The medici is a wonderful place to stay when in the area. I loved this little town and the residents there, so warm and friendly. If I return, I would love to stay here again, they place had everything you need. Its a rarity, but I actually watched a movie after a long day of sight seeing, which is something I never do. There are plenty to places to see, eat & explore. I want to move here!

What a beautiful home in a peaceful and charming little town. We were welcomed with nice treats and gifts. The amenities, bathrooms, kitchen were spacious and nicely renovated. We had all we needed and more. It was the perfect spot to discover Abruzzo and all it has to offer!

Fione was an ABSOLUTE PERFECT GUEST. respectful, friendly and left our home in impeccable condition. Quick on communication and very helpful when we had a little issue to solve. Unfortunately is wrongly rated 2.5 in my review, and I cannot amend it - it should have been 5 stars without a doubt.

It’s very rare that the pictures online don’t do the property justice but that was the case with The Medici Apartment. What a beautiful apartment in a perfect location. The views are spectacular and there is great food in multiple directions within two minutes. I’m not exaggerating. The little supermarket next door has a large selection of products, cafes and bakeries are similarly close. I could go on about the apartment but it has to be seen to be believed. The few questions that I had were responded to immediately. Dirk and Michelle are perfect hosts.

Fantastic place

My family and I had a fantastic stay at this beautifully decorated apartment in the heart of Città Sant'Angelo. The location is perfect—close to the sea and set within a charming, historic commune. The apartment was spotless and thoughtfully furnished, with a fully equipped kitchen that made it easy to prepare meals. Both bathrooms were modern and beautifully designed. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Great home in a wonderful, small, historic village. The owners have done an incredible job of restoring this home. The decor is great. The home has an abundance of space for 4 people. The owners were communicative and helpful. Very highly recommend!!

Great place to be based to explore ABRUZZO. Town is centrally located, safe and authentic with some of the best views in the region. Apartment is on the main street with easy parking and all the services you need. Owners are accessible and very responsive, providing lots of great information that you may need.

Fantastic apartment

Really large apartment in lovely old town. Very quiet and very comfortable. Everything was to an excellent standard, but the best thing was the most amazing view, we loved sitting on the roof terrace. Michelle was incredibly helpful throughout the process. Loads to see and do, easy drive to the beaches. Would recommend.

Great gem of a house!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home that is located directly on the street as photographed below. The host was very responsive and left a complete book of instructions and helpful touristy ideas! We dined at the restaurant next door and it was phenomenal! The listing does not show the rooftop access which provides a beautiful unobstructed view of the mountains. The stair leading to the front door is about 20 steps so if you have heavy suitcases, be prepared! Otherwise, a terrific rental! Would love to stay here again sometime.

Great place!

We loved the uniqueness of this property, renovated in a way that held on to many of the original architecture. Very clear directions for parking and accessing the apartment. Kitchen was well stocked with glasses, plates, etc. and a huge table. The bed in the downstairs bedroom was too hard for us (but that is a matter of preference), our friends found the bed in upstairs bedroom to be fine. Overall a lovely visit.

This apartment, located in the old town, is a charming glimpse into days gone by. The space is huge, with two large bedrooms, baths, dining area, two living spaces, and the best part: the rooftop terrace, which is an impressive place to hang out in the morning or with a glass of wine in the evening. The kitchen is well set up in case you want to cook. The location is close to several bars, shops, restaurants, mini-grocery, and the Belvedere Hotel, which serves food & beverage throughout the day. Parking is right behind the building. Dirk is a fantastic host who communicated well and answered all my questions about stuff to do and locations of things. Citta Sant'Angelo is a very convenient and beautiful location to call home base for exploring the Pescara province.

Perfect little getaway

Property as advertised and then some. Plenty of space to stretch out and relax while the rooftop provided the most serene moments. Well appointed and great for those who choose to cook. A note for future reference, to open the door to the apartment turn the key counter clockwise 2.5 times 😁. Dirk and Michelle were great communicators and helped us every step of the way. The perfect location to enjoy Abruzzo

We had a wonderful time experiencing this beautiful region of Italy for the first time. The house itself has every comfort with views of the sea and mountains. It really is as nice as the photos and does not disappoint. Many personal touches make it a relaxing place from where to experience this village in an authentic way. We really enjoyed the historical points of interest, as well as buying from the local market and shops and then cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. All the information on the area was very helpful and a lunch at il Grottino was a particular highlight. Thank you to the hosts for putting so much care into this accommodation.

Simply wonderful

The Medici Apartment is simply wonderful. Beautiful decorated spacious rooms where you can breathe the history of this space. The tasteful renovation made our stay exceptional. The whole communication with the nice owner was perfect and the whole check in and out was uncomplicated. The surroundings and the village are beautiful. Also a good basis for trips into the mountains and coast. Suggest to visit the Majella National Parc. You can find several great restaurants in the village but we also enjoyed cooking in the great kitchen. We will come back some time!

