views are insane. The house layout was awesome. The pool area was so cool. We loved it! Communication with the prop management was excellent and very accommodating. We would still here again. Only draw back is the pool area is slippery when wet. If you are looking to really get a way, relax with majestic views, then this is the place.

Beautiful Views

Everything was great. The driveway is quite steep and a bit intimidating at first especially in a run down Avis rental van but we made up and down every time! We had plenty of space, completely enjoyed the views from the house and the pool. The location was nice and the host response / communication was quick and clear.

Exact Island Vibes we we’re going for

The place is perfect for your stay on the island! The house and view are really something. It is in the middle of (kind of) no where- I would suggest renting a car or if you meet a taxi driver that knows where it is to lock him down and use him for your whole stay. I’d say about 20 min to Red Hook / town / airport etc so it’s really not bad and totally worth it. If I return to STT i’d come back. Peterborg is a beautiful neighborhood.

Heaven in the Bay

I'm a Real Estate agent by trade for the last 24 yrs. Please trust when I tell you how amazing this property and location is! I traveled with my two children there for a week in July. The home is completely remodeled in the quietest and prettiest section on the island- no thru traffic or tourists. I always felt completely safe. The infinity pool overlooking the bay is just breathtaking - morning , noon and night. The property manager was close by and accessible if we needed anything. I have nothing but the highest words of praise!

Excellent space

Great location in Peterborg gated community. Private and quiet. Excellent views of Megans Bay and beach. Be warned very steep driveway , took two tries to lauch our group of 6 in a mimivan up the ramp. However we did make it, actually treated it like a ride at an amusement park after the first trip up. The space has a great pool with high and wide views of the bay. Two gas grills to use for cooking. Basically 5 minutes to Megans beach every thing else is 20 minutes travel time with a car. This was our second group trip to the island.

Amazing House

Chez Moo was fantastic. We stayed there with our four kids ages 10-13 and had an amazing time. The pool was fantastic for night swimming and had a great view of Megan's Bay (as did the rest of the house). The house was clean and comfortable for our large group and stocked with everything we needed. The location was removed enough from the "downtown" areas to feel relaxing and quiet but close enough to get everywhere we needed to go (everything other than Megan's Bay is a 25 minute drive). You definitely need a car if you want to stay here though. Keith, Savannah, and team were responsive and helpful answering questions both leading up to the trip and while we were there. There were lots of steep steps (which got very slippery when it rained) which may be hard with little kids, but it was perfect for us.

30th Birthday In Paradise

I celebrated my 30th birthday here with some friends and it was exactly what we needed. Waking up to these views from the deck patio was my favorite part. The infinity pool and pool deck also have amazing views! Proximity to Magen's beach, which in my opinion is the one of the best on the island, was also very ideal. The house is set pretty far back down an unpaved road with an extremely steep driveway so I would recommend an SUV. There were also some electrical issues, but this is pretty consistent with any older homes on the island. Would recommend if your a fan of the beach and outdoor space! Savannah was very helpful in promptly answering my many questions - thank you!

Glorious Views

The Chez moo had it all. From incredible owners/property managers to views like none other. There was a breathtaking view from every angle. The house was spotless and very functional. The master bed was incredibly soft and the water pressure was really strong. Those are two things you usually don't find when you're away from home. I would highly recommend staying at the Chez Moo. The elevator was a plus too! We hired Mikey as our personal chef. The property manager coordinated with him so that all of our provisions were stocked and ready to go when we got there. Don't miss a chance to stay here! You won't be dissapointed.

Wedding trip for friends of 30 years!

Chez Moo is in an absolutely stunning location. You cannot beat the breathtaking view from the windows, the decks or the fabulous pool. We conquered the driveway and were grateful for the lift to take the luggage and groceries up to the main floor. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the property since we had lots of wedding activities to attend, but it was very comfortable when we were there. Everything in bathrooms and kitchens worked well, water pressure was lovely, living areas were clean and spacious. The property host, Savannah, was super helpful and responsive. I would absolutely stay again and recommend Chez Moo to anybody making a trip to St. Thomas. One very picky item would be to update the sheets and pillows. As a vacation home owner myself, I know this can get costly, but a crisp white sheet and a comfy pillow is always a cherry on top of a great place! Thank you!!

