Quiet neighborhood near beaches, bayou and historic downtown Ocean Springs.
Vintage Mississippi is a cute little 2 bedroom apartment with full bath, living room and kitchen on a quiet street in an historic neighborhood. Off street parking. Keyless entry. Self-check in. A large breezeway connects your upstairs apartment with the main house. Huge oak trees shade a 1 acre yard with City Creek through the back. Walk downtown, or to the grocery, post office and many other places. Biloxi and the casinos are just across the bridge. Easy to get to. We have great WiFi. There is no television.
We were incredibly pleased with this space and definitely hope to return. It is a great location in a quiet neighborhood close to downtown Ocean Springs. The unit was fully stocked with everything we needed and then some.
I wouldn't want to be a heavy person and stay here as the bathroom is pretty tiny and the beds are standard doubles, but for us it was nice.. Kind of like staying in a treehouse up there on the 2nd floor in the treetops.
This property is as described in the listing. There is no TV and it is basic, but clean, quiet and in a nice neighborhood. The host was accessible and friendly and we were able to use the entire driveway to park our boat. The bathroom is very narrow (you need to turn sideways to get past the sink), but the bathtub and shower are full size and the shower is good. It is up a fairly long set of stairs.
We enjoyed our stay at Vintage Ocean Springs. Itâs a great value, not the Ritz but not advertised as such. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. We werenât there much and it was just what we needed. The only thing I would suggest would be to have at least one queen or king sized bed. This is Vintage, no TV just a nice radio; however, there is WiFi if you just canât live without watching the news or something.
Vintage wouldn't be the correct term to describe this place. Dirty basement is more like it. Being from OS I knew the area was bad but it was cheap so I figured it would be fine for a few nights. It was disgusting. Do not stay here. We got splinters in our feet, there were baby roaches - dead and alive- throughout the place and when we opened the fridge a huge ugly spider ran and hid in the door. It was dusty and the furniture was broken. We couldn't wait to get out of there so we left a day early and stayed at my inlaws. If you want a true OS experience, do not stay here. This is not it. We took photos for proof but there's no where to attach them.
I would happily stay here over and over!! Feels like home with the old southern charm! Itâs quiet very private and has everything u would possibly need and I was very happy that the lack of electronics gave my family an opportunity to step away from the technology for the week :) the only thing I would say is thicker blankets because the house does get very chilly :) already planing to pre book this home for next year :)
The property was everything we needed, compact and super clean, in addition to being so very convenient to historic downtown Ocean Springs shopping, restaurants and live music venues- we enjoyed spending time with our host and the owner , as well as some really great local musicians- our trip turned out to be a double blessing!! We enjoyed becoming familiar with a new destination, and left there with a group of newfound friends ! God willing we shall return!
I have lived in Ocean Springs all of my life; my parents and grandparents before me. I love my town and think you will too! The house we call Vintage Mississippi has been in our family for 5 generations.
Vintage Mississippi was built by my Great Grandfather as a wedding gift for my grandmother. It has always been in the familyâ5 generations now. The yard is large, shaded by huge Oaks (as is the entire street) and has City Creek flowing through. If you like old, you will like Vintage Mississippi.
Vintage Mississippi is quiet. The breezeway is a favorite place. There is room to play in the yard. The neighborhood is friendly. Many people walk and bicycle. It is also a safe place. There is room enough to park a boat trailer. It is a good place if you like to play music, either in the breezeway, or perhaps one of the local venues the feature open mic nights and other opportunities to get out an play.
