This was a multi level house nestled in a lovely community with a great view of the ocean. House was spotless and housekeepers were very good at their job. The chef was a treat and delighted us each day with his talents for breakfast and dinner. I give this house an below than average rating, as it was very difficult to enjoy all this, due to the noise we experienced from 5:45AM til 6PM each day even on Sunday, as a new house was being built next door. Laying out by the pool was not relaxing. The owners knew that this noise existed and we were not made aware of this until our concierge mentioned it on his way OUT the door. This property should be discounted until the construction is completed. I mentioned this to the concierge and he said he would speak with the owners. I have yet to hear back from him, which does not surprise me.
The house was exactly as advertised! Our family enjoyed watching the Scarlet Macaws, Toucans and all the daily monkey sightings and visits. David was so helpful when we had questions and everything went seamlessly. We actually could have avoided renting cars as it was easy to get around.
The maids were so friendly and did an amazing job keeping the house cleaned and even did our laundry! A totally great experience.
We had the pleasure of staying here and had an absolutely magnificent time! We opted to have the private chef for four days and absolutely recommend the add! Jorge and Kim were an absolute delight! Our meals were perfect and fully accommodating to our dietary needs. The rooms and cleaning services were so lovely. All was just fantastic.
Had a great stay! Check-in was easy and David communicated everything well prior to our arrival.
House is in a great neighborhood (though street was pretty sketchy to arrive at the house as it is only partially paved)
Tons of stairs in the house, but if you donât mind those there is plenty of room for everyone. We had 4 adults and 7 kids from ages 7-19 and everyone thought the house was great! Clean, comfortable rooms and a fantastic view! Direct view of the ocean and saw a ton of wildlife right from the pool deck and our balconies- spider monkeys, howler monkeys, toucans, and scarlet macaws!
Special shout out to housekeeping! She/they were great! Not only was the house spotless, but every day we returned from our tours our laundry was washed and folded on our beds - no need to worry about finding a place to do your laundry there!!
The only thing thatâs a little strange about the layout is there are 2 detached bedrooms that require separate access from the main living area. Just a quick walk up or down stairs, but if you have all little ones, wouldnât want them off on their own.
Overall, great stay though and would definitely stay again!
Our family of 11 had a great vacation in this very clean, spacious and comfortable home in Manuel Antonio. The layout of the bedrooms and baths provided lots of comfort and privacy. The housekeepers were great and very friendly. The management team was attentive and helpful. They provided us with 3 different chefs for some of our meals. Chefs Jorge & Kimberly and Marco & Marissa were fantastic. Request either one of these duos if you can. The neighborhood is convenient to everything - including nice restaurants right up the hill - and the monkey crossing over the road just in front of the house provided an entertaining daily show - topped off with plenty of toucan and scarlet macaw sightings. We highly recommend this property.
The views from this property are gorgeous. We had plenty of room for our group of 10. We all enjoyed the numerous visits from the monkeys each day as well as the gorgeous Scarlett Macaws and Toucans. I would recommend this home, but just know that there are a lot of stairs that some people may not be able to navigate.
The pool was perfect for our kids and adults. Viewing the Pacific and monkeys in the trees added to our fun. The location was close enough to walk to the grocery and pharmacy. The only thing that needs to be addressed is the very slippery tile area as you step out of the pool. That caused several falls. We ate breakfast and dinners in because of our 4 young children and chef Allihandro Iâd a wonderful job.
Accommodations were great for our group of 6. Great ocean view. Large outdoor space. Plenty of wildlife to enjoy. Alberto was very helpful to us whenever we needed anything! This was a return visit for us to this house! Highly recommend it!
Beautiful vacation home with spectacular views and an even better concierge, Alberto!
