Best dog-friendly accommodation ever!

Junko & Frank have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable, fun, relaxing, safe, and luxurious. The dogs and humans all had the best time during our stay in the Wagon. We'll definitely be back!

Best place to beat summer heat

Absolutely excellent! Nothing better than having the opportunity for both us and the dogs to cool off in the peak of Perth summer, without having to worry about sharing space. Our anxious girl came out of her shell and showed us how much of a water-baby she really is: pool, spa, creek, dam - wherever there was water, she was in it! Both doggo's loved the walks, the swims, the soaks, and sleeping in air-con; and we loved the sushi :) Thanks Junko and Frank for making these wonderful facilities available, guaranteed we'll be back.

Amazing, pet friendly retreat

We returned for our second holiday (3 nights) at Mount Olive in October with our dogs & bird, this time booked both the studio & wagon. We had an amazing time (humans, dogs & our bird)!!! Such a calm environment, close to the city but feels like it's a world away. Our doggos loved the pool & didn't want to get out. Great place for relaxing and exploring(lots of trails). The studio has an enclosed area which is great for the dogs to to roam & sniff in. The wagon is amazing it is close to the pool, with fully enclosed verandah where you can sit & enjoy the views/sunset. We loved the spa & so did our doggos. Thank you Junko for creating this lovely space!!!. Will definitely come back again!

The Wagon exceeded our expectations. Such a unique property, lovingly renovated and very dog friendly. Beautiful location, we went in early October and the creek was running so the kids and our dog could rock hop and paddle. Pool was cold of course but that didn't stop the kids going in, then they thawed out in the spa and later by the fire. We'll definitely be going back.

Beautiful place, every detail of the place seems to have been made with care and it made the stay nice and relaxing. The kids had fun exploring non stop and saw kangaroos, they enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Nothing but privacy and freedom on this huge property. Loved it! Will book again. Perfect for the family and dog.

Perfect getaway

Beautifully set on a rural property, Junko and Frank provide 2 wonderful places to stay and they have made sure that all furry visitors are well taken care of and provided for. My dog can be a bit dog selective/reactive to ones he doesn't know and gets a little nervous, but having space between the two buildings means we barely saw the other guests, which helped put my mind at ease. I've stayed at both the wagon as well as the studio and both offer wonderful experiences. I'll definitely be back and very thankful to the hosts.

Wonderful staycation with our boys

The wagon was a fantastic and quirky little spot. We had such a fantastic time with our 2 standard Poodles, they were so excited to run around the property, sniffing everything and we were not worried at all! Junko was also extremely attentive and easy to communicate with. Will definitely be coming to stay again!!

Fun for all!

Thank you for another wonderful stay (being our second stay), we had a great time spent by the pool, enjoying the private trails and relaxing on the deck with the dogs. It is our favourite staycation that our dogs also get to enjoy as much as us. We look forward to visiting again soon!!

Human and dog paradise

The wagon was amazing. Beautifully set up, very clean and organised. Comfy feeling throughout the property. Our pups enjoyed themselves immensely with all the freedom they had to run around. Jacuzzi was amazing at sunset with the complimentary wine. we had a great time

Chilling in the hills

What a beautiful place to stay...to do nothing except relax. We enjoyed a blissful long weekend in this amazing renovated train carriage. Relaxing in the jacuzzi or in the hammock. You can walk in the beautiful surroundings or just sit & take in the stunning views. This will become a regular place that we've added to our annual getaways 🥰

Peaceful & rejuvenating

My husband and I stayed at Wagon-Lit for 2 nights with our lovely rescue greyhound. The converted train carriage was perfect! It has been beautifully fitted out and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed a short bush walk around the area and really made use of the spa bath - the perfect way to relax! We particularly appreciated that the accommodation was pet friendly and didn’t have restrictions on our furbaby. We look forward to coming again.

Super relaxed bush experience

We absolutely loved our stay at Wagon Lit. The location is great in the middle of nature. Plenty of wildlife around. Our pooch Anook was super excited at every walk we went. Inside the wagon we found everything we needed, including a really good toaster and kettle and good knives in the kitchen. Good internet is provided and we were able to watch different streaming services on the tv. Hubby loved using the grill outside, we cooked every meal there. The perfect wind down after a day exploring was the hot tub outside overlooking the bush. A nice surprise was the bottle of wine and beers. And some basics in the kitchen. Junko and Frank really made us feel at home. We hope to visit again

Staycation in the Hills

I stayed here with my mother and two of her friends who are in their late sixties, for her 70th Birthday getaway. We stayed for two nights. I also brought along my 14 year old little furbaby, which is the main reason I chose this accommodation. They are the most dog friendly place I've ever been to. It made the experience so much more enjoyable and relaxing knowing she could be with me every moment of our stay including sleeping beside me as she does at home. The Carriage has great character and is well equipped, which is good because I cooked every morning and evening. The views of the National park are beautiful. The spa and pool are both close by and great spaces. I didnt get to see the tennis court. The stone path walking up to the carriage from the car parking is steep but doable. Having said that, anybody with walking difficulties or low fitness levels will struggle if you have to make several trips to the car.

Wagon lit bush retreat 1st stay

This will be our 2nd visit, the first time we stayed in the {Mount Olive Studio} which was tranquil & we enjoyed playing( spot the possum) which we managed to photograph, on a few occasions, the dogs loved the large enclosed bush area, perfect for exploring! The only thing that didn’t suit us is the staircase to the loft bedroom, as my older dog who’s nearly 9, refused to walk up, them, but if your dogs fully mobile, there shouldn’t be a problem , our younger pup was fine! This time we decided to try the {Wagon Lit Bush Retreat} & it suited our dog FAMILY, much better! Being all one level, my older dog was more comfortable & secure! We also love the pool, for swimming & our dogs enjoy fetching & retrieving items, the pool is very close to the wagon, which is more convenient for us! It was a pleasure to relax in the evening with the dogs in the hot tub, we’ve found our perfect holiday home & intend on returning as often as we can! Nothing was too much of a problem, if we needed extra towels, linen or toilet paper, Junko would tend to it immediately, nothing seemed like too much trouble & for that we are grateful & felt truly welcomed along with our dogs!
