Contemporary Log Guesthouse with Sauna: Historic North End - Perfect for Couples
The Wooden House is a spacious almost 900 square foot urban retreat in the heart of the North End. This getaway is a perfect balance of industrial and cozy warmth. Walk, scooter, or Uber to Hyde Park and downtown from this quiet hideaway. In the warmer months, open the bay door to let the outside in. When itâs cooler the radiant floor heat will keep your toes toasty and when it gets warmer, you can cool down with the a/c. If you want more heat, turn the sauna on and have a sweat. Extra large bedroom with comfortable queen bed and additional lounge space on 2nd floor. Please note that because we share the backyard space & we have a dog, we cannot accept bookings from those with service animals. We, for security reasons, have two outdoor cameras at each entry. We are designersâŠand this is a special place that we have put love & care into. Itâs not a generic house managed by a big property management company. Youâll see like so many of our past guests. Looking forward to hosting you!
Great location close to mountain biking, Hyde Park coffee/bars/restaurants, downtown, and the North End family and friends we came to visit. This guesthouse is quiet, charming, well-appointed and comes with a visit from Vera, the sweetest pup in the neighborhood. Highly recommend if you're looking for a private oasis in the heart of the North End.
We had an amazing time staying at The Wooden House! Derek and Danielle were excellent hosts, and they have done an outstanding job designing each aspect of this home including each room, furniture, decor, etc. Our favorite design element was the skylight window with a fantastic view of their pine tree. Also, the neighborhood was super nice and a close walk to several great restaurants on 13th street that had us covered at any time for any meal. Weâd definitely recommend staying here, and look forward to our next visit!
Wonderful property. Very modern interior, beautifully decorated. We felt comfortable from the moment we got there until we left 3 days later. Walking distance from the Hyde Park shopping & restaurant district. Beautiful neighborhood. Would definitely stay again.
Great location and a very nice space! The property was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. It was easy to get around the area, and everything I needed was nearby. Would definitely stay here again!
The Wooden House was perfect. Sparkeling clean, whimsical and comfortable. The hosts have thought of every detail and had excellent communication. The location allowed us to walk to restaurants, cute coffee shops, ect. while in a quiet neighborhood. We'll bring our bikes next time. We hope to stay again.
Loved our short stay at this guesthouse. Location was perfect for us, beautiful neighborhood and close to hikes, downtown and boise river. The place is very nicely setup and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Bed was great and everything worked well. We had no issues. Hosts were helpful and always quick to respond as well.
Love everything about it ! Really well done. Walk to Hyde Park for dinner. Meet great people out. Very friendly and quiet neighborhood! Thank you for a great week
We loved our stay! The attention to detail was amazing â we especially enjoyed listening to old cassettes on the vintage boom box. It was a perfect place for remote work; both my husband and I worked comfortably during our stay. The bed was very comfortable, everything was clean and well-appointed, and the sauna (which we used twice!) was definitely a highlight. The location was excellent, with easy access to 13th Street, coffee shops, pubs, and downtown Boise. We would absolutely stay here again!
Wonderful property and hosts. They greeted us, very welcoming. Especially there dog. Definitely need to come back here again for a quick get away! Also the sauna was lovely!
This was one of the nicest places weâve stayed. The hostess was fantastic, fast response to concerns or questions. Even gave us ideas on what areas to look while we were in town
Such a wonderful and relaxing stay. The property was impeccable and comfortable. We loved the decor. The sauna was fantastic after skiing all day. The location is extremely convenient. We will definitely stay again when we return to Boise!
Oh my gosh!! If they will have us again, we would love it! The Cabin gorgeous! We are amateur photographers and did a little photo shoot here. It was PERFECT! thank you so much for our relaxing stay! Haunted World was awesome too!
The property is beautiful and it was a delight to stay here.
It was well designed and appointed nicely.
Danielle, Derek and Veera were great hosts.
It was quiet and felt like a little oasis in the middle of Boise.
We loved the Sauna and the Atlas Cedar they provided a great deal of comfort.
Comfortable log cabin tucked in an alley in a wonderful neighborhood. The cabin has great amenities. Owners decorated with eclectic detail. Short walking distance to Hyde Park 13th Street Shops. Awesome first time visit to Idaho!
We loved all the attention to detail and comfort. The bed, pillows and blankets are so comfortable. We were able to sleep well. The skylight above the bed was an added bonus. We also appreciated the extras (cold drinks in the fridge, beautiful coffee table, and the hammock swing for relaxing). We didnât have time for the sauna but it looked wonderful.. The location is in a beautiful neighborhood and very private. It is a short pleasant walk to Hyde park with excellent restaurants, brewery, coffee shops and bakery. Also the hosts are very welcoming and helpful.
21st St. is part of the 'sweet spot' of Boise's North End,
and close to parks, grocery stores, restaurants, and Hyde Park.
As a family of artists, craftspeople, and builders, we took a tour of the cabin. We were all impressed!
The personal touches Derek and Danielle have added to the cabin make a wonderful place to visit Boise!

Coveted historic heart of the North end neighborhood. Sidewalks for walking & lush tree canopy. Beautiful foothills with many foot trails are blocks away as well as Camelâs Back & Elmgrove Parks. 13th Street for eats, treats, rental bikes, and shopping.
We are designers and Boise locals. Weâve been thoughtful about creating the perfect little getaway for couples visiting the City of Trees. We are not a big property management company just looking to put a roof over your head. We provide a memorable experience for guests from all over the world.
