*PLEASE NOTE: SunDestin Beach Resort is undergoing a property modernization project. Construction may occur daily between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., including weekends if needed, and guests may experience construction noise and minor inconveniences. Outdoor amenities (excluding the hot tub) are currently closed and are expected to reopen in Spring 2026. Dates and timelines are subject to change.

This second-floor vacation rental at Sundestin Beach Resort has updated decor throughout the unit. The floors in the entryway, kitchen, dining area, bathrooms and living room all have tiled floors. There is a private balcony located off of the living room that offers a partial view of the Gulf of Mexico. This unit is located right above the indoor pool and also offers a view of the outdoor pool. The unit has one and a half bathrooms that are connected and are accessed through both the bedroom and the hallway. This unit is perfect for your next family getaway.

Things to Know
Ongoing construction and amenity closures are to be expected. Construction is predicted to be completed Spring 2026.Check-in time: 4:00 p.m.Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

This Building is undergoing Construction. It was right in front of our window. Horrible view of the ocean there was a roof top blocking the view The bathroom shower curtain was dirty and had soap scum on it and the shower curtain had a rip in it. I have pictures hopefully I can attach at the end. The TV in front room did not work I asked for help no one ever got back to me. The TV in bedroom worked but on basic channel. The Bed was very uncomfortable and made a lot of noise when you sitting on bed or turn over at night. Was only given one towel and washcloth per person. Was told we had to wash if we needed clean towels. Now the washer and dryer you have to pay for and the dryer on the 2nd floor is not working. Was told not to hand towels clothes ect off balcony. So please bring extra towels and was rags if you stay in this unit. NO HOUSE KEEPING SO IF YOU ARE THERE FOR A WEEK OR LONGER BRING MOP CLEANING WIPES ECT. Bring trash bags paper towels also. Also a used wash rag was left in the bathroom medicine cabinet. Only a vacuum a dust pain with no broom was left. The shower pressure was so hard it was painful to stand under expecally after being in the sun allday. The kitchen cabinets needs repairs.

Ok stay

First time my husband and I came to Destin was in 2017 and we stayed in this exact condo. The years have definitely aged this place. The room was clean, however, there were large pieces missing from the kitchen countertops. There was construction thru out the whole building, and the construction lift was right outside the patio the entire time. There was no phone service in the condo and phone would not even work on WiFi. The tv in the room did not work and we couldn’t even change the input to watch a movie. And lastly, the patio tiles were wet and extremely loose to a point we couldn’t walk out with no shoes. Hopefully all of this will be resolved the next time we visit as I love the view from the condo and it’s not too high up! Maybe we will check it out the next time we are in town to see if updates have been made!

We enjoyed our stay at the beach

We enjoyed our few days at the beach. Our only complaint was trying to do laundry, the coin receiver was full so it would not work the first two days. The home had what was needed to be comfortable and run in and out to the beach.

Property location was great but property condition was terrible. Room was hot and humid when we arrived because the AC was off and sliding glass door was open. Room smelled of sewer! Internet did not work. Called Vacasa- provided summary of concerns. I have not heard back from anyone. I advised the staff below (who were great when we arrived) but the situation improved. I vacated the premise and found a hotel down the street. I was incredibly disappointed. I would like half my amount paid given the poor representation of the property condition.

Need more information when booking

Loved the closeness to the beach and everyone was very friendly. A staff member helped me get a luggage cart down the stairs due to the elevators being full every time the doors opened! 😊😊

Condo was just ok

Great neighborhood and a fast walk to the beach. Condo has a bad ant problem, so I had to throw a lot of food away. There was no Wi-Fi. The mattress protector on the bed is very noisy when you move and I wish I would’ve been informed that maintenance would be entering the unit for the construction process

Great stay

We had a little getaway and this place was exactly what we wanted. Only suggestions I would give is to change out the shower head. Pressure was a little too good that it hurt a little on sun burnt skin. Also recommend a little more variety in blankets. I love fuzzy blankets and had to go buy one to sleep comfortably.

So peaceful and healing

This has been a very hard year, replete with trials. I was able to book this condo easily. Destin is one of my favorite places in the world. Someone here speaks of the odor. I have the nose of a blood bound and there was no bad odor. Being able to stay on the beach and walk down so quickly was such a blessing! The staff was great at communicating. The view was wonderful. Thank you so much. The Lord gives rest to those that He Loves. That is what this was for me.

