The Inn at 257 is located in the beautiful Elliotborough neighborhood. You will be FOUR short blocks from King Street. We recommend you leave your car parked in our lot and enjoy the city on foot, bicycle, or the ever convenient Uber and Lyft.

If you've never used a European style bathroom before, you're in for a treat! The sleek and modern bathroom has teak mats so you can comfortably use the open space at all times. You do not have to worry about splashing or getting water on the floor. The entire floor is water proof.

Perfect spot for what I needed. Super great location close to coffee shops, restaurants, and local businesses, and easy to have a quite walk downtown or access to King St. The bed was very comfy and the shower room was a cool feature. Only comment for future guests is to keep your eyes peeled when first arriving if by car; since it's a one way street, if you miss the driveway, you've got to circle the block (which is quick to do, I just missed it the first time). Parking on site was super convenient though it would probably have been easy to find street parking nearby.

Our stay at this Charleston VRBO was wonderful! The host was friendly, responsive, and very accommodating. The place was exactly as described—spotlessly clean and in a fantastic location, walkable to King Street and several great restaurants. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the convenient parking was a huge plus. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Charleston.

This is a great little spot in the heart of downtown Charleston. The room is well appointed with a lot of thoughtful inclusions (water, coffee, glasses, microwave etc.) and really comfortable furniture. We really enjoyed our stay.

Pleasant place to stay

Close enough to the crowded parts of downtown to be convenient but still has a great neighborhood feel. Courtney was very responsive and has a great property!

Great stay for a weekend in Charleston! The room was relatively small and simple, but clean and comfortable--especially the large bed! The wall-less shower is a bit odd, as the entire floor gets wet and it's difficult to get your feet dry, but the water is hot and the pressure is good, so no real issues. The fridge and microwave were handy for leftover food, and the host even provided paper plates and plastic utensils, a thoughtful bonus! (There were several Keurig coffee cups and a couple granola bars as well!)The parking is a little tight, but it's very convenient to have a spot to leave a vehicle while exploring the area. And, speaking of which, the location is ideal as well--just a few blocks from King Street, perfect if you plan on walking everywhere!Courtney was kind and responsive, and all the instructions for the house very clear and thorough. We didn't get a chance to try the heated pool (as it was snowing the weekend we visited and 90 degree Fahrenheit water isn't warm enough for that!), but it was there and open, and the water looked clean.Overall we had a wonderful stay! We would book here again if we visited in the future :)

Anniversary holiday

My husband and I started our anniversary trip in Charleston. Our stay was perfect! Courtney was very kind, responsive, and helpful.The bed was so comfortable and the pool was magical. I loved staring my day with coffee and a dip! The location is very safe and walkable. If you are tired from a day of play it is a 5 Lyft ride. We would stay here again.

My hubby and I made a quick trip to the area. It’s a 15-20 min walk to the shopping/restaurants/market area. Beautiful city! The room was super clean and quaint. Communication with Courtney was top notch. Very responsive with any questions we had. The bed is sooooo comfortable! Would definitely recommend and would stay again!

This property was clean and a great size for me and my husband. Had all of the amenities of a hotel without the cost. The communication with the property manager was almost immediate and they were able to accommodate our early check in request. If you want to stay right near downtown Charleston book this place now!

Loving Charleston

We had a very pleasant stay. There was some construction going on next door, but we were not bothered by it, since we were out most of the time. It was a bit further out than we anticipated. But there is a free shuttle that gets you almost everywhere. Beautiful neighbour hood with coffee shops.

What a cute place!! It was further from the Market area than I thought. There was a musty odor present which I think is probably common to the south. The owner did as much as they could to help with this- covering with other scents and fresh linens. The bottle of wine was very sweet! We enjoyed our visit to Charleston.

Charleston Visit

Room itself was very modern and up to date. Host was extremely nice and easy to communicate with. She provided bottled water, keurug cups, and a nice touch with bottle of wine! Property is being totally redone in adjacent buildings so quite a bit of construction materials around. Off street parking was good. Only thing we didn’t like was shower situation. Good shower but the whole bathroom floor gets soaked!!!

Obviously it's a newly renovated property but the outside messiness was a surprise...it's also advertised as a B n B but that is a misnomer as breakfast is not a thing...i liked the bed n the bottle of wine was a nice touch...overall it's quite small n the shower is different...blackout shades would be nice...it's expensive overall but maybe this is Charleston

Nice location!

This property has a good location to walk the city but it it definitely requires quite a bit of walking to get to the French Quarter, the Battery, most restaurants we went to, etc. We did 8 miles of walking one day & after that decided to do Uber for the rest of the trip. Ubers are readily available all the time! So much easier! Parking in the city is very hard! Leave your car in the parking space this house has designated for you. We liked that this had off street parking for us. The bed was VERY comfortable!! I mean it…..VERY! We slept SO good! Thank you!!
