Tranquil Retreat @ the SEED Lodge: A Rural Retreat and Gathering Space

The SEED lodge is a peaceful retreat centre set outside the small town of Rocklyn, only 2 hours north of Toronto. Here you can unplug & recharge, rest & reconnect, with yourself and others. The air is fresh, the country is quiet, the beds are comfortable & the skies are star-filled.

We host individual travellers (at various times), run our own wellness retreats & offer the space to private groups (up to 20 comfortably) who want to gather. The Seed Lodge sits on 56 acres of farm and forest to explore, near Blue Mountain, Beaver Valley, Georgian Bay and the Bruce Trail.

The Specifics:
The lodge is ideal for friends wanting to gather, for families & for people wanting to run their own retreats. The SEED Lodge offers accommodation for 16 guests; 8 bedrooms with two twin beds each and shared bathrooms (5 sinks, 4 showers and 4 individual toilets). Linens, towels and blankets are provided for all guests.

***For larger groups there is a queen sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with bath available at an extra charge, as well as two additional twin beds to sleep up to 20. Please note that this is not included in the standard lodge rental and is an additional charge.

The Space:
The lodge is a large 3000 square foot building that used to be a school dormitory. There is a fully stocked kitchen in the centre designed for large groups. There are 2 induction/convection ranges, 2 refrigerators & freezer, 2 microwaves, dishwasher, & BBQ. All dishes, cookwares and serve ware is provided and we encourage people to not bring disposable plates etc.. The central island comfortably seats 10 and is usually the gathering hub. The main space is a large room with 30 foots ceiling and a mezzanine up top with bean bags, a couch and tv, where you can chill or do some yoga when you need to.

What we offer:
We host individual travellers (on specific dates), as well as groups (up to 20 comfortably) of friends and family. Throughout the year we also run workshops and courses focused on physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. We invite you to run your wellness retreat here. We are also happy to provide catering and wellness and art programs during your stay (just ask!).

What to do here:
This is the place to gather and make memories with the people you love, or a place to meet new people. Bring your bikes, skis, or go for a walk or snowshoe in the forest. Sit around the campfire and tell stories, or stay inside and curl up with your favourite book or board game. Explore the beautiful Grey Highlands, everything is within a 15 minute drive; ski hills, the beach, great food, Bruce Trail, Thornbury, Owen Sound, the list goes on…

Solo Travellers:
The lodge is also open to individual travellers during specific times in the year. We offer artist residencies, writers retreats, and meditation/breathwork and silent retreats. Please inquire about these, we would love to host you.

Got a group but need some help with figuring out what to do?
We would love to help you organize your weekend or week away. We have trained yoga teachers, breathwork specialists, artists, musicians and all sorts of interesting people to help you create a memorable time away, while also learning something new. Please reach out for more details.

Rules:
The SEED Lodge is a place to come and chill with your friends. We do not host parties and there is a sound curfew of 10pm to respect the neighbours. There can be no more than the said amount of guests at the property at a given time.

Special Events:
Yes, we do host weddings, bridal showers, and bachelorette parties. Please reach out for a detailed quote. Our max amount of guests permitted including staff is 60.
