Set in a charming residential neighborhood this cozy 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath cottage has been completely renovated. Some updates include an exquisite new kitchen w/granite counter, new appliances and open-flow concept allowing for more natural light and bay breezes.

2021 interior updates include new furniture and decor, Wifi, Bluetooth access, streaming for 60" 4K HDMi tv, freshly painted, new windows, new front doors, slider off kitchen, all new electrical, new furnace and central a/c installed.

2021 exterior updates while maintaining its cottage charm include the back deck with corner bench, new furniture, landscaping, painted exterior and new outdoor shower.

Other pluses to the property:

* within walking distance, just 2 blocks to the bay beach and Harpoons on the Bay restaurant. Breath-taking sunsets at night. Bay beaches are free with ample street parking.

Fourth year staying at Serenity by the Sea!

A beautiful stay yet again for our family. Kimberly is a welcoming and accommodating host. Features that shined this year especially were the central air conditioning given how warm it was when we visited and the shed full of beach items we were able to borrow to supplement our own. Very grateful for a beautiful and comfortable stay!

Great place!

We booked this property for a short vacation in Cape May, and it was great! Nice, clean property! Beach was literally a short easy 2 block walk, and it was very easy to get around both by car and by bike to places nearby. The amenities for the property were great and definitely appreciated, including complimentary bottled waters, popsicles, and other assorted snacks. We can't wait to visit again!

This was our 5th year staying at this house. We love the location, a couple of blocks from the bay and a great restaurant on the water, Harpoons. The house is always clean and beautifully decorated and well stocked. We are always offered an early check in which is nice. The owner responds quickly if you ever need anything or have a question. They have a shed with beach equipment and bicycles so you can cut down on things you need to bring. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. I would absolutely recommend this beautiful property!

Another amazing stay!

This is our 4th summer staying at this wonderful house! It’s always clean and well-stocked. It has everything you would ever need, including beach items in the shed like bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach cart, toys etc. I love the nice quiet neighborhood and the easy couple of block walk to the beach. Loved eating at Harpoons again which is conveniently a couple of blocks over.

Everything about our weekend was great. Cape May is beautiful, but we were looking for a place to just be together. The proximity to the bay beaches was a real plus. The owner was extremely easy to work with as we mixed up chairs and towels and needed to sort that out. We would absolutely return to this cottage!

Another wonderful stay!

This is our third year staying in this beautiful beach cottage. The home is wonderfully maintained - clean with everything you could need for a comfortable stay down the shore. As always we loved the closeness and convenience of the Bay Beach and the fact that Cape May City with the Washington Street Mall and some of our favorite dining options was just a short drive away. Kimberly is wonderful to work with and is so helpful through the entire process. We hope to return again next year!

Another beautiful visit!

This is our second time staying in this beautiful beach cottage. Everything was well appointed and provided that we needed for a week together as a family at the shore. The house was clean and comfortable, just as we remembered it. The bay beach is so close, it made for such a comfortable and relaxing week. Phenomenal home for a beach vacation

I've stayed at many rental homes, but none that got everything so right and then some. The house is cozy, but also impeccably clean and super well-stocked. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking and serving a family of 5, and it's spotless. With a fine array of spices (including Old Bay and Tajin), an unopened bottle of (real) maple syrup in the fridge, a basil plant on the kitchen counter, and plenty of coffee and hot chocolate mix. We ate most meals on the deck. Kept our bikes in the spacious back yard and stopped locking them after the first day because it's clearly a safe neighborhood. A very short walk to the bay beaches and one more block to Harpoons restaurant, which makes for a lovely night out without driving. 1.5 miles to the Acme grocery store, which has everything. Kimberly replies quickly to all texts. Shed has bikes, beach chairs, and umbrella. The two bathrooms made it very comfortable for our family of two adults and three teens. Love, love, love this home.

2nd excellent stay

We stayed at this house again this summer and we’re just as happy there as last year. The house is clean, well stocked, is in a great quiet neighborhood, and 2 blocks from the bay. We ate at Harpoons a couple of blocks away every night. The bikes and beach equipment in the shed are a nice addition. We’ll be coming back next year!

