Property is very beautiful. Older cottage and very clean. The bedroom did not have AC when it was very warm and Linda was on it immediately!...AC installed next day. This is a nice stay for a couple that wants to really relax and enjoy downtime. Lake right across the small road was picturesque.
Beautiful and comfortable lake home on the western shores of Isle La Motte. The house is a 2 minute walk to Fisk Farm and the Fisk quarry site of the Chazy reef formation (Ordovician), and 10-15â walk to southern trails that start near Turner farm and traverse Ordovician to Cambrian strata. Well-equipped kitchen was a pleasure in which to cook and host visiting friends and family. Back yard extends to meadow fields and had raspberry and thimbleberry patches plus apples, as well as an outdoor grill. The location is 20â from the Canadian border crossing in Alburgh for day trips to the eastern townships of Quebec, or to venture further south to the other islands in Lake Champlain. Available kayaks and bikes allow further exploration by land or lake, including the Goodsell ridge preserve and other vistas along the western shores. Would gladly visit again -
