Tranquility Carriage House fait partie d'un domaine de 9,5 acres avec accès à 1 000 pieds de quai et d'un quai en eau profonde privé sur Frenchman's Bay à seulement 5 minutes de Bar Harbor et du parc national d'Acadia. Partez à la plage sur nos 2 plages rocheuses privées du Maine avec vue sur la baie jusqu'à Schoodic moutian et Bar Harbor, ou promenez-vous sur l'un des nombreux sentiers naturels le long du rivage à travers les jardins et autour de deux étangs. Il y a aussi un terrain de pétanque et un terrain de croquet et de grandes pelouses ouvertes pour vos activités de plein air. La maison de transport est l'un des deux chalets disponibles sur le domaine de la tranquillité avec de la place pour 6 adultes - 3 chambres, 3 salles de bain complètes.

Incredible property!

Our family loved this beautiful rental property. It is a phenomenal location with beautiful grounds. My kids loved exploring the rocky beach, playing croquet and bocce ball, and playing tag in the yard. The house was perfect for our needs and fully stocked, which was so welcoming and helpful! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful!!!

The house was very comfortable and had a great kitchen. The best part though was the large grounds. It is part of a larger estate and we loved exploring the gardens and rocky beaches. So wonderful!

Heaven on earth!!

We could not have had a better place to enjoy our week in BH! The house was clean, well equipped, and very comfortable. The grounds were like on a grand estate, with so many different flowers! There was even a cutting garden by our rental. Upon arrival fresh flowers were placed in the house, various lamps were turned on for a homey atmosphere. Our pups really enjoyed the yard and the waterfront! We hope to return some day! Thank you for offering your beautiful estate to visitors from Alabama.

Perfect Maine Vacation

The carriage house was perfect for our family of four (and could comfortably fit another adult couple or child too). From the moment we walked in the house we noticed all the welcoming touches and overall cleanliness. We thoroughly enjoyed the front screened porch - perfect for morning coffee and evening deer watching! The property grounds were amazing and gave us the peaceful getaway from the southern heat we were looking for. Tranquility Carriage House is on our favorite rental property list and we will recommend it to our family and friends!

A complete dream

Like many other renters have said, the pictures just scratch the surface of the beauty of the grounds and waterfront. There were endless places to sit to watch hummingbirds, deer, and I won’t spoil the surprise with other species. Early morning before 8 am and dusk are the best times to see creatures! The waterfront dock and the various beaches were stunning and always had picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, etc, to enjoy them. The house itself was spacious, comfortable, and had every single thing we needed. 10 minutes from bar harbor and from the Acadia entrance - the location couldn’t be beat. We discovered the Trenton lobster pound which we highly recommend, and Siam Gardens in Bar Harbor too. Lee was easy to get in touch with if we had questions. The scenery was unforgettable. We brought kayaks and took them out a few times - highly recommended if you like that diet of things!

Perfection!

This was the most beautiful property we have ever stayed. The carriage house was so clean and fully stocked with everything you could possibly think of. The grounds of the house were breathtaking. The full garden and oceanfront access were the icing on the cake. Watching from the screened porch was an animal sanctuary ... turkeys, deer, chipmunks ... I don’t have enough words to describe how wonderful it was to spend a week at Tranquility. My family will definitely be back!

Perfect family compound

From the fresh cut flowers in each room from their own cutting garden to the beautiful dock jutting into Frenchmen’s Bay Tranquility is just that. Honestly the pictures don’t do it justice and I hesitate to tell anyone about this place because I want to keep it for my self and family !

Tranquility is a beautiful home and close to the surrounding activities - bar harbor and Acadia!

The house is very comfortable and peaceful. It has everything you could need - I’ve never stayed at such a generously-equipped home. The flowers in each room are beautiful. The property is secluded and lovely. The owners were extremely accommodating. I highly recommend this property!

