The location of this cabin is great, with beautiful views off the decks. As other reviewers have mentioned the kitchen is very small— it’s a 2 butt kitchen and we had too many butts in it! 🤣 however the spaces for sleeping outweighed the inconvenience of a smaller kitchen. Just use the grill for cooking and that solves the indoor cooking. The front of the house looks like an A-frame and worried me at first because I thought it looked small, but once in the house it was fun to explore the larger spaces on different levels accessed by pretty spiral staircases. The house is literally built on the side of a fairly steep hill which allows for full views off the back of the house on every level. We noticed from the loft that you can see a taller mountain behind the ones that are visible from other levels. There was outdoor seating available for 6 on the upper deck and a table with 6 chairs in the dining area. Nice ceiling fans in every room, including the kitchen . The only issues we had was there was no dishwashing liquid to use for hand washing dishes, but the dishwasher worked well. The downstairs rooms were much cooler than the upper levels, so the hot natured in the family slept downstairs and the cooler natured slept upstairs. We had 9 adults in our party and all fit comfortably. When I saw it was 1600 sq. ft. I was concerned but I think since the layout of the house is on 3 levels it felt roomier than 1600 sf on one level. We all had a wonderful time and recommend this cabin as a place for a family weekend. And be sure to spend time in my favorite place— the upper deck!
Nice place for 3 families to share
Three families from our church stayed here over the weekend. Nice place to stay, descriptions in other reviews were accurate and the cabin was a nice place to stay, great location, and the snow was great for skiing this weekend!
Thank you so much for choosing to stay at our cabin. We are glad that you found it comfortable for your visit. Hope you made many happy memories while vacationing in Angel Fire.
We got what we expected, plus more.
Start off with, parking is very small, but manageable. Property is on the side of a slope so not really a flat play/hangout area outdoors, except the parking area. Kitchen is on the small side for multiple families, but possible and has everything you need.
It was 3 families, 6 adults and 4 teen boys. Beautiful and quiet neighborhood, nicely secluded lot. Entrance is on middle of 3 floors. Walk into a mud room (our storage area) at the entrance of the house. You have a nice queen bed room to the left as you walk into the kitchen. Small but adequate
bathroom is next to living area. Back of house is the living room with high vaulted ceiling. Back deck offers great views and a grill to cook on. Third floor is the nook with 2 queen beds. A spiral staircase connects all floors in the center of the house. Bottom floor offers king bedroom, a kids room containing bunks and a full elevated bed, quiet cute. Washing maching/drier has a room down there along with a room bathroom. Both bedrooms have a connecting patio.
This was a great find and served our purposes fine. Would have no problem staying again.