Outstanding and Romantic!!

I have been staying in Cape May for over 30 years and this is by far one of the most beautiful and enjoyable places to stay. No detail was left out! The house is perfect for a couple with 1-2 children.

The perfect beach cottage 😍

This cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing and fun visit to Cape May. The bay beach is so close and gave immediate access to the beach, and Cape May City was a short drive away. The property was clean, well-supplied, and Kimberly was responsive and helpful! The kids loved the loft beds and backyard. We hope to make this our annual family retreat and plan to book this home again!

Great place for a relaxing getaway

Cute cottage sympathetically refurbished with all the mod cons. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans and utensils and the beds were comfy. The house is decorated in a casual yet elegant style. We felt right at home right away. Location is only a couple of blocks from the beach, and an easy drive to sites like Sunset Beach, Cape May Lighthouse, and the Aviation Museum. There were charging stations for mobile and other in the kitchen and master bedroom, which was very helpful. The back deck is a lovely place to enjoy a morning cup of tea (or coffee) and watch the birds.

Great stay on the bay side

Our family of 4 including a teen and college-age child enjoyed this comfortable, well-appointed home. We walked to the bay and to Harpoons for dinner, and enjoyed the sunsets over the water. The owner is great to work with, and the home has everything you could need. Ocean beach tags, updated kitchen, great outdoor space, and comfy beds! Highly recommend!

Amazing beach trip

We just got back from a wonderful stay here. The house is very clean, has everything you need for a fun and relaxing beach trip, and really is just a 5 min walk to the beach. The house has a nice backyard with grass, a little kids pool, deck and grill. The house was cozy but plenty of room for my husband, kids (4&6) and me. This was one of our best house rental experiences and I couldn’t have been happier with the house, its location, or the host’s responsiveness! A truly wonderful experience and we hope to stay again.

Excellent stay

We really enjoyed staying at this property. The neighborhood is quiet and the house is a couple of blocks from the bay and a great place to eat called Harpoons (lots of outdoor seating). The house was just the right size for my spouse and our child. The bedroom our child stayed in had a bunk bed over a full bed, so 3 children could potentially stay in there. The house is nicely updated and has everything you need. There is a nice deck in the backyard with a picnic table and grill. There are also chairs with a little fire pit. Staying on the bay side is great especially if you have young kids or want to escape crowded beaches. The water isn’t rough; a lot of people bring big floats and keep them in place with a sand bag and just sit out there and relax. I definitely recommend it. If you want to go to the beach side or to the shops in Cape May, it is an easy 15 min drive.

Perfect Getaway

This was the perfect place to stay for our mini getaway. We loved having two bathrooms, laundry and a deck to enjoy quiet evenings. It was close to the beaches and shopping.

Excellent location

Had a great time with my fiancé. The accommodations were great and could have slept at least two to three others. Appliances in great shape. Appears recently remodeled and had yard space and sitting area behind the house. Also the driveway is a plus and can fit at least two vehicles. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing! Clean! Perfect!

This is the perfect house for a small family or couple. The house is very clean and decorated perfectly! You can see the Bay from your front door. We would go down every evening to fish and watch sunset. The neighborhood is so quiet and relaxing. I cant wait to return!

"Escaping" to Cape May has been part of my life for the past 25+ years! Whether spending the entire time right here in North Cape May enjoying the bay beach, eating at Vincenzo's Little Italy, taking in the beautiful sunsets - OR - exploring nearby areas... each time had a way of recharging me. And, I always felt our home was close enough to all the amenities of a "traditional" shore town; ie, Victorian Cape May, Wildwood Amusements, Stone Harbor, Rehoboth Beach -- yet, also gave us the perfect place to withdraw from all the hustle bustle whenever we wanted.

I love this area and this neighborhood in particular. This same house I spent so many wonderful summers in has become a home I can now offer to others to enjoy. After many weekends of updating -- my husband and I did all the renovating, a lot of heart went into it! -- our Cape May cottage is ready to host your next vacation.
