Very nice house â cosy, clean, and well-kept. Both the owner, Ross, and the manager, Tracey, were incredibly approachable and accommodating, especially when our arrival times changed unexpectedly. We had a great stay and will definitely book again!
Cosy character cottage with everything required for a comfortable stay including heating for each bedroom, lounge & dining/kitchen area with a good supply of firewood.Would recommend to those considering & would not hesitate to book again if returning.
Another great stay at Morgan St cottage. Love new the addition of the half bath. Super clean and comfy just as we remember.
Tracey (property manager) very prompt at attending to our questions.
Despite low snow at Mt Hutt we still managed 7 out of 7 days skiing!
Thanks again for having us stay again Ross and Anne.
Lovely home. Awesome shower pressure. Dishwasher, washing machine and dryer all easy to use.
The home is lovely, warn, and inviting. Clean tidy and well presented. The outdoor property was lovely also.
We would certainly recommend Morgan Street Cottage to family and friends.
Would love to come back for another stay.
We loved this quiet, cozy cottage in Methven. There were only 2 of us, but clearly the house would be just as comfy for larger groups. The kitchen is well-equipped too, and there is a lovely yard with flowers. The house is in town (which has free wi-fi), but also is close to excellent hiking and thermal pools.
Very pleased with our stay. Plenty of room for 2A + 2C aged 16 and 14 - each had their own room. Very convenient having laundry facilities and a dishwasher. Had trouble with both fireplaces filling the house with smoke (damp wood, we think) so we were thankful for the heat pump on the lounge and oil heaters in the bedroom's to take the chill off. Tried a few different eateries around town - all good. Had four days skiing up at Mt Hutt which was fun. Property managerv was super helpful after we lost our key on the second day! Less than ideal but Tracey and Kevin came to the rescue - thank you!
More communication and attentiveness would of been nice as due to the flooding the tap water was not safe to drink however there was no notice or anything and one of our party members got sick due to drinking the tap water and missed out on what was the reason we came to methven for which was Mt Hutt
Beautiful cottage/house suitable for young families, smalls groups or two couples. All the facilities worked well, comfortable beds, warm, quiet and close to town. Will definitely stay again if available. Only thing is that it needs WiFi. Thanks Ross and thanks Tracy great to meet you.
What a fantastic place to stay! Loved the old cottage feel but with a renovated bathroom and huge kitchen. The cottage was super warm with 2 fire places, a heat pump and heaters in every bedroom. Super clean and a very well equipped kitchen - even a rice cooker and thermos flasks for those days when you want hot soup up the mountain. The drying room was awesome for all the ski gear. Beds & pillows super comfy too. Communication with the owners and manager was great. Thanks for having us stay at your place Anne and Ross!
Fabulous spot for an adult family get together - loved the warmth from the 2 fires after a winters day outing.
could do with a little more cooking staples.
Most enjoyable
A well turned out cottage with every convenience. The living areas are comfortable and cosy with great fire places and wood burners.
A great place to stay when visiting Methven
This property offers quality accommodations and great value just a few minutes walk to Methven town center. The cottage is very well appointed, very well insulated ( Walls, Ceiling and under floor) and offers many heating options. The cottage has a lovely welcoming fee,l good views of the mountains and is ideal for families and small groups.
Although the cottage has many modern conveniences, it is it's old world charm with lovely rich wall paneling and furniture made from 100 year old recycle native timbers that make it stand out. Sitting in the living room in front of a roaring fire ( or the Aircon )and looking out on the world with drink in hand is not to be missed
