Waterfront Cottage sur le lac Muldrew, Muskoka

Cette belle escapade de vacances capture l'essence de Muskoka. Il dispose d'un beau chalet avec une vue imprenable sur le lac et un accÚs facile à l'eau sur une propriété boisée privée avec 150 pieds de façade sur l'eau. Parfait pour nager, faire du bateau et se détendre en famille!

Le chalet offre une vue panoramique spectaculaire au sud-ouest sur le lac. C'est un concept Ă  aire ouverte avec de hauts plafonds voĂ»tĂ©s en cĂšdre, des murs en pin et d'Ă©normes fenĂȘtres donnant sur le quai et le lac. La cuisine entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e est ouverte sur le coin repas et comprend un lave-vaisselle, un grand rĂ©frigĂ©rateur, un four micro-ondes, une cafetiĂšre et un distributeur d'eau potable. Un poĂȘle Ă  bois Ă©tanche Ă  l'air est dans le coin du coin salon et est dĂ©licieux les soirĂ©es plus fraĂźches.

La belle chambre principale surplombe le lac et a un débrayage sur une terrasse privée. Il a un coin salon et une salle de bains avec baignoire et douche. La deuxiÚme chambre au niveau principal a également un débrayage vers une terrasse privée et la troisiÚme chambre au rez-de-chaussée a des lits jumeaux parfaits pour les enfants. La quatriÚme chambre a des lits superposés et est au niveau inférieur adjacent à une salle familiale avec un débrayage à l'eau et une salle de bain complÚte avec buanderie.

Il y a une trÚs grande terrasse surplombant le lac avec un ensemble de patio pour les repas de famille et un barbecue au propane. Hors du pont est une grande salle entiÚrement blindée dans Muskoka avec un ensemble de patio et une table, parfaite pour les repas en famille ou pour se détendre entre amis ou un bon livre.

Un autre point fort de cette propriĂ©tĂ© est la variĂ©tĂ© d'endroits intĂ©rieurs et extĂ©rieurs que les gens peuvent choisir d'aller, par exemple, pour ĂȘtre avec des groupes d'amis, ou pour profiter de conversations et d'activitĂ©s plus calmes comme jouer aux cartes, ou pour passer du temps seul Ă  travailler tranquillement sur un puzzle. Des chaises longues sont fournies sur le pont du chalet et le quai au bord de l'eau pour se dĂ©tendre ou faire une sieste au soleil.

La baignade est fantastique! Le lac est profond Ă  droite du quai et peu profond de la zone de promenade plate sĂ©parĂ©e. La pĂȘche est Ă©galement excellente - il suffit de trouver les endroits secrets ...

Paradise on Muldrew lake

Another excellent vacation on Muldrew lake in a beautiful cottage. Our three generation family of 8 enjoyed all amenities as well as swimming and kayaking.The cottage is as described and we appreciate the cleanliness. We hope to return next year for our 6th season and continue to build wonderful family memories.

Amazing spot, beautiful stay

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful cottage! It was clean, there was so much space, and the fact that the water was relatively deep off the dock made for some awesome swimming! The sunset views from the dock were stunning, and the gated off deck was perfect for our pup. If you are looking for shallow swimming this isn’t the best spot - but the swimming for us was perfect!!!! We will definitely look to come back. Host was also very responsive. Cottage itself was lovely and we loved the screened part of the deck for the one rainy night we got. There was a spot for everything!

Excellent property

The cottage was very good My family of 6 adults and 2 children under 8 were very happy with everything The cottage was very spacious and had lots of room to take some time for yourselves or to gather with all quests The screened in porch was amazing for that time of the day when the bugs were out We even caught some big fish right off the dock Over all the week was fantastic

Gravenhurst Gem!

Our experience at Martin’s cottage was nothing less than spectacular. From the spacious and numerous sitting areas (cards and games around the kitchen table, meals on the deck, sunny afternoons on the dock, protection from evening mosquitos in the screened in porch), to the fully stocked kitchen, to the magnificent dockside view of Muldrew Lake, this cottage did not disappoint! Martin was quick to respond to emails and the check in process was very smooth. My only hesitation in leaving such a glowing review is that this won’t be our family’s little secret anymore! :) Thank you for a wonderful stay and we hope to return again.

Wonderful Week

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in every way and will try to rent it again next summer. The only problem we had was with VRBO. I had been looking on a Site "Ontario Cottage Rentals" VRBO seeing that, came to me. After I had chosen this cottage on the VRBO site I was shocked to find out the price was in US $s when I rec'd my MC statement. You need to indicate what currency you are dealing in. I would naturally assume that the price was in Canadian! I won't use VRBO again because of this.

Great view of fall colours!