I stayed with 12 friends for our annual reunion and we would all highly recommend staying here! Alberto, the house concierge, is outstanding. One of our friends proposed to his girlfriend during the trip and Alberto worked with a local restaurant on the beach to arrange a special dinner and surprise. He also booked transportation to/from the airport, a guided tour at nearby Manuel Antonio National Park, a private chef who cooked our group dinner at home one night, and an incredible catamaran tour. He can also help arrange ziplining, scuba diving, surf lessons, and pretty much anything else you want to do in Costa Rica! Aside from Alberto, the house is pristine and has an amazing view of the beach, rainforest, and ocean. There are five bedrooms, so we all had plenty of space, and the great room and dining room/kitchen were all wonderful. The pool space had enough lounge chairs for everyone and never felt crowded. The house is also within walking distance to a good number of restaurants and bars. Note that the house is located on a pretty steep hill, so walking anywhere (including to the beach) requires a 5-10 min walk uphill first. This wasn't an issue for us, but may be for other travelers. Also, note that the town of Quepos (where the house is) is about a 3-hour drive from the airport so plan accordingly. Overall, this was an incredible vacation and we would definitely book the house again!
House is top notch: furniture and equipment in good shape, no sign of wear and tear. High quality staff, Alberto was very helpful.
Short walk to grocery and restaurants. Easy to use bus service to beach.
Howler monkeys can be heard early - that was fun.
Everything about our stay was truly Magnificent! I rented the house to celebrate 50th Birthday with friends - and it was the experience of a lifetime! The house was amazing - Just like the pictures! Lots of privacy with strategically placed bed rooms and ensuite baths. Big enough areas to gather together - and we spent the majority of time enjoying the patio/pool area surrounded by stellar views and wild life (monkeys every day!). The house was close enough to walk to great restaurants and supermarket; Taxi service worked well for further excursions (we taxiâd to the beach). Also - bus was an easy and inexpensive way to get into Quepos! Excursions picked us up at house - so definitely no need to get a car! Alberto, the concierge - was a huge highlight of the trip. He made sure that we had everything we needed the entire week. I worked with him prior to arrival and he organized our transportation from SJO to the house, and booked excursions for us in advance (His choices were perfect.). Arranged for private chef to cook special dinner; He helped us with taxis, made a store run for us for supplies, gave us tips and tricks for getting around town - anything we needed â he arranged. (Cooler for the beach). And we always had fresh towels for both showers and the pool! Anyone looking for a full service experience and the feeling of being spoiled - Pick this place - you wont be disappointed.

Fabulous!!!
Spent 4 days at this location with my family. Beautiful home and very clean! The icing on the cake was Alfredo. He was are go-to person for anything we needed. He set up our excursion, and made meal planning stress free. Everyone enjoyed the monkeys that visited almost daily. The only drawback was that we had our 89 year old mother with us and she had a little difficult negotiating all the stairs, but no issues with anyone else. We had Alfredo arrange a chef come in and cook for us. It was spectacular! As good or better than any place in town. We totally enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.
Our stay at Mirador Magnifico the week of March 12th 2018 was magnificent indeed. The property exceeded our expectations . Alberto was very helpful, he contacted us several times prior to our visit to assist with any questions or activities we wanted planned. He was available anytime we needed him during our stay. The housekeeping, including laundry, made you feel you were at a 5-star resort. The property has awesome views and is close to restaurants, shopping and the beach. Thanks for providing us an unforgettable Spring Break!
From start to finish our family had the most fantastic stay at this villa. Every room has ocean view, cool air and tropical ambience. Alberto was attentive and fabulous, and the chef Randy made the most delicious and authentic Costa Rican meals. The housekeeper was super sweet and made us feel like royality. I cannot say enough about the staff, the villa and the monkey friends we made. It's also close to everything, the beaches, the tours, the national park and markets. Our family will defitnely stay here again when we return to Manual Antonio. Again many thanks to Alberto, Randy and the owners of such a magnificent property. Pura Vida!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mirador Magnifico the week of March 14-21. We are a family of 10 celebrating my parents' 70th birthdays. Ages of 4 kids ranged from 5-12. There was more than enough space and my girls who are the oldest, even got their own room. We didn't even utilize the downstairs room which had a nice balcony. The house is split level so there are a lot of stairs though that didn't bother us at all.
Alberto saw to all our grocery needs, taxi's, etc. Thank you so much for everything you did! Our housekeeper was fabulous! Clean towels and sheets daily. We felt like we were in a 5 star private resort!
