Welcome to Palmer's Point on Jeremy Creek in historic Mcclellanville. Our spacious 2700 sf 4 bedroom. 4 bath home sits on 2 acres with beautiful grand oaks. Large living room with stone fireplace and large open kitchen. Watch the boats go by from the screened back deck. The side deck has gas grill, large lower patio and screened in porch. 30 minutes to Historic downtown Charleston and IOP .
The location is nice. The house, not so much. The host, leaves much to be desired. We traveled over 4 hours to get to this house hoping for a great weekend full of fishing and fun. We were told that we couldnât check in until 4:00 due to the house being cleaned. When we arrived, the house was in fact not cleaned. The beds were made and the house was straightened up but there was debris all over the floors, bathrooms, and furniture. Upon further inspection, there was mouse feces all over the house along with sunflower seed shells all over one of the rooms. With our young toddlers with us nearing bedtime and this location being over an hour to the nearest decent hotel, we had no choice but to clean the house enough to feel somewhat comfortable enough to stay the night. We went to the nearest store and bought cleaning supplies and cleaned the entire house. We reluctantly stayed and woke the next morning to find our food in the kitchen had been eaten by mice. This was the last straw for us and we began packing immediately to head to Charleston to stay in a decent hotel. We asked the host for a full refund and were told that we would be receiving one. It took four separate calls to VRBO and the host to finally get our money refunded. The host admitted to knowing that there was a mouse infestation in the house before renting it to us. The host also made it clear that they werenât very concerned or surprised when I confronted them about it. I would not recommend this property.
The Palmer home was just what we were looking for w/the sprawling lawn & dock on Jeremy creek, plenty of relaxing space & sleeping. I would go back. Thxu!
Palmers Point was great. Plenty of room and comfortable with lots of outdoor space to enjoy. The dock accommodated two boat easily and the boys had a great time fishing and crabbing . We hope to return next year.
NOT as described, the house was beautiful from the outside! Upon entering it was not at all as the ad described. the house was dirty, covered in dust, smelled of rotten eggs, the grounds had debris everywhere ,dirty stained curtains no WiFi,I could go onâŠ.
Stayed for a long weekend to visit family and the house was just amazing and fulfilled all our needs! We will definitely be booking again in the future.
We had the best time staying at this home. From the space, the view, the water access, it could not have been more perfect for our family. Would definitely recommend!

Palmerâs Point fit our needs perfectly. Love the house with all the outdoor deck and porch space. The yard is beautiful with live oaks and a big grassy area. The dock has just been redone and we enjoyed fishing and crabbing. The inside has plenty of space and is very homey feeling. Absolutely Love McClellanville!

The house was amazing and so comfortable. loved the layout and the location. Suited our family's needs and everyone enjoyed it so much. Looking forward to our next stay.
Places was even nicer than pictures. Large dock for family fishing, conveniently located near museum and several restaurants. Would definitely stay again!
Some TLC will make a world of difference on outside and screened in porches And I fixed some of the nails sticking up on the dock. Overall a great house
Boat landing - The closet is across the creek at McClellanville Town hall. However, they now only offer an annual pass for $100....no longer daily fees. However, Buck Hall Recreation Area and Boat Landing is about is about 5 miles S and is free to put in. They charge $7 a day to park there...but doubt you would do that. Their # fyi is 843-336-2200. There is also Pole Yard Boat landing N. Santee which is free.
