This private 1100 sq ft top-floor oceanside condo is located in Kill Devil Hills. It has everything for an extraordinary beach vacation. Watch the sunrise over the water. Enjoy ocean views from every room and balcony. This unit is walking distance from great restaurants and the local grocery store.

Sunburst @ Coastal Retreat is bright, meticulously maintained and well appointed. It has an energetic side, facing the beach, with wonderful views and great people watching. Then it has a quiet side facing away from the beach that is more private, but equally as bright and sunny.

Over the last 45 years, the beach at the 10 mile post has been wide and spacious with great sand dunes and wide beaches.

We keep the property very clean and comfortable, with all the supplies you need to have a great beach trip. With 3 bedrooms you can comfortably sleep 6.

This is a condo unit. You have access to the whole place

We have contactless entry. But I'm only a text or call away.

Sunburst @ Coastal Retreat is in the true heart of the Outer Banks, near the 10 mile post in Kill Devil Hills. This area is home to some of the best local restaurants.

Coastal Retreat is right off of South Virginia Dare Trail. Our unit has two marked parking spots (under the building, closest to the stairs).

Beautiful view of both the town and the beach it was nice quiet and very peaceful and the owners were super nice and they had a binder of things to check out which helped me being a 1st timer to the outer banks

Great Place

This place was awesome. Great location to the beach and to shops, restaurants, etc. Was also a nice and quiet location. Owner was very attentive and responded to questions very quickly. Would 100% recommend and would stay again.

Spring break stay

We enjoyed our stay at the condo! It had everything we needed. Our dogs loved sitting on the balcony people watching. It was convenient to everything in Kill Devil Hills.

My husband and I loved the condo, it was just as pictured, great beach vibe! Great view of the ocean. Loved the restaurant next door, Kill Devil Grill, ordered takeout every evening! Our 2 weeks was wonderful.

This unit is very convenient & has a beautiful view of the ocean from the deck & master bedroom. The unit is well appointed and stocked with necessary items that feels like home away from home. The owner was prompt and helpful with questions.

Great Getaway!

The condo was very clean and in a great location!! They supplied us with everything we needed to have an enjoyable vacation! The owner was very accommodating and made sure to let us know he was only a call or text away if we needed anything. Location is great for the beach, restaurants, groceries. Condo clean and comfortable. Only complaint is the stairs. 4 flight of stairs no elevator. There is a lift for taking up your luggage. We did have a great stay.

Fabulous Beach Retreat

This “eagles nest perch “ on the 3rd floor is a great place to explore Kill Devil’s Hill. Very well appointed with all the “homelike “ touches. Our host was very prompt to respond and even included a recommendation for great restaurants nearby. The views of the ocean and sound are fabulous and it’s convenient to lots of fun things to explore. This is a wonderful place from which to enjoy Kill Devil’s Hill.

Just as Promised

It is a third floor walk up, which may not be right for everyone (but that means gorgeous views of both sunrise and sunset!) and the dumb waiter was very helpful. The unit was very comfortable and the beach closet was fabulous. We never even unpacked the things we brought for the beach! Very considerate items like sugar packets, salt and pepper, dishwasher pods, starter roll of paper towels and TP were also there. They also left a very really terrific book of helpful hints and promptly answered our questions. Many thanks to the owners for making this a great experience.

Great location

David was a great host. He’s very responsive and accommodating. He takes a lot of pride in his unit and welcomes feedback. The unit is close to great restaurants and is a short walk to the beach, with great views.

First time to Outer Banks

Our first time to the Outer Banks. We enjoyed our time while we were there. Our favorite experience was driving on horse beach, we didn’t see any horses, but a lot of laughter driving in the sand and the fishing was good to.

Great view

We watched the sun rise and the sun set on the covered deck. The perfect place to sit and drink a cup of coffee or a cocktail in the evening. The condo was very clean and had all the accessories needed for our stay. Check in was super easy. We would definitely stay there again . A great get away place to stay.

I grew up in the Outer Banks in the 70s and 80s working in the hospitality industry starting at age 12. Since 1990 I have lived elsewhere as an international technology executive and volunteer minister. I've worked and vacationed all over the world but still come back home to my favorite beach.

I love to introduce people to my home town and think it is the best place for a relaxed family vacation. I want to help you any way I can by giving you the best property and expert recommendations from nearly 50 years of OBX experiences. Just ask me to help in any way to have the best vacation and I will do my best!

My goal in life is to "retire" to the OBX and recreate the Anchorage Motel & Cottages my parents owned and operated from 1972-2004 as a "virtual resort" by renting some of the best, affordable, family-oriented properties on the OBX.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I kept my eye on this property for nearly 9 months before purchasing because it satisfies what I consider the ideal family vacation property. It is private, has great ocean views, it is steps away from the beach, you can watch the sunrise over the water from the Master or the deck, it has a central Outer Banks location, and it is meticulously maintained.

Also, over the last 45 years, the beach at the 10 mile post has been wide and spacious with great sand dunes and wide beaches. It is special to me because I grew up just down the street and remember sneaking into the pool at the John Yancey hotel right there by this condo.

We keep the the property very clean (and fully disinfected), comfortable, with all the supplies you need to have a great summer beach week (or weekend in the spring or fall). With 3 bedrooms you can comfortably sleep 6. Since this is a top-floor unit, this space ultimately breezy and livable while on vacation.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION - Sunburst @ Coastal Retreat is in the true heart of the Outer Banks near the 10 mile post in Kill Devil Hills. This area is alive with energy and some of the favorite local restaurants are in walking distance (Kill Devil Grill, Millers, etc.). You can rent anything from Ocean Atlantic Rentals (also walking distance). I checked the online reviews for Coastal Retreat condos and the next-door Hughes retreat condos and nearly every one says "GREAT LOCATION."