Gorgeous view of the bay, scenic and serene

My family of 8 stayed for 5 nights in April at this property and we enjoyed every minute of it. Comfortably able to sleep 4 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 kids under 8, the property boasts gorgeous views of Magens Bay on two levels of living. Each level has its own entrance and cannot be accessed within. The furnishings and appliances are well-kept, beach/pool towels are conveniently available, and there are multiple grills for outdoor cooking. I would caution parents of younger kids to cast a watchful eye. The property is built on a steep grade,, the terraces are enclosed with wire railings and the pool is 5ft deep on the shallow end. Despite these concerns, I would not hesitate to book this property again and would highly recommend it to others.

VIEWS!!!!!

Area and views are amazing…. I don’t know how you could get much better! Host and check in process spot on! Had everything you could possibly need with a family! Thank you for providing beach towels and chairs…. Huge bonus! We had a wonderful first stay at your beautiful property in St. Thomas. If I had a complaint it would be two small things, lighting outside could be a little better. The solar lights were perfect, but more than half were out, so it was a little difficult seeing walking around once it gets dark and half of the string lights were out at the pool. Also for what you pay for the cleaning fee I would get a new crew…. It was very neat and tidy, but clean not too much! Again overall, wonderful visit and beautiful place with outstanding views of the bay!

Amazing! BOOK THE HOUSE!

We loved everything about this trip! My husband and I decided to bring some friends with us on our honeymoon. This was the perfect set up for that! My husband and I stayed downstairs and all of our friends stayed upstairs in the main house. We each had our own balcony so my husband and I could enjoy our morning coffee on the couch just the two of us before joining the others. The pool was on the upper level and it was nothing but amazing. It was clean, and the view was breathtaking. Cathy was the absolute sweetest! She was always so quick to respond to our questions! The elevator was so helpful so we didn’t have to carry our luggage up the stairs! We loved St.Thomas and can’t wait to go back and bring our kids! Everytime somebody mentions it being a beautiful place, I tell them to go and rent THIS HOUSE!

Misleading features and numerous issues

I spent weeks looking for the perfect house for my sister's 50th Birthday getaway. We grew up in St. Croix and wanted us a few friends to spend time in St. Thomas and ST. Johns. I purposely choose this house for the view of Magen's Bay, the elevator since one of our friends has a hard time using stairs and the generator since I am well aware of power outrages in the Islands. Well, I was greeted by Nico and told the elevator doesn't work. (Would have been great if I was given a heads up before since it hasn't been working for sometime now) Ok, so we helped her upstairs. Then we were explained how to use the generator since it doesn't automatically shut off it the electricity comes back on. Ok, lets hope that doesn't happen. We begin cooking and found dirty dishes in the oven! I removed them and searched for the advertised newly design kitchen with dishwasher listed...NO DISHWASHER! No wonder the previous guest must have gotten tired of handwashing everything they used. I washed the dirty so we can use it, Now bedtime. The birthday girl pulls down her comforter to find long black hair in her bed! She has light hair. After carful examination we discover the sheet were dirty! Pull them off and throw them into the washing machine. Of course there isn't any extra sheets. As I was finally going to bed the door knob falls off. Needless to say, the next morning I contact Nico with this cleanliness issues and door knob. He apologizes and said he would take it up with Cathy the property manager. I didn't want any of this to continue disrupting our EXPENSIVE stay. We return late from St. John's to no power the next night. The generator was on but it shut itself off after an 1hr. We went downstairs and did what Nico said and it sparked so I called him. Since it was late, I'm sure he didn't want to come so we continued and finally got it back on. The next night, it poured and there was a swam of termites all over the doors and windows! They were coming in from under the door frames so we put on all the lights outside so we could have some light inside with them focusing on really getting in. (By the way, I have photos/video of the termites, dirty sheets/dishes) IF I WANTED TO DEAL WITH ALL OF THESE NUMEROUS ISSUES, I COULD HAVE STAYED HOME AND NOT SPENT A SMALL FORTUNE TO DEAL WITH SOMEONE ELSES PROBLEMS! Oh, almost forgot, the master bathroom sink was clogged. After numerous emails they want to JUST give me a 20% discount on my next stay! Bad business!
