This condo was perfect for our long weekend in the WV mountains. Only one problem upon check-in, but it was resolved beyond our expectations. Somehow the cleaning crew had missed this condo prior to our arrival. Shortly after notifying the property manager, the crew arrived and got busy. They were apologetic & very nice as they cleaned, replaced linens, etc. The next day when we returned from an excursion, we found a pie and a note from the cleaner. That was quite a pleasant surprise, and it meant a lot to us. Good people here!
Day 1 maintenance in to light gas logs & close damper. Day 2 maintenance in because furnace would maintain a 62 degrees.
Day 3 when attempting to wash the total of 5 towels, heard a dripping and found a large bucket with a drainage hose on TOP of the electric dryer/washer unit overflowing, text renter at 7:30 pm, maintenance in at 530 pm the next day. Drained water with measuring cup into the towel filled dryer. Renter was aware the drainage bucket on top of the dryer/washer unit. 5 towels, 3 partial rolls of toilet paper for 4 people for 4 days. No value and owner/broker unconcerned with possible "electrical code" violations.
Originally planned to stay here then there was no communication as to the keys. Once we finally got the key we found out the condo wasn't cleaned. We were no able to get in contact with the manager and ended up staying in Maryland for the night before s resolution was made. We ended up in a nicer place but had to pay for the full rate. At this point in time I accepted the lodgings because I wanted to start my vacation but overall it was not a good experience
Ground floor just off the ski lift makes this property a great ski weekend getaway. Property manager was very responsive when we opted to come in early before a snow storm. Condo feels dated (more so than pictures convey), but it ultimately served our family of four well for a weekend at Timberline.
From what the listing shows⊠the room was much darker than I had expected. The couch and chairs are super dark and so is the drapery. It does not look like this picture.
It was clean, but I can see where dust has accumulated on the edges of the carpets and so my allergies weâre definitely a bit aggravated.
For my back the bed in the first room was so soft that I had major lower back pain . The second night we chose to sleep in the back bedroom and that was better for me⊠but I could feel the springs.
The chairs around the dinner table were all super loose and need either tightening or replaced.
Honestly there is need for much updating and brightening of the place.
The heat was great⊠as soon as we put the heat on it was warm in no time! That was awesome!
It was prime location for those wanting to walk out their back door and hop onto a lift!
Great location for skiing. 1st floor slope side was super convenient to the chair lift and lodge. Kitchen is tiny so don't plan on cooking with more than 1 person.
This condo was perfect for our family of five. A bedroom with a bed for each child and a separate bedroom for me and my husband. The black shelves in the dining room by the door were a perfect spot to organize our familyâs helmets, boots, gloves, etc. This condo is on the first floor which made it easy to get in and out of. The locker for skis was right by our door. It was super easy to get our family to the lift. We just walked out the condo door and across a small parking lot and we were there.
Took my family here for a little Thanksgiving getaway and we had a good time. The condo was very nice and is right at the ski slopes. Unfortunately for us it was unseasonably warm so nothing was open as far as recreation is concerned. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and I would definitely stay here again. Check in was easy and the staff extremely pleasant and helpful.
The location is great for skiing, and Iâd consider renting again in the winter. But, I didnât enjoy that my friend had to vacuum cobwebs from every corner for us to feel clean, why do we pay a cleaning fee? The wooden cabinets and light fixtures feel dirty. There does not appear to be laundry aside from the apartment sized washer and dryer. No way do those clean sheets and towel thoroughly. We brought our own sheets expecting this issue, but of course the bed advertised as a king was a queen. There was no charcoal grill available as pictured.
