Rustic Farmhouse - enjoy rural living in metropolitan Perth.

Stay on a working hobby farm and experience rural living, while enjoying the convenience of being in metro Perth. Longer stays are preferred, hence the generous discounts for stays of more than a week.

With 3 bedrooms and a study (can be used as a 4th bedroom) our farmhouse is perfect for families who wish to visit Perth and surrounds and retreat away from the suburban hustle at the end of the day.

It is far from the Ritz, so if you're looking for high end luxury and glamour, this is NOT the place for you.. but if you enjoy plenty of space, nature and don't mind animals (there are chooks, sheep, a cat, a dog, a pony and an alpaca live on the property - and it's likely that several will come to visit you at the house) then this could be what you're looking for.

Medium country kitchen is well stocked with everything you'd need to self-cater, large dining area with a beautiful 8 seater tabe for family meals enjoyed altogether.

Two living areas / lounge rooms.. one upstairs and one downstairs - downstairs is cooler in summer. Both have comfy couches and can easily seat 6 or more. Downstairs has a medium sized TV (which we only use for movies we stream from our laptop ) or with the xbox 360 console.
There is a well stocked games cupboard and a bookcase full of interesting reads.

Outside the backyard is a children's paradise.. HUGE amount of space to play in, a cubby house, small climbing frame, fireman's pole, monkey bars, commercial swing set and a big netted trampoline (parental supervision of children required on play equipment at all times, so you can keep them safe)

Please note:
* The property is an older style farmhouse. It is partly renovated, so some things are very modern (both bathrooms are renovated) and some things are older (80's or 90's floor tiles and melamine benchtops for example!)..but everything is clean, tidy and comfortable.
* 2nd bedroom with double bed does not have a door.. it is ordinarily a child's room, but if you're two couple staying this might be a concern for you.
* The air conditioning is not currently working, I haven't used it for over 2yrs and don't find it a problem.. we close curtains/blinds in the heat of the day and open doors to allow air circulation in the afternoons/evenings.
* Farm animals - we hand raised some lambs last year (in the house wearing nappies and bottle fed) and so those lambs still sometimes come to visit the house. They are friendly and like pats.. however, this also means that there will sometimes be sheep poop on the back courtyard or verandahs.
* Caretaker - I have a friend who lives temporarily in her campervan at the back of my property (property is 20acres, so she is well away from the house) so that she can look after the animals while we are away.. she's lovely and able to help out if you have any queries or issues - but won't be in your way.
