Mahaanui Cottage est un cottage de campagne privé et entièrement meublé situé dans la belle ville de Tiniroto, à mi-chemin entre Gisborne et Wairoa (environ 50 minutes de route dans les deux sens).

Avec tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour un séjour agréable, le chalet est idéal pour les amis et les familles à la recherche d'un séjour de détente à la campagne. Ou expérience de ferme active.

Avec 3 chambres spacieuses, il peut accueillir confortablement jusqu'à 8 personnes. Et si nécessaire, un canapé-lit double et un lit simple supplémentaire peuvent être ajoutés dans l'un des salons - pour accueillir 3 personnes supplémentaires. De plus, il y a beaucoup de place pour les tentes dans le jardin du cottage!

La cuisine est bien équipée et contient des aliments de base tels que farine, sucre, huile de cuisson, épices, thé et café, mais vous devrez apporter tous vos autres aliments.

Nous vous encourageons à marcher pendant votre séjour sur les 614 hectares de terres agricoles ou à vous aventurer dans la pittoresque rivière Hangaroa ou le parc de Doneraille, situés à quelques minutes à peine.

Alors, que ce soit pour marcher, nager, faire du kayak, pêcher, pique-niquer, faire du vélo ou simplement vous détendre avec un livre! Nous vous invitons à prendre le temps de nous rejoindre et de profiter du paysage pittoresque, d'explorer la ferme et de découvrir notre mode de vie à la campagne.

Beautiful house in a beautiful rural setting, so peaceful, we were sorry it was only one night. Outdoor shower is a must. Sally and Simon were superb hosts, super helpful and friendly. Sally's homemade treat was very much appreciated and we had a lovely walk around the farm, meeting the lovely dogs. Would highly recommend staying at this piece of paradise.

This was the first time we have stayed in a place like this, usually it is camp grounds or motels, and we had a wonderful time. If you want to spend time on a farm away from any technology and town life then this is the place to come. Our children loved being out with the animals and walking through the paddocks, I got the rest and relaxation I had been searching for for so long, and my husband was able to step away from work. The hosts were amazing! Kind, caring, and so very helpful with everything! The cottage is gorgeous! You wake up to a stunning view of the surrounding hills and hearing tuis’ singing and sheep in the paddock, and you can end the day curled up in front of the fire with a book or a board game. We will be back to stay again, and it will be for a lot longer than just a weekend.

Hidden gem

Tucked away in the hills is this lil gem - perfect for getting away from it all. We enjoyed the farm walks & spending time by the river, dogs had an absolute blast & tons of space to stretch their legs. We met the pigs & said hi to the horses & donkey plus meeting wee Fig (the dog) was a pleasure as he joined us on a wee walk. Thank you for having us

Great place, amazing hosts & relaxed holiday!

Wish we had a few more days to stay - We had an awesome Christmas break with family and friends and the farm stay ( first time) at Sally’s was a perfect spot to unwind! Kids had a great time with the puppies ! Thank you Sally for letting us stay at yours, very welcoming & a comfortable stay! Your gluten free brownies were such a hit!!

Peaceful and cosy

We had a lovely stay at this property. The cottage was cosy with 2 wood burners, plenty of games to play, a stereo, a well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. There are plenty of walks in the area, and the owner's dog at the nearby property was very friendly and joined us for one of them! Thank you

Great spot out of Gisborne

While this is a bit out of Gisborne, I'm not sure you need to head into town with all the great natural attractions nearby. Beautiful countryside with good swimming spots.

A great time had by all

We stayed here in January with 7 adults, 4 children and 3 dogs. We all loved our time at Mahaanui, from feeding the pigs and the sheep shearing demo to the walking tracks through the farm, and from the welcome brownies to the suggested local activities described in the property info. I highly recommend Mahaanui, especially if you have dogs. Our three had the best time as the property is fully fenced and they had a lot of freedom.

Lovely escape!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Lovely setting with plenty to do or easy to relax and do nothing at all. Simon and sally are very kind and hospitable - we arrived to fresh cut flowers and lovely baking and Simon took us all to see the animals - a real highlight for the kids.

Great cottage in middle of nowhere!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cottage is well-appointed and has everything you need. Welcomed with fresh pikelets and jam, yum! Plus friendly welcoming hosts and a roaring fire. Lovely to come back to the cottage each evening and relax in the peace and quiet with the fire on. Thanks!

Outstanding hosts with peaceful accomadtion

One of my best farm stays so far, peaceful accommodation with nature surrounding. I booked there for my birthday and it was just perfect, away from the crowd with stunning views. The hosts sally and Simon were very welcoming and really nice people, plus sally made a cake for me which was very kind of her. Definitely we all boys will be back soon. Highly recommend to everyone.

Wonderful Farm Stay

We recently stayed at the Country Cottage with our daughter's family. It was an excellent location for a relaxed time with family. Simon ,Sally and their family were wonderful hosts. The grandchildren especially (adults as well) enjoyed the farm animals, sheep shearing and farm tour.

Perfect escape

The cottage exceeded my expectations and was the perfect place to escape for a few days. I appreciated all the information on the local area as well as the housekeeping requirements before departure. There was a lovely slice left for us to enjoy too. The peace and tranquility was exactly what I needed and I look forward to escaping again next year.

Beautiful & quiet location. Absolutely the most welcoming & cordial hosts.

The cottage was completely equipped - kitchen, living room, bedrooms & baths. The hosts were very inviting & helpful in directing us to local attractions & swimming areas. Definitely would stay there again.

It was Mint!

Beautiful settings with a beautiful house. Owner was so very welcoming and kind. Would love to stay here for longer and explore the area in its entirety. The section was well fenced and the grounds well cared. Our 3 dogs, the kennel/run area could do with little weed eating just because of the thistles. Otherwise spectacular. Thank you

This cottage and beautiful environment has served our family with lots of wonderful memories!

Sally and Simon hosted our family with care and made us feel at home. Cottage is set out perfectly for everyone. We had our little kids with us who enjoyed feeding and talking to the animals. we embraced the scenery with wonderful food and conversations in-door and out-door. they had everything there for us to really enjoy our holiday. Beautiful farm stay. The cottage has all modern conveniences including dishwasher and wifi.

We were greeted with fresh scones with jam and cream when we arrived, there was also fresh flowers in each room. The cottage and gardens were absolutely lovely. We loved sitting on the deck overlooking the garden for our meals. Sally, Simon and their family were great hosts and went out of their way to show us about farm life and introduce our kids to all the animals. Awesome people, awesome place, awesome stay.

The kitchen is well equipped and has basic food provisions such as flour, sugar, cooking oil, spices, tea and coffee but you will have to bring all your other food with you.We encourage you to go walking over the 614 hectares of farmland during your stay, or venture over to the scenic Hangaroa River or Doneraille Park – both only minutes away.So whether it be to walk, swim, kayak, fish, picnic, cycle or just relax with a book! We invite you to take some time to join us and enjoy the picturesque scenery, explore the farm and experience our country way of life.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The Quarters was originally built for shearers who used to stay when they came at shearing times but who now travel daily. It is built adjacent to our woolshed so it was handy for the shearers to get to work and now used by guests from all around the world experiencing an authentic farm holiday on a working hill country sheep and beef farm.