Truly Tranquility

We had the most lovely stay at Tranquility Gatehouse! The owners are very generous with their entire property - when they say you are welcome to enjoy it all, they truly mean it. We very much enjoyed the gardens, the croquet & bocci ball, and especially the private rocky beach. Inside, the owners have thought of everything - we honestly could not think of one amenity they are lacking, from the well-stocked, user-friendly kitchen to ample linens to fresh flower arrangements in almost every room upon arrival! Sally was great to work with - very attentive and thorough. It was such a peaceful getaway after the hustle & bustle of Bar Harbor in July. We highly recommend a stay at this beautiful property.

So beautiful and relaxing!

My family of 5 stayed at Tranquility Carriage House for a week. The house is just beautiful. There was plenty of space for everyone to lounge indoors. My favorite spot was the screened-in porch. So quiet and protected, even in the rain. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, pots, pans etc. One of the bathrooms is quite large and the other 2 are more modest, but all functioned well. Lots of towels, bar soap and hand soap were provided. The grounds (about 9 acres) are also gorgeous and private There are lawns, flower gardens, ponds and pine woods. You can walk to the ocean, onto a floating dock. From there you can see Bar Harbor and islands in the cove. The location was perfect for us. It was just a 5 to 10 minute drive to Bar Harbor, even with the ongoing construction on Route 3. There are a couple of very good places to eat in the opposite direction (Mainely Meats, Sweet Pea's and Mom's Kitchen), so you don't always need to go to town. The park entrance is even closer than town. We found Tranquility to be an ideal home base from which to enjoy Acadia and all of Mount Desert Island. It was such a pleasure to return to this peaceful oasis after an active day! I very highly recommend Tranquility.

Tranquility is a wonderful place to stay

We rented both the Gate and Carriage house for a family vacation - couldn't have been a more perfect set-up! We were 5 couples - so having enough bedrooms with full-size or larger beds was great! Both houses are wonderfully furnished - especially loved the fresh flowers from the gardens. The Gate house was the main gathering place for our family- there was plenty of room for everyone and had a marvelous kitchen! The grounds are impeccable - we enjoyed all the amenities on the property - the fire pit, bocce ball, volleyball, and fishing from the dock! This was our first trip to Maine - very close to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor. The free island shuttle even dropped us off right at the end of the street that the property is on! Couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to hold our annual family summer vacation - Look for our "Warden Maine Event" rock in the entry basket! Sally did a wonderful job coordinating the logistics and was super helpful and welcoming! I'd highly recommend considering Tranquility for your next stay in Bar Harbor

Tranquility: more than expected; aptly namex

Arriving through the woods to spacious lawn and a charming cottage was visual tonic to our extended family. It just looked comfortable at first sight. My wife was hooked by the fresh flowers in every room; my daughter by the generous bedroom apart from her teenagers; and the boys by the acres and beaches to explore. The property's descriptions were accurate...perhaps even "Mainer" understated. The décor a tasteful blend of old stone and reclaimed wood, and contemporary fixtures. Ample space for the inevitable rainy hours inside. The grounds were clearly cared for by family, and featured meandering paths along garden and natural plantings. Four miles to Arcadia Park; and additional 5+ miles into Bar Harbor itself proved close enough to be easily accessible without sacrificing the richly deserved Tranquility moniker. We highly recommend this delightful place in this charming area! And a tip of the hat to Sally Black who proved to be as gracious as she was professional in her realtor relationship!

Retreat in perfect location

This home, along with the Gate House and the 2-bedroom apartment over the garage, served as the location for our week-long family reunion. The buildings and grounds are a retreat in and of themselves. All 24 of us agree that our only regret is that we were so active during our stay that we didn't spend nearly enough time just enjoying this property. Next time we would plan to spend more evenings at 'home' playing lawn games and enjoying the amazing gardens and grounds. The location of this property is perfect - close to the Hull's Cove entrance to the park for endless hiking, biking and climbing; close to town for the inevitable trips for ice cream; and close to access to the south end of the island without going through town. The owners and managers of this property were friendly and accommodating and treated us like extended family coming for a visit. This is one of the best vacations we've ever had and we would return here in a heartbeat.
