Everything was terrific, has a really nice, covered patio and large yard. Only one item we had to adjust for, the BBQ grill propane tank was empty, and we had to bring another one over to cook.
This home was in a perfect location in Mountain Home. We were there to visit a relative in the USAF. It is an older home with 4 bedrooms 2.5 bathrooms. Plenty of room to spread out and a great back yard. Butch was great with communication!
We came for a fishing tournament. This house was great had room for our boat and enough rooms for everyone. Butch was easy to work with. I would recommend this place to anyone.
The property was ideally located within 2 miles of our family's home. We found it spacious and fully furnished. We even found the cooking utensils needed to make a cake for our Mom's 75th birthday. The front room and fire place provided the perfect ambiance for visiting. Butch was attentive to our needs. We will look for this property before a hotel for our next visit to Mtn. Home.
I came to Mt Home AFB, ID to work for 3 months. I found this house because there was no lodging availability on base. It has been great staying here. My orders have been extended and I will continue my stay until I head home. Butch is great to work with. At this moment I'm in a hotel because I had to leave for a few days because there was a prior reservation for this week. Butch was helpful and allowed me to store some of my belongings in a locked closet so I wouldn't have to move everything out. I would recommend the house.
The check in process was easy. The home was very clean. It's a two story home so chances are someone will be staying downstairs. However, that room only has a double bed that was not connected to the headboard. It was very wobbly and not very comfortable for two large adults to sleep in. It also has a skylight with no shade so we were awakened at the literal crack of dawn. Our next option would be a purple room upstairs with a queen & a twin in it. That bed was so hard that I knew I would get no sleep. The next option is a full size futon in the 3rd bdrm and our friends had the 4th bedroom. That room had a ceiling fan which did not work or could not get to work. The home was warm due to the high temps in Idaho but even when we tried to turn down the t-stat for cooler temps it kept reverting back to 76 degrees and that made for a very warm 80+ degrees upstairs. This is probably a great home for the cooler months and I would love to enjoy the large back yard - oh and it needs a new grill outside also.
This rental had great reviews that in combination with its extremely close proximity to my brotherâs home is the reason we chose this rental. The sole purpose was to have a place for our family of 4 to sleep. It was impossible to sleep here due to how hot the home was. The bedrooms were easily 88 degrees and higher most evenings while the HVAC ran constantly. Butch was great in his communication and lowered the thermostat to 67 degrees but it barely brought the bedrooms down to 80. Itâs clear that the HVAC / central air system is insufficient to cool this home in the middle of July. I think this place would be a great place to stay during the fall, winter, and spring seasons but until the AC is fixed I would recommend avoiding during the summer months.
Coffee pot needs replacing, tv remotes too numerous to understand . overall a 4,75 owner called after we had a minor event and was most helpful. nice alternative to a motel. would stay here again. Thanks Butch
This property was within 4.5 miles from our family members home, so it was very convenient and in a nice neighborhood. all necessities were provided and it was comfortable for the number of people we had. Thanks for pleasant stay. We would definitely stay again.
Great house centrally located to everything. The neighborhood is nice and the house was clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend if you are staying in mountain home.
The home was in an excellent location to the air base! The home was spacious and inviting. Butch was wonderful to work with. Only negative was the rainy weather. I think it was the only weekend they will have rain!
Due to a relocation issue, I was unable to book a home in Boise. Luckily, I found this home and Butch was a world class host. The home is spacious, with plenty of seating and beds. The backyard is stunning and spacious. We were able to find comfort in the family room, and also a good nights sleep on the foam mattress. There are a variety of beds that would be great for a large family that needs more than 3 rooms. The kitchen is well laid out, and with a couple more baking pans it would be a great asset. The home is centrally located to the town, local Walmart, and dog park.
If you plan to stay long, Bruneau state park, Shoshone Falls, and DT Boise are all great day trips to have. The town is full of lovely AFB folk that will make you feel like mountain home is your home.
I grew up in Idaho, Retired from the Airforce and settled in beautiful Mountain home. I enjoy the proximity to the mountains, lakes and high desert plateaus. I love to ski, boat, fish, hunt and explore