You get what you pay for.

The location is great. Nice beach access. This unit could use some upgrades. Countertops are losing lament. Only one small skillet. Bathroom shower has the pressure of a fire hose. Which after the sun can be painful. But a great price.

My review of unit 0207

The unit was nice in size, but could use a deep cleaning. I didn’t think the roof at the balcony would be a big deal, but the trash and other items that get dropped on it was shocking. The remote to the living room tv is old and not very responsive, also needs to be updated. We had to use the tub instead of the shower since the shower wouldn’t turn on. But, we did like SunDestin, a lot. I just need to know if these issues were on the resort, the unit owner, Vacasa, or someone else. Thinking of getting a larger unit next time to share with another family of 3, but not with those issues.

Everything you need for a beach trip

This room has everything you need to enjoy time at the beach. It is a one bed room location. So this is good for a couple or a small family where the kid(s) can sleep on the couch. The best thing about this room is it still has 2 bath rooms. There is a TV in both the living area and the bed room. There is also a full kitchen so you can cook in an oven, stove top, or even microwave. And the fridge will hold everything you need. There were only two things I thought were a little off. The kitchen faucet is loose. It worked great but I was afraid something might happen to it. And when taking a shower there is a slow drain. So the water will collect at your feet as you shower. Once you are done it drains fine. Just slow. I didn't have an issue with the view but note that in front of the balcony is the roof of the indoor pool. You can still see the ocean so I was good with it. It is also within walking distance of the water park which was great. And it's a short drive to AJ's and the other water front stores. I wouldn't hesitate to book this room again.

Everything good except foul smell in kitchen which made living area stink also.

Smell very low since Saturday . Then on Monday night got so bad that had to call maintenence due to kids could not sleep in there area. Called vacasa they got maintenence there quickly and garbage disposal was not properly working and leaking . They tackled smell worked on disposal but smell was still there. They quickly moved us to another unit but did not offer any incentive . Lost time with family. Paid for late check out , hoping we still get what was paid for at sundestin

Great Getaway with the Kids

The property is located right off the beach and is a short walk or drive away from most restaurants and tourist destinations. The room was slightly less modern than the pictures reflect, but was clean and comfortable. Bring your own towels you only get three, and there is no turn down or laundry service.

Upgrades Needed

This unit was ok, nothing special and the view was ok. My fault for not noticing it didn’t have a washer/dryer in the unit. One of the many reasons my family and I prefer a condo over hotel. This unit had broken cabinets in the full bath. The location is great and the resort was good. This unit needs some TLC!

Great location having the kitchen and bringing our own food was a big help and also saved $. But looking over the roof of the outdoor pool sucked especially when every time there was somthing new on it(underwear, half eaten sandwich, socks, cigarette buds) it should be a bit cheaper due to this. They do need to invest in more luggage carts you will have to stalk someone! Also messaged about umbrellas and chairs were provided? didnt really get a straight answer so we baught an umbrella went to put up and were told we had to take it down so that was a bummer and had to rent them (once again useful info.) Also wanting to grill you must go to front desk for lighter/gas turn on key once again useful info. Bed was comfy, kitchen had adequate tools to cook could use a few extra sets of plates,etc. so one doesnt have to stay totally on top of it to eat every meal.Staff was friendly and the beach was exactly what we wanted!! Loved having Pinacoladas from the bar in establishment!!!

Out-dated but great view

The room was very out-dated and oddly arranged but it did have a beach view. The bed was very old and creaky and there were not many amenities like blankets. The TV had cable which as nice but no other capabilities. It definitely did the job but could definitely be improved.

Great!

Great location. Easy to get in and out of being on second floor. Great for a family vacation for 2 adults and 2 young children. Check in was quick and easy. Unit was clean and had plenty of linens for bathrooms and beds. Only down fall was no tiki bar or restaurant however the on site store had plenty to offer.

Good experience

Overall good experience for a last minute find. 3 stars for cleanliness due to outdated unit, balcony oversees the roof of the indoor pool so lots of dust/sand debris and trash lands in the balcony. Not to mention there was a dirty female underwear under the pullout couch! Otherwise great location, 2nd floor unit close to side staircase convenient for avoiding the elevator and lobby in these Covid times. Pool ok maybe a bit crowded. Beach was awesome but check tent and umbrella policy to make sure you can use your own, we had to set our own approx 100yds away, again better for social distancing! ;)
