Newly remodeled 3 bd apartment steps from the Mickelson Trail in the Black Hills
This home has been recently remodeled to reflect the character of the Black Hills, simple and laid back. Access the Mickelson Trail by crossing the small creek in the back yard. Enjoy all that the Black Hills have to offer during the day then return to this quiet little space at night. We are located 10 minutes from Crazy Horse, 20 minutes from Mt Rushmore And 10 minutes from many trailheads. Custer State Park is also close by. There is bed space for 6 adults. There is room in the living room for an air mattress. We also have plenty of outdoor space for setting up tents.
The fact that it had 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with room to move, comfortable beds, the walking trail nearby, and close to the attractions such as Mt Rushmore, Custer Park, and Crazy Horse, comfortable seating in the living room and dining room, the nice kitchen with a full size refrigerator, and with thoughtful extras like the Keurig and full coffee size maker to make a full pot of coffee if desired, the deer food with deer in the backyard in the evenings to enjoy, the tv, even a dvd selection (even though we ended up not using those)- made it a very enjoyable stay.
The host was prompt with replies. The place was clean and comfortable. A very nice retreat, vacation spot.
The " new remodel" and decor is interesting and quirky, but the location and views make up for the decorating choices.
Right on the Mikelson Bike Trail, a mile from town and close to all there is to see and do in the Black Hills.
Dan was also very accommodating. He let us wash our bug splattered, filthy car, had bottled water for us and the kitchen is large and had just about everything we needed to prepare meals at the house.
The house was clean, and spacious. The back yard was awesome, they had corn for us to feed the deer each day. There is a trail right in the back to walk or bike on. Great stay!
We were very happy to have stayed here. The house was clean and everything worked as expected. Large yard out back with walking trail right there. Only minutes from downtown Customer, with a very cool breakfast place right at the top of the road. Thanks!
Beautiful scenery and wildlife in a quiet and rustic setting, yet close to town and Black Hills attractions for easy convience. Hosts were prompt in replys to our questions. I would stay here again.
The trailer house is very shabbily finished. Water wouldnât completely drain from the bathroom sinks. The kitchen had salt and pepper and garage sale utensils. It was nicely located with Mickelson Trail directly behind it. Wildlife wandered and played in the backyard. The back deck was very relaxing if you could sneak out to enjoy with family without the owner coming over and staying. He lives in the back of the trailer.
Great place to stay! Acreage with Deer, and other wildlife on a quiet well maintained dirt road. Very peaceful, with BBQ, fire-pit, etc. Bring your lawn games as the grass is amazing! Dan will provide the football!
