This is such a great place to stay. Dave is such a nice guy and very down-to-earth. The home has everything you need. Such a beautiful spot to wake up to see deer roaming around, walk to the water, and see turtles, beavers, and fish.
We just returned home and are already missing this peaceful slice of paradise. Our family has been vacationing in the Glen Lake area since the 1980s, and we all agreedâWally and Janeâs home is our absolute favorite. The location is perfect: quiet, scenic, and right on the water. Our family loved heading out every morning in the kayaks to fish and explore, including seeing a family of otters! The home itself is spacious, incredibly well cared for, and comfortably accommodated everyone in our group. We especially enjoyed cooking meals together each evening, enjoying the spacious decks and fire pit.Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality and for sharing your beautiful home with us. Weâre already looking forward to coming back!
We loved this house! Some of the furniture has been updated since the photos were taken which was a nice surprise. The location was perfect for us. Would love to come back!
Great Place to stay close to Glenn Arbor and the Dunes!
We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was spacious and very clean. The three beds in the loft definitely helps give more sleeping space for six adults.
We had a wonderful time! The location is amazing, close to town and on the water. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. We would definitely stay again!!
Great location to the dunes, easy check-in, nice house for the most part. The master bedroom windows facing the lake have no shades & itâs a bit creepy & being on vacation we didnât want to wake up with the sun. The lighting in Master has bright spotlights that shine directly in your eyes. We were disappointed that the small lake is actually a bog.No instructions, except for WiFi written on a napkin. Overall it was ok, but we thought it might feel a bit more high end as we had hoped for, on our wedding anniversary.
House was within 30 minutes of all Sleeping Bear Dunes attractions (great location) Our kids loved going to the winerys and my husband and I loved being able to kayak out to Glen Lake. Fire pit was great we enjoyed it every night and were able to cook our meals on the blackstone grill. very nice yard and dock that we could launch our kayaks from. House was much nicer than described. Air conditioning is only in the bedrooms. It was cool in the evenings so that wasn't a problem for us. Would definitely stay there again. We had 6 adults.
There's a part of me that doesn't want to give this a good review because this could always be a secret place. However, I have much respect for Dave. This place was absolutely amazing. It was so quiet and relaxing. My favorite part was going to the water's edge with my coffee in the morning and just sitting there, enjoying nature. So calm, so peaceful, absolutely amazing. This house is perfect for anyone who just wants to get away and relax. It has a full kitchen with everything you could ever need. There's so much space that you will never feel "on top" of each other. I truly highly recommend this rental; it's truly a needle in a haystack.
Although it was listed as having A/C only the bedrooms had individual AC units. One of the units needed repairs to the vent tube, which I did with foil.
House was big and comfortable otherwise. The kitchen amenities were nice. The house included some toilet paper and washing machine supplies and dishwasher supplies. The bed were really nice.
The last houseguest left a high-quality butcher knife in the dishwasher, which rusted. Bummer!!

Beautiful place
Overall our experience was very nice. It's a very beautiful place and setting. We enjoyed ourselves despite the fact that we were there for a wedding which we needed an iron, it was listed but we couldn't find one. When I contacted the host I was told there wasn't one. It's a very expensive area and I was told that the hardware store might have one. Luckily they did. When we contacted the host about the incovenience of having to purchase an iron there was no response. On Sunday night I sent a message to the host asking for reimbursement for the cost of the iron and offered to leave the iron. Finally on Monday morning, after not hearing back from the host since Friday morning, I was told to leave my address with them and they would mail me a check. I left the iron in good faith and it's been over 2 weeks and I have not received a check from them.
Our stay was great. We enjoyed spending time hanging out in the backyard. You might want to update the pictures of the house, we were pleasantly surprised. Nice job and a lovely house for people to have a fun get away.
The house was fully loaded with everything you need to cook at the house. It's backyard was amazing and we saw all sorts of animals. It's close to Glen Arbor and all the dune trails. Great communication with owners!
This property is delightful. The back deck is beautiful and huge. The house is lovely and was perfect for three couples. We each had a room with a king size bed. There is a staircase to a loft from one of the bedrooms with 2 double beds and 1 queen size bed. We did not use them, but could be great for kids. Our bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. The owners were just up the hill and very nice and responsive. They did not leave a huge list of rules like so many other rentals do. It was nice to be trusted to behave. The kitchen was very well equipped. I would definitely stay there again!
The location is great being close to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Lake Michigan, rivers for kayaking, hiking, wineries, Glen Arbor and Traverse City.
We stayed here with 3 generations and all loved this property. The deck and yard were our favorite places to be. My kids were enamored with the loft with 3 beds (not pictured so they were pleasantly surprised upon arrival). The loft up from the bedroom could be strange but Grandma enjoyed sharing that space with the kids. The kitchen was nicely stocked and a nice place for breakfast. The beds were comfy and there was lots of closet/storage space. The giant TV's were super handy on our rainy day or late at night. By far our favorite was putting our kayaks in the lake that connects to Big Glen Lake. Made the trip.
We were coming from Ohio and looking for something different to do, this was a beautiful home and exactly like was described! Our whole family loved the great view and back patio! We were so close to a lot of different towns and the beach! This is a wonderful place and we would definitely come back again!
The house was not clean - the coffee maker and oven were dirty. Both toilets were loose at the base. The overhead lighting was poor. There were no blinds, except one bedroom, including a bathroom, the master bedroom and living room. Granted we were in an isolated location, but it would be nice keep the sunlight out. Response time was very poor. The first message after arrival took 18 hours to respond and the 2nd one was never answered! That being said, the deck was awesome with lots of chairs and table space. The views were awesome. The beds were comfy and there was lots of space in the house.
