Best kept secret! Uniquely suited for guests who requires both luxury and privacy, this gulf front home offers picture postcard views all day from all rooms. Located directly on the beach via private, gated road, it features beach to bay water access. Enjoy the famously beautiful Siesta Key sunsets nightly right from the lanai or upper level decks. Stroll on the unmatched private beach or take your coffee in the lush tropical gardens on the bay side. Launch a water adventure from the dock--boating, fishing, kayaking with access to Inter-coastal Waterway. Kayaks and stand-up paddle boards are provided.
Wide open spacious kitchen and living area with en suite king bedroom on main level along with additional full bath, laundry on main level and on upper level--double full-size stackable units in master closet. Elevator access from the ground level to every floor. The main level lanai spans the gulf front side and can be enjoyed in all weather as it features sliding glass windows. A romantic and spacious gulf front primary suite plus another gulf front king + twin and third queen garden view bedroom are upstairs which share spacious hall bath. Main level primary with en suite bath plus full hall bath for living area access. All bedrooms feature walk out terrace or lanai for peaceful outdoor relaxation anytime. Since these photos, the upstairs and bedroom carpet has been replaced with beautiful luxury vinyl plank. The staircase has been revamped to include a lovely solid aluminum handrail and new carpet runner. The comfort and peace this home affords are beyond explanation in just a few words.

Aptly named The Patient Heron for the oft sited Great Blue Herons which walk slowly along water's edge, this unique and luxurious home has only just been made available in the last four years. Fantastic Home in the Beach

This is our second stay at this place. We love how quiet it is here yet very close to all the Siesta Key action. The free trolley can take you anywhere on the key. Well stocked home with everything you need. We will be back next year.

A great house

We had Stayed in the house in 2021 and it was just as great this year. The living area is splendid and the amenities are first rate. Mike the caretaker is tops. We have already renewed for next year.

The view is magic

We stayed two weeks at this lovely home. We loved being steps from the beach and the unobstructed sunset views were magnificent. We fished from the dock out back most nights - we saw several dolphins and manatees and my brother hooked into a small tarpon. My mother hasn’t stopped talking about how much she loved it! I hope to stay here again.

Best Family Vacation!

We had an amazing vacation staying at the Patient Heron! The house was beautiful and fully stocked with all the essentials!! The view from the rooms were so peaceful and relaxing. It was a good distance from the busyness of Siesta Key. We weren’t surrounded by people but we could also be in town and to the village in 5-15 minutes! Our hosts were amazing and we were able to contact them at any time if we need anything. I would highly recommend staying at the Patient Heron! We genuinely enjoyed our stay in Siesta Key!!

Spacious and quiet environment: lovely and pleasant.

We had a wonderful two weeks in this house and we loved its spaciousness and layout. It has all conveniences of our home plus so much more! We loved the private beach and the restricted access to the public. We always felt safe and relaxed in absolute peace. We enjoyed the library and the unique garden in the back of the house. The house lets you enjoy daily sunsets and sunrises. Mike and Lorelei were excellent hosts and were always available when we needed any assistance. We needed a kettle and she got it for us right away. Suggestion: get bigger TV sets. The rooms are very large so the TVs get lost, a few more inches for each set would help. We would definitely come back. Thank you!

Great location, amazing view

The Patient Heron is spacious, easily accommodating our large family including 2 small children. The kitchen is well equipped and the location cannot be beat. There is a small strip of beach right in front of the driveway and Turtle Beach is a mere 5 min. stroll down the road. There are kayaks, paddle boards and other beach gear available for all to use. Restaurants and stores are close by. If you like fish, the Big Water Fish market is a must, where you can dine in or get the fresh daily catch for your grill. During our stay, we had a few issues that required attention. Mike, who takes care of the property, was quick to respond and address our issues. Thanks Mike for making our stay pleasant! The host, Lorelei, is very communicative and quick to respond. One thing to note is there was construction next door during our stay, which was very noisy, but not much can be done about that. All in all we had a great time. We would recommend the Patient Heron to anyone who wants a great beach vacation.

Incredible getaway

The month we spent at the Patient Heron was truly a dream. Lori is an amazing host, her communication is excellent and the information she shared was thorough and covered everything you’d want to know. The home itself is immaculate. It’s very well stocked with everything you could possibly need (from the kitchen to family games to outdoor activities like SUP and fishing... bathrooms, linens, cleaning supplies... EVERYTHING). The time we spent in this home was the best vacation we’ve had as a family. The sunsets on the balcony are unforgettable and paddle boarding in the bay (with manatees!) was unreal. They give you access via text to someone less than 5 minutes away if you have any questions or need anything with the home. The beach itself is private and low traffic, which was perfect for our two toddlers to explore. Aside from very friendly locals taking walks, we often didn’t have anyone within 100+ yards of us on the beach. This was truly a dream getaway for my family and I can’t say enough good things about the home, the host and the location. We CANT WAIT to go back.

