Rejuvenate on the Kapiti coast- just 40 minutes from Wellington- in the peaceful seaside village of Paekākāriki . Relax to the sound of the sea in this family-friendly, furnished beach cottage, an easy 1 minute stroll from Paekākāriki beach.
The house consists of a master bedroom with queen sized bed, second bedroom with 2 single beds, and a full bathroom. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen with open dining and lounge area, and a heat pump/AC.
Large sunny yard with free off-street parking.
The space
Enjoy this haven away- perfect for couples and families- in the peaceful and artsy seaside village of Paekākāriki.

This house, being over 100 years old, is one of the oldest in Paekākāriki. Glimpses of its history can be seen in the well-loved hardwood floors, Rimu panel walls, and classic beach bach style. It was recently restored and renovated with a fresh kitchen, updated rooms, and clean coat of paint making it cosy and comfortable, while maintaining its historic charm.

A 100 metre (1 minute) stroll leads to Paekākāriki beach, a long and beautiful sandy beach great for swimming and admiring picture perfect Kapiti Island.

From the village centre you can start the Escarpment hiking track which takes you all the way to Pukerua Bay. Village centre hospitality includes a dairy for grocery essentials, pub, deli, bakery, fantastic cafes, and an art gallery. Find scenic hikes and biking trails nearby.

Our cosy beach cottage is wonderful for a weekend or working getaway, with an easy train commute via the Kapiti Metlink train service and Paekākāriki train station. It also makes for a perfect stopover for the Wellington ferry.

The train (with fantastic views!) takes you to Wellington in about 40 minutes and to Paraparaumu in about 10 minutes.