The pool was our highlight at the end of the day after excursions and the beach. It was warm at night after the sun went down and cool when it was blazing. It probably has one of the most awesome views of the ocean on the street. We were visited daily by Capuchins and Titi monkeys. We loved seeing them play on the ropes and in the trees. We saw a Pesota (sp?) sneak on the deck only once and heard Howler monkeys every morning. Lots of wild parrots and colorful birds flew by constantly. We truly felt we were in a rain forest!
Less than a 10 minute walk to the main street with several good restaurants and shopping. It took my family of 4 about 30 minutes to walk downhill to the nearest beach and $10 to ask a local to take us back! I do think it is the prettiest beach with not a lot of people and wonderful photo ops with huge jagged rocks. Just ask the local beach chair guy to call a cab for you. The more popular beach with restaurants and parasailing was nice as well - just a bit crowded. However, its easy to walk across the street for dinner.
Overall, our stay was wonderful! Beautiful house, great staff, magnificent view!
Dean - thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
I would recommend this house to anyone visiting Manuel Antonio!
We recently stayed at the house for a week and had a wonderful time. It is even more beautiful than the photos suggest. Alberto was so helpful and kind. We didn't need a car. The bus line is close and many restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend this property!
Alberto and Junior made out visit so very special. We were there with friends to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday and the service was nothing short of extraordinary. Alberto, the house manager, was always available, arranged everything from taxi's, to catered dinners, to kayaking in the mangroves and even cutting down the huge banana leaves so i would have unobstructed views of the monkeys. Junior prepared breakfasts and dinners for us which were not only amazing to look at but so delicious. Banana pancakes and juevos rancheros for breakfast and a whole red snapper warpped in a banana leave with spices. It was the service that made our birthday celebration so special.
This beautiful abode was home to welcoming furnishings, comfortable, well appointed bedrooms, a lovely kitchen, and a plethora of accessories both necessary and wonderfully extraneous. it was just as fab coming back to the house after a long day of exploring Manuel Antonio as it was relaxing there on slower paced days. Our house manager Alberto went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and secured wonderful day trips and excursions on our behalf. And watching the troops of capuchins was a treat I don't see forgetting anytime soon. A great environment for groups big or small.
We had read about the property in January, February. All reviews were 5 stars. We did not rent a car, driver met us and drove us 2.5 hours to the property. That was wild. Our prop manager/concierge met us at 11:00p to make sure it all went well. The kids immediately grabbed their rooms. Each room is at a different level and each bedroom had their own full bathroom and small TV. There is free internet (use the pool internet). My three children felt they had their own apartment. There is the great view of the ocean (2 mile walk or .75 cent bus ride). Everyone loved relaxing with the monkeys at the small pool out front. The chairs at the pool are always in the shade. Towels are always available for the beach. They have speakers if you want to run music through the kitchen. Send your grocery needs to ALberto ahead of time and they will be waiting for you. This is the key to the house, Alberto. Wait until you get there to schedule your activities through Alberto. He will give you his opinion on what is best to do and set it all up. He makes every effort to make sure you relax. You can use a car to get to one of the beaches if you want, just have to go a rough road. Try all the little restaurants around. Walking on the narrow roads gets a little dicey, but everyone does it. Look, this is a place to relax and enjoy. There isn't a lot to do in the area. The music is good at the restaurants. The house is great, but Alberto is the difference maker. Surfing was great with Dante's, Ziplining was amazing. I don't know whether I would pay that much for the rainmaker jungle tour (didn't see much, could have been an off day). Emilio's was great. Agua Azul had freindly staff, good view, but average food, El Milagro had good food and nice atmosphere, Barba Roja was good with simple food (2 for 1 burrito night), El Wagon was nice for pizza with average service. Don't be nervous, keep in touch early with Alberto. He will take care of everything. Same temp at 8a as it was at 2p. Get's dark at 5:30p to 6:00p. Howler monkeys woke us up every morning. We did not feed the monkey's, but they still come over. The area is hilly and steep. Cook on the grill, go for a walk while the kids sleep, Bring lot's to read, AC has remotes. ASk Alberto to go over where each light switch goes to which light/fan and where all the AC remotes are. Above all sit back and relax!