It couldn't have been better...

Our family loved our stay at The Patient Heron. The house is spacious, really well-equipped and the views are spectacular! There is plenty to do (our gang loved the kayaking on the canal), the beach is right in font of you, and there are lots of toys provided for beach time. As I said, it couldn't have been better.

The Patient Heron

We had a wonderful two weeks at the Patient Heron!The house was very well stocked and the sunset and sunrise views were amazing. We took advantage of the local outings that were available, jet skiing boating and an amazing dolphin tour. I want to send a special shout out to Mike the property manager who was more than accommodating and could not have been nicer.

Location, location in 10 years this is by far the best house we have ever rented!

This house was fully loaded. If you like K-cups you will need to bring a machine with you. Upon arriving we were told no washing machine. With us being there 2 weeks we were nervous. It got repaired then broke again. The owners took care of us with wash and fold service. You walk out of the house and I just a few steps you are either on the dock watching manatee by the bay or in the gulf. I think I enjoyed the screened in porch the best and even with the windows shut I could hear the roar of the ocean as I slept. Big house, plenty of room, 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms made it even better. Best shelling I’ve ever done too. Would definitely come back!

Family Friendly & Amazing Location

We had a wonderful time at the Patient Heron! The house is beautiful and in the best possible location - right on the beach. Everything that we needed for the beach was available including chairs, kids toys, etc. The balconies and views from every floor are amazing. The owner was in constant contact with us during Hurricane Elsa to ensure our safety. We will definitely be coming back!

best of the beach life!

We loved our 2 weeks on Siesta Key! The property was expansive and comfortable with amazing views. We love to boat and the canal in back is perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding and was well suited for our 15 foot fishing boat. The kids played on the beach every day and the garage is full of great beach toys and equipment for all. We will be back!

A wonderful time

We very much enjoyed the Patient Heron and wished we could have stayed longer. The house was as advertised and we and our various guests had lots of fun and good times. Sitting on the beach or sitting in the 2nd floor patio to watch the sunsets was spectacular. We made plentiful use of the beach chairs and umbrellas and were out on the kayaks regularly. We can't wait to return next year.

Breathtaking views

This home seemed to be designed foe the break taking views. You have a view of the ocean from one side and a view of the canal and greenery from the side. Everything is screened in which is amazingly convenient. Beautiful kitchen and master. Everything you could want is in the garage for the beach. My only complaint was the Furnitire wasn’t the most comfortable and we were there a month in January. Perhaps if you are there when the weather is nicer and you don’t have older family members with you; the comfort of the Furnitire won’t matter so much. Also, bring your own roku or Apple TV for great room. It helps a lot. All in all a wonderful experience; just could’ve been more updated and comfortable; but we would recommend it

Perfect, private getaway in Siesta Key!

I found this beautiful home as I was looking for a place where my family and I could be as safe as possible during the time of the pandemic, particularly having two immunocompromised people in our party. It was absolutely perfect. The house was sparkling clean when we arrived and extremely spacious so perfect for larger families as well as family-friendly for all members of the family. The views from the second-floor lanai and third-floor balcony, as well as the balconies attached to the bedrooms, were breathtaking, especially at sunset. The quick and easy access to the beautiful beach (which is across the private road) made it so easy to come and go as we please. The house has all the amenities, including an elevator, so you can arrive at the house as worry-free as possible. The backyard is also a paradise, and makes you feel like you’re in a tropical wonderland. The kayaks on the back deck and paddle boards were also a great addition to the house and were used by my family frequently to paddle out to the beautiful bay. On top of that, the host was extremely gracious. As first-time users of VRBO, we were uncertain about what a vacation in someone else’s house would bring. But Ms. Fischer answered all of our questions and was extremely informative, helpful, and flexible throughout our stay. We felt very safe and “at home”. This secluded and peaceful spot is perfect for a relaxing vacation for your family. Thank you Ms. Fischer!! We hope to be back soon.

We are a family from and currently living in the Atlanta, GA metro area. There are 4 generations including the original purchaser of the home, his two children and spouses, their 6 children plus spouses and four great grandchildren. We have been vacationing on the Gulf of Mexico for several generations. This is a family vacation home purchased for the enjoyment of our family yet shared with seasonal tenants.