We stayed at Martin’s place in October so can’t comment about swimming or shade availability. We can tell you that the primary cottage living space is on the second floor (kitchen,dining, living, 3 berms, 2 baths and access to deck and Muskoka room) and that this elevation is great for a view of the water and trees. Heat works well, water pressure in showers great but not in kitchen sink. Internet is spotty and listing does say this. Could have been issue for some of our family if we were there for more than a long weekend. We had our dogs w us and they loved the space in front of the cottage (long driveway) but didn’t like fact there wasnt shallow water access (worked for us because wet dogs in October is an issue unto itself). All in all, a great stay. What was read in listing was what was received.

Holiday visit

The kitchen was large and stocked. Great for a large amount of people. It's big. Three bathrooms are nice. I loved that the fireplace was set up to easily use. The view is nice. And quiet in the winter. It's pretty run down, but would be very good for a large group of people who are there to join together and cook and socialize. The wifi was fine after we reset it. I arrived from Vancouver, and some of my family from Michigan and Toronto. Bringing sheets and towels was a chore. I was excited to see the Cottage as the pictures showed, but most of the knick knacks and books shelves (comfort decorations) have been removed. There were beds, and a picture in each room. Very little cozy decor as shown in the photo's. There were no curtains in the main suite I was putting my Aunt and Uncle in, which was a concern. The lower level was musty and hard to bear. Communication was infrequent with the owner. I booked after Christmas and paid $1850 for three nights. I Paid more and felt like i got less. I had to enter through a kitchen window because I received no response to a request for check-in instructions until after the check in window had lapsed. (There was an unlocked window off the deck with the screen out which seemed to be the exit and entrance of more then just myself). The bedding was old, there was dog hair sticking out of the wood floor by the couch. The main bedroom bathroom shower door was broken with a note on how to use it otherwise.

Fantastic time!

Cottage was beautiful and spacious. We went canoeing, swimming, relaxed, and were able to catch fish right off the dock. Would definitely come back again.

Wonderful family week at the lake

We had such a great time as a family at this Muldrew lake cottage! Some highlights of the property include a huge deck with beautiful view of the lake. We had amazing views of the sun setting every night while sitting outside for dinner. The cottage js also located on a beautiful winding road that has a great 5km loop for daily walks! The cottage was clean and had everything you need for cooking and enjoying a cozy stay although you do need to bring your own linens and towels but this wasn’t an issue for us. The host was very quick and responsive when we had some questions. The only weird thing is you have to take your garbage and recycling with you when you leave since there is only pickup service on Wednesdays. And because we had more than 2 bags we were charged at the site we were instructed to take it to. Luckily the site was on the way home as it is a bit of a drive from the cottage. You will also need to bring your own drinking water. We stayed here during the September heat wave and I totally missed that there is no AC in the cottage. This was a bit of a concern for us as I had my infant daughter with me and the cottage would get up 28 degrees inside the main room at the peak of the day. It would cool down to a more reasonable 22-24 degrees eventually overnight with fans running and windows open. Every room does have a ceiling fan that works well and the basement is naturally cooler so we would go here if we needed relief. Overall a great place to stay!

Another great week on Muldrew lake

Our family of 8 had a great time for our fourth consecutive year. The lake is very nice and close to Gravenhurst. The cottage and amenities are excellent and very clean. We hope to return for a fifth year.

Great weekend getaway

The cottage was beautiful and very clean not to mention Martin answered any questions I had almost immediately after I texted him. The water/ view was amazing and we loved the canoe that came with it. Only issue was the fire pit had no seating and the cottage doesn’t come with sheets or towels other than that 10/10 would recommend!

Nice cottage experience

This place gave the perfect cottage feel with the lakefront and the deck. Martin is super responsive to any questions you may have, which is great! The reason for not giving a perfect 5 star overall rating is only because there was a small issue with the water supply although Martin was quick to resolve it. Overall, we really enjoyed staying here.

Great

Only concerns were no kettle , no tv for grandkids , no curtains in master bedroom so up every morning at sunrise. Nice having 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Everything else was great. Would recommend this property. Likely try to rent next year.

Beautiful Winter Getaway

Amazingly charming property with a real cottage feel. The deck is massive and hangs over Muldrew Lake. The open concept kitchen and living room was great for hanging out in with the wood stove burning. Wifi was fast, property was clean, and Martin was attentive to our needs when I messaged him. Great property for a family getaway of with a group of couples. Will definitely book this again.

Absolutely Incredible!

We absolutely loved our stay. So tranquil. The rental was spotless. All kitchen cupboards were stocked with all the dishes, utensils, pots and pans you could ask for. The owner was very responsive and did everything making our first VRBO experience seamless. Have booked again for nex5 year.
