Very nice property in relaxing location! Greatly enjoyed the proximity to Gettysburg and other area attractions while having a quiet spot to come back to. Perfect size for four adults and two kids.
The house was everything it said very quaint, quiet, and good for a family. All the beds are comfortable with plenty of hot water. My only caution would be that the kitchen isn't equipped for major meal fixing if that's something you are preparing.
Loved this old farm house, modern kitchen, clean and comfortable furniture. Very quiet area, great back yard and front porch to wind down on. Littlr pond across the road. Everything as described and great communication with the owner. Would love to stay here again. Only 20 minutes from Gettysburg.
We had a great stay. The girls were able to have the upstairs to themselves like a little apartment. They loved the pool table as well. Highly recommendWill be using again
We really like the house that we stayed in for our trip. There was 6 of us, almost all of us over 60. The kitchen was very modern, the dining room fit us all, the living room was a little small but we made it work. The bedrooms were all very nice with extremely comfortable beds
This property is a good location for seeing many Gettysburg attractions. Parking can be a little challenging but can made to work. The essential items are there but not abundant, need more towels and drinking glasses. The futons were not good for overnight sleeping especially for anyone other than children. There is not a lot of things to do in the evenings so outdoor/porch seating would be nice especially since the back yard was great. The kitchen is nice but the number of pots and pans is limited. The house is great for guys trip that it was but not sure if it would work for a family with kids.
The house is perfect for a trip to Gettysburg. Clean, well laid out, everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Easy check in/out and very helpful hosts. We will definitely be staying here again.
The house was comfortable with spacious rooms. Loved the large kitchen great for cooking a meal or just hanging out with a bottle of wine and apps after a day of exploring in the orchards and small towns. The host provided good info and
responded right away to our inquiries.
Lovely stay and a very nice location. Close to Gettysburg and surrounding sites. Very clean, great beds and quanit home. Wonderful to see families fishing on small lake across the street. My family and I had a wonderful time.
We brought our grandson with us to visit the Gettysburg sites. That experience was wonderful, but so was having a fishing hole across the street. The house was comfortable and quiet. The countryside was gorgeous on our rides to and from town.
Our hosts were very accommodating and friendly.
Overall we had a nice stay in this cozy home. Super cute house, upstairs set up w/2 bedrooms, loft and a very large bathroom. This worked out well with my 3 young adult kids and their friends. Pool table in basement was a pleasant surprise. It is about a 15 minute drive to any store/restaurant. check-in was at 4:00 we arrived around 4:20 and cleaning lady was still there. The 1st floor bedroom (queen) mattress is not very comfortable, my kids said the other beds were great. Walls are very thin, we could hear everything, but it is an older home and to be expected.
This house was perfect for my 4 sisters and me. Close to tourist attractions and yet private. The creek running close by was relaxing. Would stay again if I had the opportunity .
We loved the feel of the home. It was in the most quiet setting. The kitchen was modern and well equipped. The only thing that kept us from a perfect rating was the downstairs bathroom. We are seniors and it was difficult for us to maneuver the tub and the toilet. All else was perfect.
Smooth process. Good communication with the host. Unique property with a lot of character. Convenient location for the area golf courses and an easy drive to Gettysburg.
This was nice for what we needed... a quiet place to unplug and just relax for a week. There's not much around - just a pond across the street that you can walk around and possibly fish in - you'll need to drive about 10-15 min to get to a grocery store, and of course, all that is Gettysburg. But if you're like us and wanted a quiet respite away from everything, this is perfect. And there are some trails 5-10 min away for some hiking, so that was nice. The basement where the pool table is located, as well as the back porch, could use just a little attention, but the house itself is clean and comfortable and we had no problems sleeping :-) We spent a lot of time around the dining table playing board games. And the kitchen was large enough that all four of us could actively participate in the preparation of meals, which was also nice. All in all, it was just what we needed.
This house is brimming with charm, is bigger than it looks in photos. We enjoyed a beautiful week in Gettysburg, and it was hot! How nice to return to a cool and comfortable house in the evenings!
The kitchen is spacious and beautiful. Our family enjoyed cooking breakfasts and dinners together. The biggest frying pan is cast iron, and if you arenât used to that or know how to properly season it, maybe bring your own. I also didnât see a crockpot, but we had brought one. As noted in other reviews (and as the owner admits) there are ants. If you keep the area clean and crumb free (including the placemats), itâs not a problem.
The pool table was a hit with my teen-age son and young adult childrenâthey played pool every evening. We never made use of the nice back yard area with the fire pit, and my husband did a little fishing across the road, but mostly we enjoyed the comforts inside. (Do bring your camp chairs if you want to make use of the fire pit.) The beds and living room furniture were comfy. My kids all remarked on that. The downstairs bathroom is a bit of a tight fit, but very clean. The upstairs bathroom is spacious and awesome!
We are used to country living and preferred this location outside the Gettysburg bustle. We watched deer come out in the evening and enjoyed the orchards and countryside; the drive into Gettysburg never seemed long. This was our most favorite rental home to date.
My 2 sister snd I took my mom on a weekend trip. Everything was perfect just like the description says. The bedroom on the main level was a bonus since my mom is 75 and hard for her to climb stairs. The house was so clean and was decorated perfect the beds and sofa so comfortable. The kitchen is hugh and so much storage. We didnt cook but the kitchen is perfect for cooking and so spacious with everything you would need. They even left us snacks. It was so breath taking to see the sun come up from the lake across the street my boys already tryinh to plan a trip when i showed them pictures so they can go fishing. We definitely will stay again if ever in PA eeverything was comforti
This house is out in the country but yet we were able to visit Gettysburg easily. Large kitchen with all you need and three good size bedrooms. Well kept and clean. Huge bathroom on the second floor. Owner provided great suggestions for places to eat and drink. Would stay here again.
My wife and I chose this property because it is the perfect retreat but it is also very close to all the events that Gettysburg and Ski Liberty have to offer.
