Casita Barranca a une riche histoire. Construit par Richard Feynman, physicien du prix Nobel de la paix et écrivain à forte lecture, il se trouve sur le flanc d'une falaise surplombant la plage, surplombant l'océan Pacifique. Un escalier privé, partant de deux patios intimistes face à l'océan, permet un accès immédiat à une plage de sable isolée. Grâce aux grandes fenêtres donnant sur l'océan dans tout l'établissement, vous ne manquerez jamais une excellente pause ou un coucher de soleil.

À Casita Barranca, vous n'êtes qu'à quelques pas de l'une des plus belles plages de Baja. Promenez-vous dans les vagues, prenez un bain de soleil, creusez des palourdes, pêchez, construisez des châteaux de sable, nagez, surfez ou montez à cheval sur la plage isolée et romantique de la maison. Les clients bénéficient d'une vue extraordinaire sur l'océan Pacifique depuis cette maison unique en son genre, cachée de la vue dans une communauté fermée. Levers et couchers de soleil spectaculaires peuvent être observés de l'intérieur de la maison, des patios ou de la plage.

Casita Barranca a été récemment rénovée et entièrement rénovée. Les meubles mexicains exquis et les nouveaux appareils, y compris une télévision intelligente pouvant être utilisée pour vous connecter à Netflix et à vos autres comptes multimédias, contribuent à votre confort.

Wonderful stay!

We loved everything about our stay. The home was so cozy and comfortable. The beds were especially comfy! We loved the house itself…all the stonework, windows, and outdoor areas. We fished a lot, took long walks on the beach, cooked all our meals in the well-stocked kitchen, and hung out by the fire. Best part of all, we got to reconnect as a family and enjoy each other outside our busy lives. We did bring our lab who absolutely loves the water. I know he had the best weekend too! Thank you, Casita Barranca. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing house!

We loved the house! the location was fantastic, much more secluded than i was expecting. Hosts were fantastic at communicating and gave us very detailed and helpful instructions. We would love to stay here again!

Amazing View of the ocean

Love this location. Not many people on the beach. The view is priceless and the accommodations were great. Communication was very timely and helpful. Good surf spot out front when the swell is in the right direction.

Beautiful Apartment!

My brother sister and I stayed here for a getaway weekend in Fort Collins, and this place was so lovely! It's a short walking distance from Old Town, and in a super quiet nice neighborhood. Would stay there again :)

Excellent House

This is a very excellent property and the owners are very good and enjoyable. We could not have asked for better. The property's amenities and location are really enjoyable--the beach, the sea, the escarpment with terraces, the home. There is a quiet place for everybody to escape to at once, and cozy front room and kitchen for gathering. The wood stove was very enjoyable. This property does not disappoint.

MOVING MEMORIES… MADE IN MEXICO

We were a group of five friends coming from New York City to say goodbye to one of our mothers who is in hospice in Rosarito. This beautiful and historic home on the beach met us with open arms and healed us everyday. After visits to our mother, we would return to the most beautiful sunsets over the ocean, long walks on the beach under the stars, and the comforts of the house: five-star beds, great kitchen, all steps to the sand. Michael and Amelia are wonderful. I highly recommend their gorgeous property.

This is a perfectly situated home overlooking the beautiful beach and ocean of Playas la Mision. A quick drive away from fabulous food and wine Valle de Guadalupe. Hosts extremely helpful, thoughtful and courteous. we especially enjoyed the firepit beachside.

A magical house

Casita Barranca provided such a magical space for my friend and our little boys’ spring break getaway. We loved cooking in the kitchen and looking down onto the beach being able to see our little guys play and run free. Such a sweet memory for all of us.

Quaint , rustic home with spectacular view

We were 2 couples visiting Baja and needed a place for home base to explore Wineries and restaurants. This rustic home is charming, has nice character and a rich history. It is situated high along a cliff wall overlooking the Pacific ocean. The best part of the house is the magnificent water views and beautiful sunsets from every part of the house! No AC but we didn't need it with the ocean breeze flowing in through windows. The expansive beach which we had almost to ourselves is accessible by a stone (and sometimes steep) staircase. Not recommended for young children , disabled or elderly that can't navigate stairs. House is well equipped, comfortable and wifi worked well. Btw, there isn't a dishwasher but we didn't mind doing our own for the few meals we had since we mostly ate out. The owners are lovely and gave great recommendations to restaurants and info for wineries. The house is safely tucked in a gated community of playa la mission and felt very safe and well located to explore Valle de Guadalupe, Ensenada and Rosarito!! Just a note , the house does not have a washer/dryer so longer stays might be more challenging.

Little Slice of Mexican Paradise

My family of four, including two teenage sons and two dogs, thoroughly enjoyed our six-night stay at Amelia and Michael's lovely beach cottage. I highly recommend it. The home is located in a guarded and gated community. We felt very safe. The trip over the border was easy and the hosts' directions made arriving and entering seamless. Everything was clean and functional. As others have mentioned, the beds were comfortable and beach towels were provided. We brought food for a week and prepared everything either in the kitchen or in the patio grill (we brought our own charcoal) without any problems. We were able to listen to music through speakers by hooking up our iPad. Access to Netflix was also a real plus. There are many outdoor "nooks" for relaxing: two patios, and a little terrace around the firepit. Of course, you don't have to go outdoors to enjoy the surf: you can see and hear the waves crashing from almost every spot in the cottage. The surf was good while we were there (intermediate levels)- bring wetsuits. We enjoyed many long strolls along the quiet shoreline: tidepools, ocean life (including tiny fish, sand dollars, a sea star, numerous diving pelicans and dolphin pods), and occasionally dogs frolicking in the sand and waves. We had some concerns about crossing the border, but Amelia was exceptionally accessible to answer all of my questions. While I felt we had tons of privacy and solitude, we really enjoyed running into Amelia and Michael and getting to know them one evening. They take pride in their home and are excellent hosts. I truly cannot wait to return one day!

I love the history of this house. Richard Feynman was the original owner and his aura is still present. No wonder Mr. Feynman came to this lovely Baja Retreat whenever he could. This unique beach retreat gives me harmony and peace whenever I am here. Richard Feynman’s spirit is still living on.
