Perfect weekend getaway.

Perfect for a relaxing family weekend. The property was very clean and well stocked with essentials. The teenagers enjoyed kayaking on the lake and exploring around the river.

This cabin is our family’s favorite lake vacation spot with its peaceful views, lovely swimming, and canoeing perfection. The owners are thoughtful and quick to help with any issue, and they are continually upgrading their property. The cabin is well stocked with everything you need and the Riverbend community is located in a spectacular natural landscape.

Great for Christmas!

The owners were very kind and accommodating. We stayed for Christmas and they had the whole cabin decorated inside and out, with a Christmas tree. The house was also well stocked with anything we might’ve needed. We would love to stay there again!

Great getaway!

This cabin was a great place to stay while we were in town for a family reunion. The upper back deck was my favorite spot, so comfy & cozy with an amazing breeze. We did have a few hiccups with electrical issues, AC issues, & gate entry but the owners were very friendly & helpful.

Beautiful lake home

This is our second time coming. The home is very clean , the beds are super cozy. The amenities are great and new dock and stairway are beautiful. We love the kayaks and soaking up the sun on the dick while the kids fish or jump into the lake. We wil be back next year .

Wonderful vacation

We loved this property. Loved being right on a small lake with a dock and water toys. We took advantage of the awesome covered decks and game room as we had lots of rain. Very well equipped kitchen and super comfortable beds. Nice relaxing vacation. We will definately be back.

Happy to be back

We have stayed here before and couldn’t wait to come back, and it did not disappoint. Felt like Home from the moment we arrived. Great communication with the host who suggested some different places that we can explore. House has everything you can think of and more. Truly enjoyed the lake and the use of the kayaks and tubes. Feels Like Your Own Private Lake

Excellent location with tons of amenities. House was well stocked and spacious. Private dock provided excellent memories swimming and fishing for the family. 10 minutes to the grocery store and Lake Lure. Highly recommend.

Just what we needed

This cabin is great for a family trip to the lake! So wonderful to have the lake, kayaks and canoe right there. And game room was fun. Beds were comfy and having 3 full bathrooms plus a half bath in loft was a real bonus. Had an amazing time there simply enjoying the views of the lake, wildlife and peace!

Turtle Cove Cabin

We have stayed at Turtle Cove cabin for many summers and always feel so happy to be there overlooking the beautiful lake, swimming and paddling every day and simply relaxing on the cabin’s covered deck with views of the water through the light filled trees. Everything that you would need to enjoy yourself is already there at the cabin and the owners are such thoughtful and responsive people. There is no other place we would rather be in the summer!

Family vacation

Absolutely loved the house and the community that it was in. The house had everything that we could possibly think of to have on vacation. The house had plenty of space for everyone to relax either together or separate. Loved the huge decks and the quietness. The owners were absolutely wonderful!! Just the sweetest! Great stay.

The cabin is extremely spacious. Everything we needed was there or close by. We enjoyed the small dock and the lake view. There was so much to do nearby. Beautiful swimming areas on the lake and a small waterfall on the creek. Great restaurants nearby and a grocery store. The place is only 32 miles from the Biltmore estate and a few minutes from Chimney Rock. We will be back.

Amazing cabin

We enjoyed this cabin so much! It was the perfect spot for our friends and family to gather for our birthdays. My 3 year old was super comfy with all the family friendly games, rafts, floats and life jackets. We loved having our own lake out the back deck for swimming, floating and fishing. The neighborhood also has a private little beach area and a great little river area. It was amazing!!!

Stayed from 8/25/2023 to 9/1/2023. Very nice cabin on the banks of lower Hickory Nut Lake. Plenty of room for a family of six.

Peaceful Pandemic Retreat

We loved staying at this cabin so much during the summer that we returned for a taste of fall. The views from the front porch and the opportunities to paddle and hike were just what we hoped to experience. We even took a short drive to “Apple Valley” near Hendersonville for delicious apples. The owners are very responsive and extremely thoughtful people.

Best relaxing Vacation ever

I had an excellent time with my daughter and grandkids. We enjoyed the cabin so much as well as the dock and water equipment you supplied . Nothing else left to desire . Peace on Little Mirror Lake

We have stayed at this cabin five times in July and plan to come again as it is such a peaceful place where we were often the only ones swimming or paddling the canoe on the lake. The owners are so thoughtful and responsive and the Lake Lure area is unusually beautiful with so many things to do from hiking to gem mining to water skiing. The house is well equipped with all you need for cooking, paddling both a canoe and kayak and games like pool, football and table tennis. We live staying at this cabin, as does our family!

Golden Anniversary in the Mountains

My wife, myself and one of our granddaughters celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. The house was beautiful, very home-like and in a great natural location. We were very impressed how well stock the house was that including everything we needed and more. My wife commented how she had purchased many of the same vases for our home. We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent again. The check in/out process went very smoothly.

Well worth staying at Turtle Cove

The only negative part of our visit was finding a few dirty utensils and cups. The refrigerator notes mentioned trash goes in the dumpster, but it's location wasn't stated. It is adjacent to the security gate where we enter/leave the premises. The property manager is easy to get in touch with and to talk with. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and would recommend others to stay at your property.

Exceeded expections

We were so happily thrilled with this home and it's location. There was plenty of space (more than we needed). The host thought of everything and had everything we could have thought of. We felt as if we were home. Very clean and stocked with everything you could need. The host answered us immediately and was very kind and helpful (we couldn't find the house because we forgot the original instructions) haha Can't wait to visit again!
