Perfect countryside escape

The house is amazing, has everything you could wish for, perfect for our group of 6 adults and 6 children (1-8 years old).

Propriéte calme et pleine de charme

Belle et grande propriété. Beaucoup de charme. Un equipement sanitaire de qualité et une très belle piscine . Il faut toutefois preciser que la propriété est totalement ouverte et laisse donc un accés libre aux chiens du voisinage ( jardin et piscine) et que si Kate et Pete sont bien aimables, il n y a aucun accueil, ni interlocuteur sur place . Un petit effort supplementaire sur le nettoyage serait le bienvenu..c est vrai que la maison est bien grande et il y a beaucoup de recoins !!! Némoins, nous avons passé un trés bon séjour en famille ( 7 adultes et 6 enfants de 3 à 13 ans )

Perfect spot for a family break

We stayed as a family of 14 (two 70+, 6 other adults and 6 kids aged 2-12). The property is beautiful and spacious, the kids particularly enjoyed the dormitory style room upstairs! The pool is glorious and the garden has lots of space and shady eating areas. The location is beautiful and so peaceful. It was a 10 min drive to St Alvere or Vergt for shops and restaurants - and while it would’ve been lovely to be able to walk to somewhere for pastries in the morning, the trade off for the quiet location was worth it. Great communication with friendly owners and lots of helpful recommendations for places to visit and eat / drink locally. Great selection of games and outdoor activities for all ages, perfect for the occasional grey / thundery day.

Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances !! La maison est magnifique et il y avait pleins de choses à faire aux alentours. Tout était parfait!

Très jolie propriété

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cette maison aménagée avec goût et offrant tout le confort nécessaire. Idéale pour un séjour en famille et au calme. Kate et Peter ont été à notre écoute et très réactif. Seul petit regret : l'eau laiteuse de la piscine pendant tout le séjour et l'absence d'eau chaude pendant deux journées (mais finalement rétablie grâce à l'intervention de l'homme d'entretien à la demande de Kate). Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Country farmhouse

The property was spacious and comfortable for a group of people. A nicely restored farmhouse in the country. Well equipped for cooking and entertaining. Lovely outdoor dining and pool areas. Smells a bit musty and there were no hand towels or dish towels provided. Nearest villages were 15 minutes drive and most attractions were no more than an hour. Kate and Pete were very quick to solve the problems we had.

Lovely house and area

We had a great stay at this property, very spacious and set in lovely grounds. Pool is great and the surrounding area is beautiful. Communication with Kate was very good, she responded to any queries and gave us good recommendations for a canoeing trip and local restaurants. We had some issues with the plumbing but think that is to be expected in an old property. Any issues were dealt with quickly. Property was well equipped and clean. All in all a lovely stay.

Stunning property, highly recommended,

Stayed here to celebrate my 40th birthday with family members of 9 Adults and 3 children. Abundance of room for us all to spread out and bags of room to get together. Pictures on listing don’t do it justice. Beautiful views, villa well stock with things to do. Communication with owners very easy, with swift replies. Had glorious weather so pool was well used, plenty of space for all of us. Grandchildren loved having use of bikes, as did some of the adults. All in all, highly recommended. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you.

A wonderful stay - could not have been more perfect!

We celebrated a big wedding anniversary with lots of friends coming to stay. The house works brilliantly for lots of people . There is space in all sorts of weather - but we were blessed with sunshine! The pool is fantastic - beds are all super comfy (something all our guests commented on - good quality and look beautiful!) I did lots of the cooking and the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need. There are 2 fridges which meant the rosé and the beer had their own! Even the tap water tastes delicious. Lots of great places to eat - a short drive away - and vineyards to visit - the house guide book in the kitchen from Kate & Pete gives you all the details which is super helpful. Can’t recommend the house and the whole location highly enough. I miss it badly now we are back.