We cannot say enough positive things about this property. Dirk and Michelle were such great hosts and made the entire process seamlessly and worry free. The property itself is a stunning updated apartment that fit our needs perfectly, the location is exactly what we had hoped for and made it easy and comfortable comfortable to visit with my local family who were also very impressed. I cannot recommend this rental enough and have already passed. The word to my other family who may visit our ancestral homeland. 🙏🙏🙏

Lovely place in a very quiet area

A very relaxing stay with wonderful views and tranquility. Appreciated the minimalistic interior design and the way the character of the old building has been retained. There are plenty of cooking ware in the house and within walking distance several food shops - bakeries, butcher, fresh fish etc etc. Guess the place is much more busy in the summer than in February... The only thing we were missing in the house this time of year was a balcony or terrace facing south where you could have a coffee/breakfast in the sun. But breakfast on the terrace in front of the Ristorante Belvedere, a few steps away, was a very good solution to that request.

Beautiful

Both the apartment and the views were stunning! We had such a lovely time in CSA. The apartment is right in the middle of everything - walked to dinner, drinks, the market, etc. The space was very luxurious and large. We loved sitting around the large kitchen table for coffee and cornettos (purchased at the local pasticceria) where we would plan our day. The hosts had everything laid out with great instructions. Thought parking would be difficult, but ended up being quite easy. They were also extremely responsive to all our questions. We would definitely go back!

Wonderful house

The house is located in a very nice and typical Italian village near the sea ( 15 km) but around 500 meters height. That gives you a nice breeze in summer. There is plenty of space in every room. The kitchen has everything you need, including washing machine and dishwasher. You feel you are in a modern house but at the same time in an old palace. We spent one whole week and between the beach, the national park and the outlet in the near we didn’t get one minute bored. At the house you find a very complete book where you see where to go and what to do. If I could improve the house I would put a small set of drawers to put the clothes upstairs, but there is small closet with hangers. In general everything was very clean and organised. Parking is not a problem even in August. There are big supermarkets not very far and small ones just on the same street. If you have any questions or problem Dirk and Michelle answer within minutes. Super holidays!!!

Medici apartment

Everything about this apartment and location was perfect. The views of the mountains and the sunset are breathtaking. The kitchen is fully stocked whether you want to cook elaborated meal or just have a cup of coffee. This apartment has the modern bathrooms and kitchen while keeping the charm and the originality of the medieval style. Dirk and Michelle left a detailed brochure with explanations of how everything works in the apartment and the places to visit, eat, and some basic education on Italian cuisine and culture. It was very helpful for us. You will step outside and will be in the center of the beautiful town. Everything is within walking distance, literally few steps. People in the village are very friendly and speak enough English (we used google translate and had no problems). Not to mention that the town and the area are very safe. The food is delicious and inexpensive. We got lucky during our stay there was a food and music and dance festival in the town. We got to experience it all but mostly the culture of the local People and we made friends. Will definitely recommend to visit the town and to stay in this apartment. Whoever will be the next guest, you are the lucky one. Thank you Dirk and Michelle.

Appartement très grand mais pas pratique

Aucun accueil à l’arrivée (clés dans un boîtier). Pas de placard dans la chambre parentale pour ranger ses affaires. Propreté douteuse des sols, de la cuisinière et du four. Manque de plats et de poêles pour pouvoir faire à manger. Paiement en £ et retour de la caution tardive. Cependant le cadre est magnifique et le village de Sant’angello ne manque pas de charme.

Hi Danielle, I'm sorry you weren't happy with your arrival; we do make it clear in the pre-arrival booklets sent to all clients on final payment that there is no welcome and this is reflected in the rental price. We also do have a house manager who cleans the apartment before any bookings and she takes great pride in what she does, sorry it wasn't up to your standards, we haven't had any complaints before. I also apologize that you found the kitchen lacking, however we do feel we provide plenty of dishes and cookware, there are many dishes in the central island. I myself am an avid cook and have never found myself at a loss whilst cooking there. I hope you still managed to enjoy your trip. Best, Michelle

La casa è spaziosa, molto carismatica, super accessoriata.La posizione nel pieno centro storico è fantastica, con vista sulle colline meravigliosa e comodissimo parcheggio gratuito a pochi passi. Le informazioni ricevute da Dirk sono state accurate e le risposte gentilissime e rapide.Abbiamo trascorso un piacevolissimo soggiorno alla scoperta dell'Abruzzo: non perdetevi i Calanchi di Atri, Cala Turchino e punta Aderci (anche se distanti circa 45 min.), oppure Rocca Calascio e Scanno (circa 1h.20).La prima settimana (20/7 al 26/07) si è tenuto nel borgo di Città S.Angelo il gemellaggio annuale con la Sicilia che ha animato tutte le sere con la presenza di stand gastronomici, bancarelle varie, gruppi folkloristici e musica dal vivo. Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The Medici Apartment has the most magnificent views from each of the many windows. A lounge window looks straight onto the spire of the ancient cathedral which at night is illuminated making it seem magical. The north side of the house overlooks the beautiful valleys and hills with the Appenine​ Mountains as a backdrop, just spectacular! The icing on the cake is the private roof terrace, which is a sun trap, perfect for sunbathing or an evening aperitivo al fresco, or just to sit and watch the sunset; there is nothing better!