3 Generational Family Holiday!

What a lovely farmhouse this is and in a great position with wonderful views. We were a family party of 15 - 8 adults and 7 children whose ages ranged between 6 years and 6 months. The house had enough space for all of us and its spacious garden has two separate areas so there was always a place for anyone who wanted some quiet time! We never felt on top of one another. The swimming pool was gorgeous and kept very clean by Pascal. On arrival the house was very tidy and clean and we enjoyed the bottle of wine left for us! Pascal and his wife Brigitte who look after the house were charming and helpful. We had wonderful weather throughout our stay and when not using the pool enjoyed forays to the rivers and local markets. We also had two great canoe trips down the Dordogne river. A truly wonderful two week holiday in the very well equipped holiday home. We would definitely love to return one day.

Lovely house in a lovely and private environment. The house is extremely charning, the kitchen is fantastic, the gardens are fit and equiped for family activities and the swimming pool is very proper. Communication with owners was useful and improved the positive stay even further. Very well recommended!!

A perfect stay exceeding expectations.

Kate's property is absolutely beautiful, the photos really don't do it justice. A huge amount of space to easily accommodate all guests indoors and out. The interior design is spot on with chic, understated furniture and a very well equipped kitchen, outside the sprawling gardens ensure maximum privacy for the huge pool with plenty of seating and lounging options. We will definitely be returning in the future!

WOW!

I stayed in this gorgeous house with my whole family (9 adults + 4 kids) and it more than exceeded our expectations. The house had everything we needed and more which made our stay so comfortable. The large pool was perfect for the kids to splash around in the day with lots of pool floats and enough loungers for the adults to drink a cocktail on! I had the pleasure of staying in the master bedroom which was simply stunning with original exposed beams and a freestanding bath. Saying that all bedrooms either had views of the garden or pool which was so lovely to wake up to. There are lots of things to occupy the kids, badminton, ping pong, slackline, football, cricket, bikes etc with no danger of cars zooming past as the lane is so quiet and peaceful. I can honestly say have never stayed anywhere so beautiful where so much thought and care has gone into its design. The only disappointment was the weather but think we just hit a dud week. Lucy x

The whole family had a wonderful time in this beautiful farmhouse set in rolling French countryside

The house is even better than the pictures, much larger than I expected and is furnished to a very high standard. Everything had been thought through by the owners to make this a perfect holiday. All the equipment that you could need was there both for inside the house and outside. Some of the time we just enjoyed looking at the house as it had so many attractive features. The pool was a huge hit with the children as were all of the other games equipment ranging from football to badmington and table tennis. The grounds were extensive yet we didn't lose anyone as keeping an eye on small children can be a problem. Again, the grounds had been carefully constructed so there's were different areas to supervise. We loved the lavender and the plums. The sleeping arrangements worked very well especially the dormitory for the children. The adults also faired very well with very large bedrooms on the different levels. The kitchen was fantastic as was the eating area outside. In short, this really was the perfect place for us - a family of eight adults and six children. I would love to return at some point in the future and will be recommending the property to friends and family. FInally, the owners were really incredibly helpful at every stage of the booking process. Thank you very much indeed.

Prachtige woning voorzien van alle gemakken. In een woord: een plaatje!!

Oude, gerestaureerde boerderij, schitterend gelegen in een mooie omgeving, met een prachtige ruime tuin, een perfect zwembad voorzien met alles wat daarbij hoort en past, in huis erg veel ruimte in de woonkamer en aangrenzende keuken, smaakvol ingericht en ook hier voorzien van alle benodigde apparatuur. Ook de slaapkamers, ruim en perfect en al weer voorzien van goede bad en douchegelegenheid. Voor iets oudere mensen is het aan te bevelen te zorgen voor "wat" comfortabele eetkamerstoelen. Alles samengevat: Een meer dan fastastisch vacantieverblijf waar wij ontzettend van hebben genoten en veel plezier hebben beleefd. En wat ook belangrijk is, het weer was voortreffelijk

Stunning house in beautiful countryside with beautiful gardens and pool

We holidayed here for a week in late July. The owners could not have been more helpful and the house is really lovely. Amazingly well equipped home with beautiful mature gardens filled with lavender. We were all adults and found it utterly relaxing but there is plenty to do for more active people and children. Stunning walks and villages, markets and lovely places to eat although eating dinner in the garden in the evening was perfect. Thanks so much Pete and Kate
